“Almost bought from LWC but in turn they, and me, were severely let down by a delivery company that could not explain why they could not or would not deliver the logs to my home, despite the pallet allegedly already being on a truck in Edinburgh, 35 miles away. Delivery people just lied all the time when asked about delivery, guaranteed delivery next morning, then told in afternoon, just that delivery could not be made. This after delivery outfit indicating the pallet had only arrived late, despite being on their truck the day before LWC not totallly to blame as they gave me my refund very quickly AND communicated with me well throughout.”

Dear Douglas, this was an instance where we were badly let down by the depot and in such instances we quickly refund people to make sure they do not lose out. We are going to find out more about what happened in this instance and if it appears that the a successful delivery can be made we will contact you.

“I bought a crate of oak. It's fine but I think the pictures the website is photoshopped. The girl standing next to the crate appears much smaller than the crate reaching up .In reality it's not that big . Bit misleading but everything else ok .”

Dear Adam, the crate you received should be 1.7 x 1.2 x 0.85 (m) as stated in the product details when you purchased online. For safety reasons we are not able to send out a bigger crate.

“My second order from Luxury Wood. I ordered just half a crate of kiln dried Oak this time. The full crate of Ash from my last order lasted two Winters. Excellent quality firewood, packed solid in the crate with a mix of different sized logs. I always chop up the crate into kindling so everything is used. My friends always comment how well my woodburner burns which as well as having a good stove is a testament to the quality of the logs.The order process is simplicity itself. I have to mention the delivery man. I had nipped out when he delivered. When I came home my crate of logs was on the drive alongside my log stores and he'd even left room to get my car on the drive too. Fantastic service by all involved. Very happy and very warm!”

“The wood delivered is a good quality and very dry, although the delivery was a farce not receiving a call until the day of the delivery and the driver not able to get the pallet off the back of the vehicle.”

“It started with a shocking attempted delivery. The company employed were intent on just shoving the crate of their truck from 4ft high. Driver just drove away. Eventually LWC rearranged delivery and promised compensation for a day wasted waiting on a delivery. No compensation but even more annoying was no follow up by LWC customer service. So all in a real bad experience. This was my 4th time using LWC and probably my last which is a shame because the wood is usually good value.”

“The delivery was spot on time the delivery man was really helpful the wood was so tightly packed we had all on getting it out & the crate made excellent kindling in fact the crate was better than some of wood we've had in past all in all excellent definitely will order again”

“Website very easy to use. Delivery company called and was very friendly and helpful booking in the delivery. Driver was really courteous. Wood seems to be dry and burning well (Went for the ash). Only suggestion I have it that it would be good to put an object for scale on the website near the photos of bags of wood. This bag was HUGE! Will definitely use service again.”

“Excellent quality and size of Ash which certainly makes a big difference to speed of burn and heat output. Great to be able to specify wood type rather than the normal ‘hard wood’ specification by other companies. Minor issue with delivery vehicle getting into Lane but we overcame the problem so all credit to the driver. It would be great if delivery vehicle came with hi-ab crane so that the bulk bags could be lifted over a fence and into back garden. Hopefully this could be considered please.”

“Good quality logs. Good price, easy to buy, no issues with products at all. Only issues is the courier. I had to chasse them to confirm delivery dates instead of them confirming with me. This matters as its a large load and you need to be around to recive it. So 4 out of 5”

“Wood was ok but lorry driver not very happy when I asked him if he would put wood in back garden said he was supposed to leave it on footpath”

Hi Alan, most of the drivers are happy to move the goods to where you would like them, but if they are in a hurry or the surface they are loading onto is gravel or grass they will only drop kerbside. We tell people to prepare for kerbside delivery in all cases.
