Chose Start Rescue due to good rating on Defaqto Our opinion: Very unhelpful customer service team (except for Erin W and Leanne J) Passed from one person to another Told a decision could not be made as the manager had gone home (at 3 o'clock in the afternoon !!!!!!!!) Software malfunction which said our policy ended a year before we paid for it !!! Hours of phone calls before problem with boiler was sorted Five days without central heating or hot water (NOT 24 hour response !!!! it was explained to me that the 24 hour tagline refers to the call centre opening hours NOT the response time) Various sub-contractors seem to lead to poor coordination New pump fitted and leak fixed (c. 120 hours after Start Rescue was first contacted) Then repairer found another problem with the system (pressure valve) Start Rescue now saying they will not pay for repair as the boiler is functioning (I have to drain water from the system every two days) but WILL attend if the boiler breaks down... AND THIS WAS THEIR PLATINUM COVER !!!!!!!!!!! We will neither renew nor advise anyone to sign up for this "service"

Despite apparently renewing online I then receive a telephone call at an inconvenient moment from Start asking questions which could have been covered by tick boxes in the online process,I became annoyed and cancelled the cover. Regretting my hasty decision I renewed again online and received confirmation of renewal but this was subsequently denied. Surely it would be better to organise a simple renewal process.

Customer service never answers the phone. Just kept repeating.....Sorry for the delay, all our customer service advisors are clurrently busy, please hold and your call will be answered shortly. Poor service!!!

Disgusting. Mis sold me a product. Cost me several thousand pounds in lost work. My lawyers will now be involved to claim damages. Disgusted.

I filled in all the details and paid the money and an hour later received a phone call canceling the policy .but can't have money back for a few days but took it quick enough

StartRescue is a service company promising to recover my car from breakdowns. As such, my cover starts tomorrow, and I only have a policy in my name right now. How on Earth I am suppose to review a service that has not been provided yet ??? This request for a review would make more sense after the year has passed.

I only signed up two days ago and my service just started at 01:35 on 28.06.18 which is today, when I signed up I asked to not be sent and junk-mail but today I received and email asking me to review the service when I haven't even used it yet so I now know that the service is going to be very poor when they don't listen.

The mechanic had no idea what he was doing. He couldnt inflate the tyres and insisted that the tyre had a puncture and could not be used. Took it to another garage, tyre was inflated and in perfect condition. Total scam as they wanted us to pay an extra £195 for next day removal. Its all about money for them. Scammers!

Breakdown vehicle never came. A few days later the England branch rang and asked if everything was OK , I explained the situation and they said the foreign branch woukd be in contact that day, it never happened

After 24hrs, I have still not received email confrimation of my purchase. Oddly this satisfaction survey has arrived before confrimation, indicating that they are in receipt of my correct email address and eliminating admin error as a root cause for delay.

Isle of Man customers are not welcome but you only find out the day after your purchase is complete. Then your refund takes 5 days! Very poor.

Had the service for 1 day and they're asking for a review. Never had to use them, couldn't comment on the service except being cheeky enough to ask for a review one day into a year contract.

What's to review? like all insurance, they make it very easy to take my money, but when it comes to a claim, there always seems to be some reason or other not to honour it, probably because there's a R in the month. The acid test will be if my car lets go in some fashion, then it will be time to review the product on real life experience, at the moment I've paid for an insurance breakdown/recovery service I hope not to use. Please don't feel downhearted about a one star, if it were possible I wouldn't have given any star, after all how can anyone review a product/service they haven't used?

Spent 5 hours sitting in my broken down car, freezing cold, no food or water waiting for recovery. Many calls made to you only to be told that you are doing your best to send someone out to help me.
