Sadly I feel so let down by the whole experience. In the attempt to give a fully informed review will detail start to finish: Sales visit: arrived on time and listened to our needs and a plan was put together in prep for survey. We used the brochure and online details to decide what we wanted and committed to 3 rooms. Initial impressions were good enough for us to feel confident it was an informed choice. Price wise was ok but the so called positive reviews and warranty meant we were felt it was worth the premium. Initial niggle was then securing a price match on an updated sharps offer. Managed to negotiate a reduction but not fully price matched. Survey went ok and we were able to make minor alterations (handles etc) and no cost. On both these visits we explicitly checked it would be ok to completely clear just one of the 3 rooms and allow enough room in remaining 2. All ok apparently. Delivery day, tried to offload in all 3 rooms. Eventually after calls to office agreed all would be stored in the cleared room. Fitter arrives a day late (first fitter could not attend due to current health reasons but only found 2 minutes before deadline). After being initially rude about not listening to clear instructions to go to front door and me challenging him to get out of back garden (we have dogs) he got to work. He was not happy that the allocated room was very crowded but eventually cleared enough space. Fitter took great pride in his work but was let down by damaged materials and the doors were nowhere near the expected colour as per online samples and brochure. Call to customer care (well some office outside of any form of customer care) and engagement with technical team with pictures sent to highlight mismatch in door Colour replacements would be sent. I advised at this stage and sought reassurance that the doors would arrive as per online colours and was told that they would. Finally new doors arrived a day late and I was at work so daughter (adult) afforded access. Guess what same colour. Rude and abrupt email finally received from customer care team saying sharps fulfilled contract. Wrong. If there was any doubt why would you originally agree to send new doors? We also had never seen any real samples but here assured the driftwood door finish is grey. It’s not. Everyone we have shown pictures to says it is Elm. We now have paid out thousands for a product we don’t like with zero recognition nor support. The customer care team have even stooped so low as to advise us we had been shown samples before. We absolutely had not seen anything on the door colours in real life. Logically it would have been sensible for sharps to send a sample before replacing doors? I will be seeking council regarding my rights Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 immediately and will not be bullied and lied to by Sharps period. It is alarming how frequent this is becoming and totally unacceptable as a so called reputable market leading provider. Devastated does not even come close. Damage and worry has extended far beyond just the financial commitment. Never have we felt so upset and angry. Whole process has left us feel stupid and naive. Such a shame, if the doors were the colour we expected the end products we would be happy with but the underlying attitude and forceful tactics and responses from our customer Advisor is shocking (via email too). She even was overheard telling the fitter just to plough ahead and fit them despite me raising the issue with the doors again with total disregard for my wishes as a customer. Unbelievable. Clearly the idea was to force fitter to finish in my absence and bully the contractural commitments we now have in their world. Never ever will I get sharps to offer their services and will have every intention of exercising our consumer rights. Please if you choose them look at real life samples and don’t take the word of the sales Advisors (who lie). Don’t let the covid excuse prevent them showing you these.

A Sharps delivery lorry completely blocked the road both ways for all traffic to get past today, just so he could pop into a house without having to park his lorry in a safe and proper place. I was stuck for 20 minutes causing me to be late for an important appointment, despite my protests to the delivery driver he wouldn’t move his lorry and all I got was a refusal to move and a load of cheek from him. If that’s the kind of person that Sharps employ then I would advise you to stay clear from this Company.

We should be moving house in around 8 weeks and called into Sutton Coldfield branch with diagram with measurements and photo of the bedroom to get an idea of design and cost but was told we could only have a visit by one of their designers and he could only work to architect drawings. Very dissapointed at this attitude and needless to say we won't be using a company which doesn't want our custom. The sales assistant was an elderly gent who didn't seem to have much of a clue how to deal with customers and was poorly dressed for what is supposedly higher class retail.

Do not use this company. Sheila in Horsham shop so rude that even my husband had to tell her to shut up and listen to the customer! Designer ok, but wanted payment once agreed on design. Dressing table and wardrobe. Surveyor was ok but also fairly abrupt. The fitter. Suffice to say that he was a joke. Smoking wacky backyard outside. Leaving my cloakroom a mess having over 5 days had wee’d and pood in my brand new cloakroom. The rubbish he left in the bin a disgusting disgrace. The dirt and dust left in my house,on carpets a disgrace. No dust sheets are provided. My bedrooms were covered with dust and sawdust. Radiators covered in dust, lampshades covered in dust. My garage covered in dust,my freezer covered in dust. No attempt to get the house cleaned and left how it was. On completion fitter asked for final cheque. I was so upset with what filth I was left with I cried. I had to pay nearly £200 to have professional people/cleaners in 2 days later. The photos that the cleaners took I submitted them to Sharps. The customer service was diabolical. Rude and arrogant. Amy springs to mind! I told her to submit the photos to the directors. Over night I decided to phone my bank and STOP the final cheque. The filth and rubbish they left behind was a disgrace but at my insistence they sent a rubbish collector to remove the filth. We used Sharps 20 years ago and were very impressed. This time very disgusted. If you are contemplating on using them -Don’t!!! They knew they were in the wrong and consequently have not pursued for the final payment and if they did we would take them to Court. Wished I had used Hammonds instead. Please do not use the company. They deserve to go out of business.

Inflated prices for very poor service! Avoid. Our Sharps bedroom furniture has just been completed (almost) but has taken a total of five weeks and we are still not totally happy but have given up. We have spent just under £7000 for something we could have got for less than half. Not the 'quality' we were expecting, from the product which is ok through to the Customer service which has been dire. I exclude Joanne Smart from this review, the only CA who seemed to genuinely care and try her best. The Sales Consultant promised us that all fitters use dust bags to avoid mess everywhere. This is NOT TRUE. Our first fitter James had left on the final day before we got home from work. The mess I walked into almost made me cry. Cardboard packaging and all the offcuts left in the room, everything, including the insides of the wardrobes covered in sawdust. I spent five hours cleaning before able to use. During the fit my husband, a builder himself, questioned the quality of the fit due to a chunk missing out of one of the plinths which the fitter had painted over, hoping we wouldn't notice, gaps between joins where plinths had been cut too short, a vertical divider that had been fitted which was three inches short of the ceiling (the fitter assured us that this was how Sharps made them, later completely denied by the Manager who came out to look at the install who agreed that it had been made wrong and needed replacing), bare MDF showing at the corners because they hadn't been fitted properly, plinth held up with wooden wedges because it was cut too short from the floor, glue residue left on the insides of all the wardrobe doors, three drawer fronts marked which were eventually replaced, and the drawer unit under the wardrobe not fitting flush with the doors which stuck out like a sore thumb. Now I know that nobody likes to have the quality of their work questioned but when it is costing the same as a brand new small car my husband felt entitled. The fitter took exception to this and after my husband left rang someone on his phone slagging him off, unaware that my daughter, working from home in the next room, heard every word. Totally unprofessional and unacceptable! Over the next four weeks we endured fitting appointments made and then cancelled literally two hours later, a customer service advisor confirming an evening appointment at 10.30 in the morning and then the fitter ringing 15 minutes later to say he was on his way - we were all at work so this was cancelled. A fitting appointment made which again was cancelled at the last minute which meant I used a days holiday for nothing and generally just a load of stress. We had to postpone our carpet fitting for three weeks because the room wasn't ready but finally Sharps sent Andris to sort things out. Finally a fitter who clearly takes a pride in his work. It took him 8 hours to put things right and still now we have the glue residue on the inside of the doors because as hard as he scrubbed it will not come off! Sharps are well aware of everything that has happened and despite many discussions, some quite heated, have only given us a discount of £427.55 for our troubles and this was only after I rejected the first offer. My advise to anyone thinking of buying from Sharps is to avoid them and go elsewhere. You can get just as much, if not more for far far less money and probably save yourselves a lot of hassle and upset too. We have learnt a very expensive lesson.

No, do not buy! Its sold that it's all made to measure, its not. Flat pack mdf at its best. The fitter was cutting to size in our house. You could buy IKEA wardrobes of better quality. Fair enough they won't fit your space exactly... but at £2500 less I should have taken that option. Please save yourself thousands of pounds!!

AVOID - I would even give them 1 star This company took nearly a year to get the wardrobes we ordered and surprise surprise we have broken door and wood coming away. After 2 visits and 3 months later still waiting. Customer Service and Managers total waste of time. Very rude and think saying sorry or human error is ok. They take your money and could care less. Please if you are thinking of getting new wardrobes dont use this company as you will just be wasting your money.

Designer was lovely and very polite so we went ahead with the wardrobes. Booked a surveyor... didnt show up and I wasted a days holiday. Waited another month for the surveyor to arrive who was also very helpful. Sharps told me the days that they were coming to drop off and install. The men dropping off the wood were quick and friendly. The installation man... didn't show up. I've had to ring up and rearrange installation and spoken to a unhelpful and rude lady on the phone. I complained about my experience and told them I would not be using them again and I would be leaving them a bad review, to which she hung up on me. DO NOT USE SHARPS! It will take you half a year to get anywhere and will cost you a fortune.

Awful home visit!! Absolutely terrible visit from the salesman who appeared to have no clue about their Covid guidelines! He arrived without a mask and then moaned when wearing it, letting it continually slip down. He wasn't wearing gloves and didn't get out any hand sanitiser during the visit but kept chucking his clipboard onto my bed during the measuring part!! Unbelievable. He didn't appear to understand social distancing and was condescending and pushy to the point I had to ask him to leave several times. He was also 45 minutes late for the appointment but had no consideration this would affect my day. It's been a long time since I've dealt with a pushy salesperson direct and I now know why. Never again!

Distatrious customer service. Worst company I've ever dealt with. Completely ignorant. Gitter left massive mess and destroyed my walls. My wardrobe was completed a month ago and yet no one has come to fix the walls or pay me damages. Will never use again, nor will recommend to Nyone. AVOID at all cost!!!

Customer service is shocking. Basically take your money and then fob you off at every other step of the customer journey. Surveyor and fitter both fantastic, customer service team terrible. Lied to about fitting time, fitting cancelled at very short notice, told i'd only need one day and now the fitter has arrived and said there is no way it could just be done in a day - 'head office will have just said that to get you off their back.' Nice way to treat someone who has just spent almost £3k with you, much of this upfront based on your new 'covid payment policy'. Thanks Sharps.

Baffling how you can pay £5k for a wardrobe (which is nice, fitted well, nice chap) and then they sour the whole experience by refusing to remove any of the rubbish left over - my drive is a mess with off cuts of wood, cardboard boxes and a black bin liner that I’ve just tripped up on in the dark. Absolutely baffling.

There are lots of one stars and this seems about right! They charge a fortune for a substandard job! They cancelled on us on numerous occasions, cancelled the fitting, gave us less than 2 working days notice about another delivery, want almost full payment before they have even delivered, the fitter has completely wrecked our newly decorated walls and skirting board, they left the room and the wardrobe in a FILTHY state and they don’t even get rid of the rubbish at the end of it. I would NEVER use them again! Oh, and they chipped our bannister on delivery.

1. Despite 2 designer visits and one from Sharps' surveyor no one noticed that one of the designs couldn't work. 2. Their fitter did extensive damage to a newly painted bedroom and broke a light in the hall. 3. When this was pointed out to Sharps they offered us half the cost of repair and insisted that we go to Retail ADR if not happy. 4. We did - and won. 5. The whole experience has taken nearly a year to resolve 6. No one has ever apologised 7. NOT recommended

In 2002 I had a Sharps bedroom fitted in a property I had just bought. I spent time visiting their showroom and I was happy that the product I was buying was of good quality. In 2018 I sold the property and the bedroom wardrobes looked brand new. I recently moved to another property and contacted Sharps for a quotation. I was expecting the same high-quality product as before. The quotation was higher than I expected but I felt it would be worthwhile for a quality product. The showrooms weren't open and the 'salesman' had no samples but I felt that I couldn't go wrong with this 'quality' product. How wrong could I be? The wardrobe doors look cheap and plastic. I couldn't believe that a great product 20 years ago could go downhill so much. I wish I had gone to Ikea for wardrobes as I probably would have had a better product for a fraction of the cost. Very disappointing experience and I would never buy from Sharps again. On a positive note, the fitter was great. He was clean and tidy in his work and knew what he was doing.

I was told a fitter would be arriving on a given day a Wednesday to fit the wardrobes . Arranged time off work for the work to be done then gets a phone call Tuesday to tell me it’s been delayed until Thursday . Asked to speak to a manager this was refused. I said I wanted to cancel the order as your not fulfilling the contract and told that’s not possible . So now I have lost holidays for no reason and have waited months for the fitting. Whilst I accepted that some of the delay had been caused by COVID I am unhappy with further delay wasted holiday and been given the brush off. Do not touch this company absolutely disgusted before they are fitted

Cheep veneered chip board is used for the interior shelving Interior Lights that you have to wave your hand under for them to come on. Then they stay on too long after you close the door and the hilarious thing about them is, they are stuck on with double sided sticky tape that comes un stuck after a few days so the lights fall down. “Soft closing Doors” what a joke they don’t even close. The customer service guy I spoke to was rude and subservient, I paid £5,600 for these wardrobes I will NEVER EVER use Sharps again and I will not be recommending them either. I am disgusted to say the least.

Horrendous. Would not buy from here. I had a design consultant come out to quote me for some cupboards. The sales person didn’t show me any of the samples and immediately started going on about taking a 25% deposit. She had a bullying manner and asked that I do not tell sharps I had said I dint want to proceed today and lie and say I didn’t answer the door?! She said I was lucky to have her as some of her colleagues would have been a ‘Rottweiler’ with me. She said why have I come I could have been at home with my family? She drew up some scribbles and came up with a nonsense quote which she said she’d do as a favour? Eh? Completely awful couldn’t wait for her to leave. Actually felt pretty shocked for the rest of the day. Not the ethics in a company I look for when making a purchase.
