“Ordered slimline water butt to replace present old one that was leaking. Arrived un damaged in the time stated. Had to make a hole in the lid for the down pipe ( I wrongly assumed it would already have one) duh. This was easy enough to do and has been filling up nicely. No issues whatsoever.”

“Came quickly. Only issue was the tap connection leaking. Only after it had collected quite a bit of rain could i see it dripping. Had to get some PTFE tape and wrap around the thread. Seems ok now. So if you buy one make sure you have some tape just in case, or perhaps stick some on during setup to avoid getting wet later!”

“I am very pleased with Water Butts Direct. Delivery was within time stated and Courier very helpful in carrying the obviously large package into my garden. Love the design on the butt too as adds that extra something. Although being elderly, I was able to assemble the stand; cut the required hole in the lid and place the whole with down pipe slotted within the lid. Very impressed with child safety locking lid too. An excellent purchase!”

“Bought as a replacement for an existing high-capacity water butt, this feels much more substatntial and therefore likely to be more durable. The locking lid is a good safety feature but I would like to have had a built-in access point for rainwater. The absence of a drain point I feel is a poor design feature making moving the butt problematic once in use due to the weight of residual water. Also, the usable capacity of the butt is probably somewhat less than advertised as a result.”

However, having established the best price, the service was very good and the water butt arrived as predicted. It appears to be well made and value for money and will no doubt serve its purpose over many winters.”
