“The wood looks good stacked, does burn a little hotter than our normal supplier, but at £300 it was twice as expensive as our normal supplier. Couple that with the three week delivery time and I don’t think we’ll be going back. The wood does the job very nicely, but value for money comes up short.”

“no complaints about the wood, but the delivery driver really pi**ed off my other half, who was at home when the delivery came. He arrived in a bad mood and made it worse. She said 'never order from these people again' to me as soon as he had gone.”

“Only just unpacked the large crate. Wood seems fine, dry, well cut into quarters and lengths very consistent (about 10inches). No little twigs or branches, proper logs. Only issue is that the crate cannot be moved over gravelled drives and is very heavy. Unpacking is a simple (though time consuming) job. Best if it can be put into a woodstore rather than leaving it in the crate.”

“From completing the online form to payment to pre delivery to actual delivery is simple. The wood quality is excellent and to have kiln dried logs is ideal. My only criticism is the cost which is comparatively high compared to other firms.”

“Order delivered on time. Delivery process managed courteously and efficiently placing the order in the location required. Bagged logs made the process of storage signicantly easier. High quality wood and service. 5 stars well deserved.”

“The beech logs are very high quality and their moisture content is perfect for immediate use. My only criticism is that, while the logs were a uniform length, a number were far too fat to fit in my relatively small stove so had to be chopped down to size.”

“Another pallet of quality logs delivered with care. We are having some building work done at home just now, so had a few items blocking the driveway. The delivery driver rearranged these with his pallet truck so we had room to unpack the logs from the drive - excellent service.”

“Good quality wood but too many ridiculously small logs. I bought Ash because it burns for a longer time. However, many of these logs are more like kindling that burn rapidly and therefore not worth paying the extra price for.”

“The process of ordering was easy enough. The delivery wasn't. Chaotic, no account of the challenges of the delivery and very difficult to get hold of anyone to organise a sensible delivery plan. It has made me think twice and more about using or recommending The Luxury Wood Company to anyone else. A shame as the wood itself is obviously of a high quality, but there are clearly issues to resolve.”
