I bought cover and immediately called for help with my breakdown. I was told I need to pay £90 for the call out. Thankfully, I was allowed to get a full refund. 1 star due the lack of clarity with when a contractual call out at no extra charge can be taken.

Startrescue have asked me to write a review of their company. I have just bought their offering. I have no idea how well they perform as a breakdown service. Why ask me one day after I have bought a policy? I give them one star for asking.

Went to change my car and they wanted more money from me,and I only had a month remaining on my old policy so it was cheaper to scrap that month and renew from start so that was a rip off.

I'm being asked to review a service that is not due to start for another week, so I'll give it one star for wasting my time and then improve it if it is a good service.

I originally was a customer of start rescue for a number of years my and we're an excellent company without fault I got my renewal price for 55 pounds I did mention to customer services was this the best price as I would rather stay with them, I was assured this was the case and a small discount had been applied for my loyalty. Imagine my surprise when online as a new customer I could get the same cover for less than half.WHAT A COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY CUSTOMER LOYALTY NONE.

I purchased 3 star breakdown cover last night. Then my son raised a question, if I broke down on the mainland, would Start rescue take us to the ferry ,then would someone meet us at the other end on the island? Well,I asked this question this morning on a call to Start rescue,and the answer was so confusing I gave up. I also asked about Breakdown repair insurance, and asked, say the clutch went, the car would be taken to a garage and repaired, why should I have to pay up front then claim it back? It's stupid to have a policy and have to pay up front. So finally, I cancelled my policy and asked for a refund.

I never received a confirmation email to set up an account and when I tried to set an account to access my documents it took 4 days for them to email me a password reset code and by then I had completed my break.

I never received my start up e-mail. I telephoned and was told you were experiencing problems but I would receive one soon. I didn't. However you managed to send an e-mail asking for my opinion.

Well after entering my car registration, I was given a choice of quotes, I picked the £26 quote and then entered my credit card details, I then received and email confirming that StartRescue had charged £38.70 to my credit card !!! Not a smart thing to do. I then emailed their customer services and asked them, either to refund me the difference or cancel the policy - they cancelled the policy AND without even asking what went wrong....what kind of customer service is that ???

failed to inform me of the start and end dates of the rescue package. failed to listen to my requirements, failed to give me the right package, failed to accept responsibility for their msitakes, failed to put right the package they had sold me. Extremely poor attitude from both supervisors, admin worker and call handler.
