“I bought the peat briquettes as they are the cheapest but also the best on the market. I also bought the smokeless coal but think the bags are of poorer quality with quite a few ripping open along the seals causing spillage. The company products are of a good standard but I find it poor that If I want to buy more than one pallet I have to pay the full delivery surcharge on EACH pallet- a delivery discount for multi buys should be available. Myself and my friends buy together to save some money but paying an extra £70 per pallet is a sore one .”

Dear Colin, the rising price of haulage is a concern and something we have tried to minimize in terms of passing fees onto our customers. If you call us next time we can certainly look at a multipallet discount and refund you for any broken bags on this order.

“The wood is great, burns beautifully. Well packaged in a sturdy crate which we are now turning into our own wood store! Unfortunately the delivery company tried to reverse a large lorry into our drive and damaged the gate by taking out two panals. The delivery guy did however, do his very best to ensure the wood was left on our drive, he only had a manual lifter too so quite an achievement! Thx.”

“very nice people to deal with , always excellent communication with regard to delivery, good consistent product, what else could you get on a pallet delivered to your door six feet high and half a tonne for £200 ,with such ease ? not much, totally recommended, forget the rest use the best.”

“I have used Luxury Wood Company a number of times in the past and been more than happy with the service and product, and would give them a very good rating. However on this occasion I have to say I am a little disappointed with the logs supplied. In the past the logs have been of a good cross section but this time the cross section of all the logs is much smaller than previously supplied, including a number of round branches of about 5 or 6 cm cross section. For this reason I can only rate them average.”

“great service. delivery prompt. new heat logs are much more compact and give a lot more heat. they dont break up so easily. Therefore appear to burn hotter. (my opinion) will be back to order again.”

“Great product, online service follow regarding delivery company could have been better, just advising what was happening with order, status of shipment etc. Delivery company very good and cannot fault product, great. Just a bit of investment in systems would lead to fantastic customer service.”

“Whilst your products and pricing are good, the delivery experience was not. My wife ended up in an argument with the delivery driver who had decided to completely ignore our extensive delivery instructions which are not difficult to follow, that is if the driver can be bothered in the first place. The pallet was dropped at the front of my house leading to my wife and daughter having to manually load one ton of biomass pellets into the back of our Jeep and driving it to where it should have been dropped in the first place. It's rather a good job that we have a large car isn't it? At one stage my wife refused to take the pallet because the driver was so rude. I put to you that non of this is acceptable and I believe the carrier was Murray Hogg from the Tyne and Wear area. I suggest to you that you change hauliers to one that recognises that they are actually offering a service to both you and your clients. I will be telephoning to discuss this with you again in person when I am next ordering. I would add that the following deliveries are made to us and neighbours addresses without incident; coal merchants, oil tankers, builders merchants etc, so therefore all of this is completely unnecessary and if I have this experience again I will be looking to change suppliers. “Excellent full pallet of kiln dried oak, very dry, good range of wood sizes and burns beautifully. The pallet was very well wrapped and completely watertight and the thick cover on the top and down the sides allowed me to access the wood in small amounts before i completed the unloading to wood store. There was an initial problem with the delivery notification but this was quickly sorted. The wood was delivered on the day specified by the depot and the driver was extremely helpful and managed to place the pallet perfectly, albeit in a not so perfect location. Highly recommended company! David J L”

“Delivery was faster than estimated delivery date. The delivery driver was brilliant and went out of his way to help us put the logs away. Very impressed with the logs that were delivered, cut perfectly to size, there are also some smaller pieces which are perfect for starting the fire. This is our first season with a log burner so was unsure what to expect. Overall the experience has been a very positive one. We have already recommended The Luxury Wood Company to several friends and family members who have log burners. We will definitely be ordering again when we need more logs”

“Previous delivery was appalling, so only ordered a small pallet of heat logs . The Luxury Wood Company now highlight that delivery may not be direct to your door. However, on this occasion I was not at home when the logs were delivered, so I was pleasantly surprised to see the logs delivered outside my door. Can't thank the delivery driver enough. Glad to see the Company has advised customers that there may be problems with the delivery in certain situations.”

“these heat logs expanded far to much for my liking, I have had to break them into three parts I prefer a log that stays in one part, as a purchased last year from a different supplier, they do burn ok.”

Hi David - the ECO BRIQUETTES are very dry and because of that they will expand. We advise people to break them in two, and never put more than two logs in a stove. They will burn very hot as well.
