“Great service from The Luxury Wood Company. I was struggling to find hardwood, but they cam up trumps quickly and everything arrived as explained. Wood was great quality and a perfect size for my 5KW stove.”

“The wood is always good, however the delivery service leaves a bit to be desired. We received a phone call at 5.30 on Thursday night and the lady informed me that our wood would be delivered on tomorrow. As that was not convient I asked if it could be delivered the next week. We agreed it would be delivered on the Tuesday. We stayed in all day & phoned at 4.30. The lady who answered said our wood wasn’t even with them yet. It finally got delivered on the Thursday. Luckily we were not at work that week. Unfortunately this is not the first time the delivery has been unreliable.”

“Delivery by a local logistics company was on time and dropped close to wood store. The Ash logs are perfectly sized, very dry and easy to light. They burn long, hot and very clean.”

“The wood and delivery were fine BUT there was NO notification on when delivery would be! No notice of any kind and I do think that's not good enough. The delivery driver was fine and himself surprised when I said no information regarding delivery!”

“The quality of the wood that was delivered is very good. The crate was tightly packed that is also good. My only criticism was with regards to the actual delivery - the driver was polite and helpful. However, from the point of view of Health & Safety he had been poorly trained and the effort expended by him in use the manual fork lift device and turning it within the lorry gave me - and I believe the driver - some qualms. However, please see comments on delivery. We had been given an erroneous delivery date by your agents. The date given was too soon! However, on the day of delivery we had not been notified and delivery was around 16:00”

“Have to compliment the company in their pricing and delivery service. I’ll look at the wood I buy next time as I think the beech I bought burns too quickly. I think one of the factors Is the size of the logs. They’re very small. However I’d certainly try them Again with a different wood to see how that goes.”

“Wood comes in crates that go through my gate rather than have to come over the cattle grid. (Good as too many idiots block the turning circle). Good quality wood with few knots so much easier to split. Alder makes a great second-level lighting wood; easy to split, light, and easy to ignite. Oak is a good main fuel. Shame that Oak half crates ran out but birch nets a good top-up compromise as easy to stack at the end of the season if any left over. Lighting wood is a bit inconsistent, too bitty but I can probably split Alder to do the job.”

“Delighted with the large crate of Ash containing a good mix of small and large logs, the large being particularly good in this cold weather. The pallet company didn't call before delivery so wood arrived while we were exercising but the driver left it exactly where we asked for when we returned. A call the day before would be good.”

“Simply the best logs we’ve ever bought. All logs were less than 2% moisture with the vast majority being zero (thought my moisture gauge was broken!) I know that will not be the case each time but the quality of the Ash and the variations on sizes means I’ll be ordering again.”
