“My last delivery was made possible only because I happened to be at home at the time. We do not get mobile signal in this village and the delivery man only made contact via my mobile and I didn’t receive the message he sent to say he was on his way! He did however, help me unload and stack my log bags for which I was extremely grateful. I was disappointed tho’ that it was obvious the pallet they arrived on had been out in the rain.......not good considering they were supposed to have all been kiln dried! Very pleased I had them over the last few days! Thanks.”

“They turned up unannounced. As a pensioner, I knew I needed help to move 480 kilos 100m from the road so arranged for my neighbours to help, explaining it would be a pre arranged delivery. We carefully planned how the logs would be moved. Very fortunately they were in, although we hadn't made the necessary pre delivery arrangements. It was chaotic and stressful.”

“Communication seems to be an issue with them. They want everything done on the web. Wouldn't take an order for a sample pack to trial as it was out of stock and then it had to be done on-line. Had to wait for an email to say back in stock before an order could be taken. I've sampled another UK suppliers product that is just as good if not better and ordered a one tonne pallet by phone with an agreed delivery date. No messing around with a web site that invariably goes wrong!”

Dear customer, We have not received any communication or attempts for such by yourself. We have a team ready to assist every day during the week, available to you or any other customer from as early as 8AM to as late as 5PM. We are reachable via chat, phone or email, but even leaving a note on an order is enough for our team to make sure you are taken good care of! We are sorry to hear that the item you were looking to purchase was out of stock at the time, we have decided to differ from most companies and not offer to take orders on items we do not physically have in stock to avoid misleading customers regarding delivery times. On the positive side, we are very quick to deliver once an item is back in stock and we rarely have items out of stock thanks to our amazing supply and warehouse team! We believe our website has great technology to offer, which allows us to inform you when the item you desired to purchase is back in stock and also to make it convenient for you to order as soon as it is available without any delays. So far our customers love this function and is widely used! We hope that you will be willing to give us a real chance to prove that our services are indeed 5 stars. We feel that the one star rating does not match the service level we have provided and we are hoping that next time you will be able to rate our full potential by ordering a pallet, rather than rating us on a small sampler delivered quickly and promptly without hassle. “Our delivery arrived a day late. I cleared the snow from our 15 metre drive to facilitate large crate of logs to be delivered after being loaded on to LW'S pull along fork lift truck. However delivery cancelled due to snow. Next day I cleared the drive of snow as yesterday before my delivery came. The driver backed up the monster artic lorry to my gate. He got inside the back and valiantly got the full crate of oak logs onto the fork lift He then pulled the precariously balanced very heavy full crate to the tailgate of the lorry and commenced to lower the tailgate I looked up and decided I was standing to near to this wobbly load. Its a good job because the whole load fell down just missing me and my gatepost! Most unfortunate. I regularly order my logs from LW and this is the first time I have had any problem. i spent the next three hours loading the spilled logs into my wheelbarrow to take down my drive to my logstore (16 loads). This was my first order of oak logs but I shall be going back to the longer lasting ash ash.”

“Firstly the advertisement is misleading as the woman standing next to the crate with a raised hand must be about 4 feet tall or the picture has been photoshopped, albeit the dimensions provided were correct. In addition the wood was damp probably as a result of the product being stored outside and not being properly covered.”

“Great service. Great delivery - kept us informed when the delivery driver would be delivering. The wood - a full pallet of birch logs - burn brilliantly in our multifuel stove. They are nice and dry and of good size - some big logs and some smaller ones which suits us fine. I will definitely use The Luxury Wood Company again”

“Logs are logs to some extent, but there were too many filler pieces. As I have to unload every log, this is a pain in the neck. I ordered a full load and the pallet wasn't really up to the job. I 'had to' climb onto the deliver lorry to help the driver move the pallet to the tailgate and steady it to stop it toppling over. Packed well to keep the logs dry.”

“The logs burn very efficiently and very quickly, however, giving a good heat. They do create more ash than competitive fuels and they would benefit from having a hole down the middle. The logs should always be broken in half before putting on the fire, for safety reasons. They burn to a light feathery structure which collapses too easily and spills out onto the hearth, which if not fire proofed could prove dangerous.”

“Delivery was great. Crate looked good until we unwrapped it a lot of the wood was only good to use as kindling certainly not luxury wood. Ordered Sunday had we waited until Monday we would have got it £10 cheaper. Will be going elsewhere next time.”

“I ordered 25 nets of oak and the same quantity of birtch which was delivered on a pallet and shrink rapped for protection which for me is ideal just in case I cannot put it away there and then it’s my third time with luxury wood, the delivery to my address is not easy and the transport put exactly where I wanted”
