“The nets of wood arrived and as usual the logs are super dry and excellent value. The loss of one star is only due to the courier not carrying out the instructions given by ourselves and the luxury wood company. Our expected phone call to arrange delivery never happened and could have caused major inconvenience.”

Hi Jeffrey, standard log length is 8-15cm width and 25cm length. We will be in touch to see if you received anything different to this.

“The website was wrong so they didn't have all the stuff I'd ordered. Then the delivery company only delivered part of the order. However, despite all this they were good to deal with, sorted the problems out, and the product was good. I would use them again.”

“Have ordered wood previously from LuxuryWood after our HETAS installer recommended them. He tested the first ever delivery we had from them and the moisture content of the kiln dried wood was as advertised. This time there was a mix up with the delivery and the usual call to confirm delivery time didn't happen, so I wasn't at home to accept delivery on the Monday and move the wood from kerbside. However, rearranged with the driver and he took it away and re-delivered on the Friday. Having good delivery drivers makes all the difference. Happy customer.”

“The Luxury Wood Company provides excellent value logs and peat, I have used them for the past two years, their products are always of the highest quality, their logs give of a radiant heat, and their peat keeps the fire going throughout the night keeping the whole house as snug as a bug during the winter months.Their delivery service offers good delivery options and always delivers on time. I have discovered a friend for life and won't be going anywhere else for my winter fuel....just stocked up at summer rates ready for the winter...Thanks The Luxury Wood Company”

“They always provide good wood at a competitive price The telesales dept is pleasant and professional they deliver when it pleases me and also with the distribution company I choose as some delivery vehicles do not have the best tail gates for such a heavy load I cannot fault them and I have in the past used other suppliers but they are now my one and only choice”

“We have always been very impressed by the quality of your products and the excellent service we have received. However the last pallet of kiln dried logs we received was not as well stacked as usual. They were obviously just thrown in and not carefully stacked as usual. We're assuming that was a one off and we'll certainly be ordering from you again. Barbara Worrall. Cornwall.”

“We had been using a delivery from another company which had been very poor. Most peculiar actually, the moisture content was fine and it was Ash, but the timber simply didn’t want to burn, it was hard to light and would sometime go out. What a relief when we got the delivery from Luxury Wood, everything became very easy, and very hot!”

“JUMBO CRATE OF KILN DRIED LOGS; fantastic quality of wood, beautifully stacked, good price when bought on special offer. The reason for 4* instead of 5* is the delivery. I had clearly stated I needed to know when this delivery was going to arrive as I needed to make sure there was going to be a strong man in the house to help. It turned up unannounced. We have easy access, the trouble is the ever so slight slope to pull the crate onto our premises and there is NO way one driver can do this. Luckily (for the driver and me!) a strong man happened to pass and he kindly helped!”

“Two reasons for poor rating: 1) I rang before delivery to specify a delivery window of 7 days. I was told to put this in the "delivery instructions" box. I did this but it made no difference as the courier tried to deliver outside of the window. The courier said they did not receive the instructions I sent. 2) Even though the wood looks to be of a high quality the girth has been cut too narrowly. So rather than being "logs" much too much is closer to being "large kindling".”

Dear Stephen, standard log width should be 8-15cm and you should have received exactly that. We will contact you about this today, and to discuss the delivery timing issue.
