“Will not be using the luxury wood company again, and I'm sure my experience will explain why !!!! My log were arranged to be delivered between 11 am and 1 pm. 11, 12 and 1 came and went but no logs. Phoned the contact number to be told that due extra delivery's it would be now delivered by 2pm, so I requested a curtesy Phone call if was likely to be any later, but as 2 came and went, yes you've guessed it, none was forthcoming!! At twenty to 3 I Phoned the luxury wood company and spoke to a manager, and was told with very little sympathy, that as they subcontract out to a delivery firm and there very little she could do about it. And to put the icing on the cake, when the logs were eventually arrived at 10 past 3 pm , the informed me the delay was it fact due the lorry be in for a service not increased delivery's, as I was informed. And the final cherry on top was that the large crate of logs would only be left on the front pavement and not in the drive as I wanted. !!!!!!!”

“I’ve used this company for years. Never had a problem. Highly recommend them as a company plus I’ve always believed everyone should only burn decent fire wood rather than chopping up reusable pallets and burning scraps found in skips etc”

“Bought a mix of Ash & Oak nets this time, as the Ash I bought previously was very poor but thought I would give it one more try. Again I am finding the Ash is not good quality wood, being very light and therefore burning very quickly, perhaps this is as good as it gets now. My recomendation is to stick to the Oak.”

“The delivery was very efficient but at least 2 of the posts were badly cut and are effectively scrap I have not yet unpacked most of the consignment so there may be more defective ones to be found”

“Have always been delighted with Luxury Wood in recent years. Excellent logs and competitive prices. In past years Customer Services have provided good info regarding deliveries but not this year. Originally our 2 pallets were scheduled for delivery on 19th October so I waited in all day for it but I was informed at 4pm that they had transport difficulties. Delivery was rearranged for the morning of 22nd October. No delivery or feedback from them. Chasing up Customer Services in the afternoon I was informed that delivery would arrive later that day. No delivery and no feedback from Customer Services that day - a second day wasted waiting for delivery. I phoned them the next day and was told that delivery would be within one hour. It was! Have recommended them to others in previous years but would be reluctant to after this experience...”

Dear Richard, We are sorry for the unpleasant experience you had with our subcontractor Pall-Ex. All transport companies are doing their best to operate as normal as possible during those difficult times and some of them are failing to provide their usual service. We are all hoping we will get through this safely.
