“All good except I asked if they would let me know when it was to be delivered so I could make arrangements, the only indication I got was on the morning of the delivery which was pretty inconvenient. As i was not advised of when the delivery was due I cannot say whether it was on time or not.”

“The wood itself is great and the online ordering process is easy. My only small gripe is that when they deliver, the pallet has to be put right at the end of my drive as the pallet loader has tiny wheels and cannot go on gravel, which makes unloading all the wood a really slow process. I would imagine a lot of people ordering this wood live in the sticks and have gravel drives - maybe this is something that could be improved somehow?”

“Only just unpacked the large crate. Wood seems fine, dry, well cut into quarters and lengths very consistent (about 10inches). No little twigs or branches, proper logs. Only issue is that the crate cannot be moved over gravelled drives and is very heavy. Unpacking is a simple (though time consuming) job. Best if it can be put into a woodstore rather than leaving it in the crate.”

“The beech logs are very high quality and their moisture content is perfect for immediate use. My only criticism is that, while the logs were a uniform length, a number were far too fat to fit in my relatively small stove so had to be chopped down to size.”

“Excellent price and the oak quality is good. Delivery needs improvement - better to provide a delivery date quicker on placing order with a time slot at least two days before rather than on the morning.”

“Logs were very dry and the crate was well made and of a fair size, the oak logs burn well but I would have preferred a chunkier-sized log which was as shown on the website photo as I have a 14 Kw boiler stove which can chew through the smaller sized logs. Suppose they can't pick and choose what they get in stock but that's why I docked them a star.”

“This is a good fuel supplier who I have used previously to purchase kiln dried logs from and found the quality very good. Delivery is usually reliable and prompt but I believe the carrier has been out sourced and received numerous very confusing messages about delivery and tracking on said it would deliver at 11.59 pm which would never have been realistic. I phones the carrier to arrange a new date as they had cancelled original delivery day and advised when not to deliver as I would be out so they delivered on the day I advised them not to. It was dry at the delivery address but the pallet covering was torn and the boxes of natural firelight’s were wet damaged and spilled onto the log nets. I rang the Luxury Wood Company and spoke to a lovely young lady who was most apologetic and said that she would arrange to have a new delivery of fire lighters sent by courier. She did and they arrived within a few days with some extra boxes. They just need to sort out their delivery company as they are not doing a great fuel supplier like The Luxury Wood Company any favours. This is the first time I have had a reason to complain so hopefully it will be taken on board.”

“The wood good but the delivery company is really bad for three days running they said it was going to be delivered but wasn’t and on the tracking each day it said it was out for delivery but didn’t turn up.We eventually got it when we didn’t know it was coming.”

“Good quality Eco-briquettes. Exactly what I wanted. My only criticism would be I didn't get a delivery option and the only correspondence I got was a text on the morning that it was to be delivered.”

“Brilliant delivery driver. Wood seems very good although the pallet at the bottom was very wet so we will have to dry some of the lower logs. The ones we have used so far meet everything the web site claims. Just a little disappointed with the wet ones.”

“Ordered a crate of Alder fromThe Luxury Wood Company. Received exactly what was in their description. See photo. 4 stars given. As delivery timings were a bit haphazard. Re not notified when goods were to be delivered. Other than that. Would i order again? Yes.”
