I am a repeat customer, I have ordered a large crate of kiln dried oak logs every year since 2018, always been impressed by quality of the firewood… but this year’s crate was full of small and poor quality logs, many pieces riddled with wormholes, very few decent logs. I will try another supplier next year.

only problem was with an awkward driver employed by EVANS TRANSPORT. delivery day was slightly foggy [visibility more than 300m] and driver refused to complete the delivery because he couldn't see the branches of some overhanging trees. luxury wood company will now only send small loads/deliveries even though we regularly have 18T lorries delivering here.

I have ordered Kiln Dried wood from Luxury Wood Company for a number of years now and always had great product and delivery. However, on the last delivery my giant crate which is supposed to be supplied stacked in a giant crate, was delivered split into 2 with no plastic covering on part of it and insufficient on the other part (on a day when it was pouring with rain). Therefore only part of the delivery (the part in the crate) which cost almost £500, was able to fit in my log store and the rest was on my drive. I complained but was just told the delivery company sent it in a smaller van without consulting me first; had they done so I would not have accepted delivery in the state it was sent. It was all very disappointing and despite numerous emails I was not offered any compensation and feel very let down.

I have been purchasing wood from The Luxury Wood Company for years. Unfortunately, my last order arrived the nets were considerably smaller and some of the wood was the size of kindling

Why has the price of pellets more than doubled since last winter? When we fitted this boiler I was told wood pellet prices would be stable as it is a naturally grown sustainable fuel, what has changed?

Despite the cost of the product doubling in price, the communication from the Luxury Wood Company was poor, with no updates on delivery information, until over 10 days after the order, and only then when I called in for an update. At this point I was told that the delivery would be the following day, leaving little time to plan for the delivery. An hour later the delivery process redeemed itself with a representative from the haulier calling saying that they now had the pallet and when would be convenient to deliver it. Their communication, their service, and driver couldn't have been better or more helpful. Simply put, the poor communication from the Luxury Wood Company really let them down. 4 damaged bags, loosing about 15 kg of pellets in total, but that is to be expected.

Good logs but appalling delivery arrangements. This company needs to seriously review this. We were kept around for two days awaiting delivery with no reliable status updates, the second time this has happened. Would be reluctant to use them again because of this...

Dear Richard, We apologise for the negative experience you had with our subcontractor Pall-Ex. All depots are contracted to book-in delivery dates directly with the end receivers. If they fail to do so, you have the right to refuse delivery. We can always speak with Pall-ex on your behalf and assist with organising the delivery date. I would like to write a review but unfortunately i still have not recieved my order it has been 15 days and still not been processed at the warehouse recieved an email a week ago saying 3- 15 days and nothing has chainged still at the same poin spoke to customer service today didn't hava a clue I am none the wiser where is my order?

Quality of wood great, but every single piece needed to be cut to length to fit the space. For a company that prides themselves on ‘mm precision’ this has not been delivered here unfortunately. Frustrating as the 3metre lengths the company sells is exactly what I needed so no cutting should’ve been required - this has added labour and therefore cost to the job. Quite a few lengths also bowed but appreciate there will always be a couple. Good job we have a saw.

Very disappointed with the oak logs. Do not burn at all well. Will not use this company again will revert back to my normal supplier

Sadly, for the first time, the wood is not up to scratch. This time I went for the oak ( before I have had beech, birch and ash ) I know oak is slower burning but this has not been dried to the same extent - it merely smoulders and will go out unless paid a lot of attention. Previous wood has been fantastic.

no contact before arriving. every single log was in diferent shapes and sizes, i’ve ordered 100x100x2,400mm , and most of them was betwen 103x108mmm. also lots of cracks.

Dear Mateusz, We always pre-advise delivery dates, ETA is sometimes possible depending on the driver and if the delivery is outside the offices working hours. There has been no complaint filed regarding your delivery. Please note we require all issues to be reported via email at support@luxurywood.co.uk The landscaping grade timber has imperfections as stated on our website.

We have been buying large crates of logs from The Luxury Wood Company since 2017 and they have always been excellent until this year. Our latest purchase of Kiln Dried Oak is very poor and below the standard shown on the website. This is their reponse... "We are very sorry for the negative experience you're having and all inconvenience caused. It is very rare but does happen on occasion. We will chase this up and see what we can do to prevent such issues in future. In the meantime we would like to offer you £30 OFF your next order with us. Please let us know if that would be of use and we will create a voucher to this amount for you." Many of the logs are very thin and short and therefore burn quickly. We cannot return them as we cannot load up the pallet. We consider this load of logs very poor value at £289.95.

The goods were received quickly, the delivery is satisfactory! but the wood itself was delivered, the quality of which disappointed me, I'm not talking about knots and bark, the wood in many places already has signs of decay ... This is my experience that I want to share with future buyers ...

Expensive and delivery has increased by 300%. Delivery drivers seem unable to operate a hand pallet truck, usually tipping the logs all over the road.

The oak sleepers I purchased were quite a motley collection, some weren't useable at all because of chunks missing. Very disappointing.

The process of ordering was easy enough. The delivery wasn't. Chaotic, no account of the challenges of the delivery and very difficult to get hold of anyone to organise a sensible delivery plan. It has made me think twice and more about using or recommending The Luxury Wood Company to anyone else. A shame as the wood itself is obviously of a high quality, but there are clearly issues to resolve.

I had been using the Luxury Wood company for a number of years until sadly, on this occasion being let down. I still consider the product to be excellent, I purchase kiln dried Ash nets, but the delivery service less so. I am of course aware of current road haulage difficulties but having made 2 appointments, waited in both days for nobody to arrive, nor make any sort of contact on either of my contact numbers, I cancelled my order. Very disappointing.

not happy have used this company for a few years and never had an issue but lack of communication and delivery issues have finished the relationship with them they are not the cheapest company out there and i would expect a much higher service i have marked them as poor due to the fact i have had three attempted delivers and still have no logs
