Showroom staff very efficient and friendly, booking for home visit made but had to be changed a short notice due to illness which wasn't an issue. Salesman visited as re-planned, followed by a surveyor to take final measurements and fitting booked. Fitter arrived as planned, my only comment was how long it took to fit. Total of three days to fit two wardrobes and a chest of drawers which I thought was a long time, my son recently had a full bedroom fitted by Hammonds who took just one day to complete. This meant I couldn't go out for thee days as I live on my own. A little inconvenient but when complete it was to a high standard. Overall very pleased with Sharps.

The Sharps staff were excellent, as was the saleslady who came out to us for initial engagement. The surveyor came out on time measured up & explained clearly how things would proceed from that point. The delivery men were extremely quick, efficient and professional, the wardrobe fitter came early in the morning as planned & worked very hard throughout the whole day to complete the work, all staff we have spoken to either on the phone or face to face have been extremely helpful & friendly. We are very pleased with the high quality of the wardrobe & is a definite enhancement to the bedroom.

Showroom staff were very helpful, as was the salesman who came out to do initial measuring. The surveyor who did later measuring was also very helpful and friendly. The delivery men were extremely careful and professional, and the fitter worked very hard throughout the whole day to complete the work, and was also courteous and friendly. When we dealt with phone staff they were clear to understand and helpful and returned calls when promised. We are very pleased with the wardrobe now it is completed. The only criticism we would have is that the time schedule of the delivery and fitting were not explained to us at the time of ordering, indeed we felt we had been misled to expect the delivery and fitting to be close together. It was a shock to be initially told that there could be a 10 day gap between delivery and fitting as we live in a small house with only 1 bedroom and it was difficult ot accommodate rearranged furniture. However phone staff were sympathetic and arranged it so that we did only have a 5 day gap between delivery and fitting. Had this been explained to us at the time of ordering we would not have felt that we had been misled and would have been prepared for the time gap. We initially considered cancelling because of this problem but are glad now that we did not. Carol Walker

Complete lack of customer service and care. Rudeness and putting Sharps needs before the customers. The service does not in any way reflect the promises. We started our journey in June and we are still not complete by the end of August. That is just for one bedroom/office and we have decided not to have the other bedroom done. They even had the temerity to send a letter as though we are debtors demanding the final payment before completion of the job to our satisfaction. In essence it can never be right as they got the measurements wrong and we now have to take great care in opening and closing the bedroom door in order to avoid scratching the side of the cupboard. Wish we had gone elsewhere. We have experienced loss of earnings and unnecessary stress due to Sharps and would advise anyone not to touch them with a barge pole. We have considered taking legal action but can only imagine that such an organisation usses high level legal advisors who can get them out of messy situations, so we would be throwing good money after bad.

Very disappointed with a number of aspects of this company. I initially approached them as I liked their sliderobes and had limited space for conventional doors. I was also led to believe their furniture was bespoke. Well I couldn't have the sliding doors it seemed, as apparently they needed an extra 3" depth of cupboard, and the only 'bespoke' element seems to relate to fitting cupboards under a sloping ceiling. The quality of the carcasses is not great and seems no better than the very basic cut price range we fitted 30 yrs ago and were replacing. We were dismayed to discover that we were expected to do all the preparatory work ourselves of removing the old wardrobes. But our biggest shock came when the fitter announced the job was complete - we couldn't believe it when we saw that the wardrobes were fitted against raw plaster walls, the rails screwed directly into plasterwork at one end, with an area of brick and rubble where 30yrs ago skirting board had been removed. There were NO INTERIORS to the cupboard units! I was furious but as we were due to receive house guests within 72hrs and I had to have the contents of the cupboards back in situ promptly, we spent the whole of the next day poly filling and wallpapering the inside, a fiddly job because of the many shelf divisions. Why had the designer not highlighted this? In retrospect I recalled he had run through a check list which included 'backs' and 'sides' which I had visualised as external aspects of the furniture, and had in my mind's eye the wardrobe so nicely displayed in the showroom which incorporated a fully lined interior - and which our very basic pre-existing wardrobes had. Doesn't every wardrobe? I ordered wardrobes, not cupboards. So thanks, Sharps, for the set of doors and shelves you sold us, the work you left us with, the stress, and the massive disappointment. All for the bargain price of under £5000.

Awful company, awful service. I had 2 appointments booked and they never showed up. I tried to call customer service, but was just told how sorry they were, with no real solution offered. The designer I was booked with might be still lost in traffic, but they don't seem to care at all. Don't waste your time with them!

I needed storage quickly but didn't want wardrobes that would date or fall apart. We were guided through the process at each stage by the Sharps employees so we made the right decision on an expensive commitment. The result looks contemporary yet classic and I was able to choose all the detail I wanted to keep my fitted wardrobes within my personal style. My only criticism would be that the staff in the showroom are unable to help with any information prior to meeting with Sharps designer. As I am quite a risk adverse purchaser, this nearly put me off as I wanted to have a better idea of prices before I committed to having someone come to my home.

Day one no fitter arrived was told he had to go back on a job that needed finishing, then was informed by the fitter when I arrived home that he had arrived after 12 midday as he was sent to the wrong address, over 60 miles away, so why was I not told that in the first place. Fitter asked if he could work later to catch up but did not expect him to be there until 2230 hours. Fitter then said he would be back the next day to complete the install. Not sure what time he started as I had to go to work. Arrived home to find the install did not appear to be that far advanced. Fitter said that he would work to finish the job, he left my house at 2300 hours, not impressed, had I stooped him I would have been subject to another day of disruption. The was told that I was responsible for the unused material disposal, where is that stated in the information? To top it all the the hanging rails are in the wrong position, not central so when I hang clothes in the wardrobes the doors do not fully close. For the money spent crap service.

I agree entirely with the previous reviewer, especially on the point of demanding immediate payment on completion. Once Sharps have your money they lose all interest in you. The assurances initially received regarding collection of the rubbish never came to fruition, customer services (they need to change that description!) simply did not want to know - i have just paid a further sum to have everything collected. My wife and i will also not, (my original review is now entirely withdrawn), be recommending Sharps to anybody else.

My experience using Sharps to fit a range of bedroom furniture has been very mixed. The visits by the designer and surveyor went well enough; and the delivery was extremely prompt and efficient. The job was estimated to take 3 days; but despite the fitter's best efforts and really hard work it ran into a whole forth day, with him finishing at 7.30 on a Sunday evening. But, as Sharps pay for the work on a piece-rate, he will still only be paid for the 3 days. Then there are the Admin staff. So called Customer Service. I would say "Sharps by name, sharp by nature". Payments are demanded up front / on immediate completion, reducing the customer's strength of argument with lingering issues. There was never any discussion regarding disposing of the mountain of waste. How do you get wardrobe doors in the back of a car? And the misunderstandings and errors could easily have been avoided by the surveyor bringing a computerised design for the customer to review. I could never recommend this company. And to add to all of this, the furniture is basically expensive saw-dust.

The materials used were not of the quality we thought we were getting. We had to ask for better fittings commensurate with the price paid. Definitely not value for money! It took several weeks and many, many phone calls, to get excess material and waste removed. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

I must say I am most dissapointed with the after service . I had sliding doors fitted and found one of the doors had a large scratch on the side and the silver trim had been cut short and also there was a gap in the track where the door slides . I informed Sharps who said they would have a new door made and would send a fitter out to correct the other faults . The fitter arrived 3 days later with a door, after unwrapping it realised the wrong door had been made . Sharps informed me another door would be with me in a couple of days and the fitter arranged to phone me the morning it was to be delivered , I waited all day and he didnt ring so I phoned him and was told sharps office were meant to ring me to tell me door would be arriving a week later . The following Monday Sharps rang me but I was at work and unable to take call ,so an hour later I returned call , no-one seem to know why I,d called and said would look into it and call me back that morning . No body called so late afternoon i rang again and again was told someone would call me back . I waited two days and recieved no call so I rang Sharps and informed them no-one had got back to me . Later on that day I recieved a call to say fitter would be there to fit new door and correct track etc the following week . The fitter arrived with new door but informed me no track had been delivered !!!! He phoned the office and explained he couldnt complete job without the track , the lady apologised and said would get back to me that morning , recieved no phone call !!!! This company is an absolute joke and I would definately not recommend Sharps to any-one .

Absolutely shocking customer service, would not recommend this company. Designer came out 18/072015, then the surveyor a week later, so far so good, then it all goes downhill from there. After been told that we could have a delivery and fitting date to suit us, don't believe them. They only want everything to suit them . After several weeks and numerous telephone calls, we are still no where near a date that suits us. They want to deliver everything a week before fitting date. Still waiting for them to agree a date that suit us. Asked to speak to a manager and was told they only deal with delivery and fitting. So annoyed with this company that I am considering contacting Watchdog.

Service was good, very helpful from start to finish. Geoff our fitter was excellent and we have been left with exactly what we asked for. Our only disappointment was that we weren't advised until the fitting stage that all waste was to be taken away by us on completion. Given the amount of money we spent, I think this is very poor. We have in the past used another bedroom company who left our 2 bedrooms ready to hang the clothes in and dealt with getting rid of all the waste. Although slightly more expensive it makes all the difference to the overall experience.

A week ago i left very positive comments regarding the overall service we received from Sharps. However, i regrettably have to downgrade that review as to the post-installation/after sales service. On conclusion of the fitting the Fitter advised me he had ordered removal of the rubbish but it turned out he had not done so. Several increasingly irate phone calls later i am still waiting- Sharps tell me they use an outside Company with a 72 hour window for removal - nearly two weeks later i am still waiting. Thy have ruined what was until then an excellent service by very shoddy after sales service. There was no phone call asking if we were satisfied either. Sharps need to buck up their ideas post-installation.

DO NOT GO ANYWHERE NEAR THESE COWBOYS. Sharps, or "Sharks" as i now call them left me with a very average looking room but also left me with a room full of scrapes, dents, pencil lines on walls, labels left on shelves and an extremely painfull to deal with customer services dept. You would think that you are going to get the "Rolls-royce" of wardrobes given the price you pay but i was left with an 80's Lada with scratches on it. Also, for the privillage of having "Sharks" in to your home to wreck it (oh, and my bathroom door was scraped badly), they leave you with all of the packaging, off-cuts and dust they have created to dump. It's not just small bits either. It's 3 metre lengths! I suppose that's ok if you have a Luton sized van! For ME to resolve this, I had to demand that someone from Sharks visit my house to see this damage for themselves as the customer services woman thought it was "normal damage" i.e. superficial decoration. I eventually agreed with money off (a measly £200) so I could get on and use my over priced Lada walk in wardrobe. I am now cutting in around every part of my Lada wardrobe before painting roof and walls and waiting on my newly ordered new bathroom door (remember.....they damaged that as well! The funny thing is, they tell you that it would be a good time to freshen up the room (paint) before the wardrobe is fitted. If you want an over priced wardrobe, damage to your house, enjoy phone calls with arrogant people and like cutting up waste chipboard before taking it to the tip.....then go to Sharps. If you have read my review, save yourself money, hassel and stress by getting a professional local joiner in to carry out work as I should have done.

Everything was first class. From the initial measure to the finished installation, it all went very well. The flatpacks were delivered when they said they would be and the fitter turned up to time. All in all an excellent product. GEOFFREY DOUGLAS

It took 4,5 days to fit 3 wardrobes. CAD drawings were not available, installer asked for these 3 times, they never appeared, so doubt if they were every done for my order. On day 2 an Installation Team Leader called and confirmed 2 large panels were missing, he would order for delivery next day and would follow up on CAD drawing. This did not happen, he did not place the order and CAD did not appear - not efficient. Installer was excellent, trying his best to work on the initial drawings done by the designer. Would definitely NOT recommend Sharps.
