“Despite Brain of Britain ordering online whilst tired and cunningly ordering the wrong thing, a phone call with Daniel sorted everything out, and even got me a couple of spare tap washers. All the bits and pieces I needed, and hose to fit my connectors sold in any length I wanted - perfect, saved the hours of chasing round last time I needed something. Really pleased, will be my first port of call next time I need something.”

“Easy to order, fast to arrive. My only thought was the packaging. Based on being a company selling things to help the environment, my sachets came in a box with polystyrene pellets. They would have fitted easily in a card envelope which I could have recycled.”

“The water butts i purchased were exactly what i expected everything was supplied as described . It was a shame the delivery was not so good the boxes had fragile tape on i ordered 2 butts 1 box arrived very battered and upside down the other was totally ripped down one side it is lucky that the butts i purchased all parts are placed inside the butt and the lid is fitted tight.”

“Bought two Harcostar jumbo water butts. One was delivered with one of the screw-in stoppers forced in on cross thread. Nearly sent that one straight back. Fortunately managed to correct the fault, but it shows carelessness and lack of quality checking.”

“Had so many great comments on this water butt. In a small garden is makes all the difference having a water butt that is ascetically pleasing. It's nice and light to move into position, fitting the tap and tapping the hole for the diverter was nice and easy. Be aware the diverter kits can't be used as intended as you're unable to fit your hand inside the butt. All this means is the diverter kit hose goes direct instead via the attachment (not a big deal). You will however have to use a 23mm hole making drill bit instead of the 32mm they provide. Really rather simple to figure out. The planter onto is such a great idea and in a small garden all the planting space is vital. Really pleased with this purchase.”

“I am delighted with my water butts. They arrived very swiftly and were well packaged. My handyman was impressed with the comprehensive fixture kit and said they were easy to connect to the drainpipes. He is now thinking of buying one himself. They look really good in my garden and are just what I was looking for. It would have helped to know that they were coming on a pallett. I found it difficult to manhandle that into my garden and might have been able to get assistance with prior warning.”

“Said in stock on website. After ordering, email saying out of stock. Arrived two days later!! Then received email few days later saying that it would arrive!! All a little disorganised but hey I received what I ordered!! So not complaining!!”

“Plenty of choice on the website, but a medium sized (250 ltr?) water butt was competitively priced. The lid is of a hard type rubber rather than brittle plastic. This is better. Overall, a good product for a good price. There is one thing I would criticise though - it arrived wrapped in layers of clingfilm/soft plastic, enough to fill up half our kitchen bin and not recyclable as far as I know. A big cardboard box would have been much more environmentally friendly.”
