We've ordered a couple of wardrobes from Sharps. designer and survey was good, helpful and friendly. Installation? We've been waiting for a month, booked for 10 days ago, all material delivered on our bedroom in such a way that we cannot use it. The day arrive but no fitters. Rebooked for today. Waited and waited... surprise? They did not turn up either! Did not even have the decency of calling us, we called them to find out where the fitters were! They were quick to take our money, but post-sales customer service is absolutely terrible. Will report back if and when they eventually turn up and how good the installation is.

Pretty good overall customer service. Fitter was excellent but he was a day late due to a previous job being overrun and the fact they are so tightly booked. I think some contingency would be worth implementing with the scheduling.

I cannot fault the design and survey portion of my overall experience - kudos to both "engineers". However when it came to the actual installation and finished product, to say I was extremely disappointed is an understatement! One fitter was only allowed 2 days to fit a complete bedroom, two and a half wardrobes, four-drawer chest of drawers and a free-standing bedside cabinet. This time was completely inadequate - and the fitter didn't arrive until lunchtime on the first day and had to stay until 8.30pm on the second to finish because he was obligated to another job the next day. He didn't accompany me to inspect the finished product and when I did so after his departure I found that he had damaged my skirting board and chipped paint off my newly decorated walls. But worse than this, the inside of the wardrobes were littered with debris (sawdust-like material) and a large portion of the floor of one wardrobe was damaged - hastily repaired with a filler substance that is very noticeable. I feel that the price I paid was high and the quality of the finished product certainly did not reflect this. Mrs Christina Ann Williams

Absolutely terrible! After sales service is atrocious. Sharps hook you with a stellar sales pitch only to leave you high and dry once they have your cash. The company slogan should be 'we just don't care, there is nothing we can do'. AVOID AT ALL COSTS, IT IS JUST NOT WORTH IT!!

We have had sharpes to fit 2 bedrooms in our house, on two separate occasions. The first fitting went off with any problem . While The actual fitters are excellent crafts men. The structural engineers that have to come round are not as pleasant or professional . In fact the first one was extremely rude to say the least. The second one came along an hour early than the arranged time, fortunately for him we were in. On the day of fitting one of the large panels that had been delivered previously was damaged.. Where is their factory quality production checking?.? It was arranged for a new panel to be delivered at 6.30 am the following morning , very stupidly this panel was delivered but was also damaged. Again a third panel had to be delivered. How ridiculous is this. The amount if waste at the end of the fitting was phenomenal. The fitter said phone sharpes they will remove it. Did they no? Never even bothered to return our call. We do have an issue with them that we would like sorting their after sales care is none existent. We have phoned them several times we have emailed them as instructed 6 weeks after the fitting 2 emails later still no contact. My advice find another company

Sharps provided us with what we needed, any change was accommodated, and when we needed him the designer came out, no hassle, fit and finish perfect I had decorated prior to fitment but had very little touching upto do after fitment. Mr Pearson solihull

Extremely satisfied with our fitted dressing room designed by Sharps. They were very professional and listened well at the planning stage to take into account what we wanted. We are delighted with how it looks. Friends and family comment on how lovely it looks. Mr Simon Wing & Mrs Nicola Wing

Many years ago we had a fantastic set of wardrobes fitted by Sharps. hence our return for a set in our new house. The initial fitter made numerous mistakes including; doors misaligned, shelves too narrow, rails too high to be usable, glue on the coving joins and left a lot of mess. Sharps immediately sent a surveyor who agreed that it was a shoddy job and arranged for the wardrobes to be sorted out. While we waited for this our room was unusable which was very inconvenient over Xmas and the house refurb schedule got behind. The second filter also made mistakes: shelves not the same height, shelves too narrow and holes left in the wall. I had to contact Sharps again. The surveyor arrived again and agreed that work still needed to be done. By this time we had had to stand the builder down and more delays were caused as he had to start other work elsewhere. With each contact I felt increasingly sidelined - emails stopped being answered and actions promised in phone calls were not followed up. Finally after over 3 months the wardrobes have been properly fitted. We expected a much better service from Sharps - we were offered no 'sweeteners' for our inconvenience and did not even receive a courtesy call to ask us if we were now happy with our purchase.

Would never use Sharps again or recommend to anyone. Poor customer service from start to finish, 1 no show on the initial consultation and 2 no shows on the installation. Fitters won't take any rubbish or left over wood away from the property!

We first had our daughter's bedroom cupboard made. It was build into an existing alcove space, which originally had sliding door. We had asked for quotes from carpenters for replacement doors, but was never quoted anything satisfactory. Sharps were excellent, particularly their rep Susan who came and measured up and provided the quote. Apart from having to clear the bedroom completely the work was done quickly and to a high standard. We were delighted with the results. Following the work we decided to have our son's bedroom cupboard done as well. Again the work was good and we are happy with the results. There was an issue that we had a delivery of parts in the wrong colour and the 'special order' for white interior took another week to be made, but Susan sorted it all out for us well. Also at the end of the build we had to pester sharps to take away the wood that had been delivered in the wrong colour - too much for us to dispose of conveniently. Otherwise the fitter was good and we are delighted with the results. Would definitely get Sharps in again if we decide to have our main bedroom cupboard done. Ellie Chorley and Jim Spinner

The whole process was trouble free, we had a good idea of what we wanted before hand and this was enhanced by the designer. We had wardrobes fitted and now have plenty of hanging space and a much neater bedroom. the fitter worked very tidily and left the bedroom in a very clean and tidy state at the end of each day. I would certainly use Sharps again

Great product but the process was a little time consuming. I am really pleased with my Sharps wardrobes, so pleased that I have had two separate bedrooms done. The fitter was really professional and managed to do all that we needed without making any mess. The quality will clearly last a long time and they look stunning. The only issue was that the initial consultation lasted over 2 hours and then they had to come back another time to check it was done right the first time and this also took a couple of hours. I also paid on card and unfortunately it was declined as my bank were concerned it had been stolen due to the large amount in one go. I paid the next day once I had spoken to my bank but sharps then tried to charge my card again and this froze my bank account entirely. The accounts lady was very apologetic and nice about it but it took a number of days to sort out and again was a little frustrating. I am a busy lady as I work full time and so found this a little long winded. The upside is though that at least they were trying to be thorough and accurate so I can't blame them for that! I would use them again so that's all that matters. Thanks Sharps. Mrs Sally West, Bretby

I had a study fitted. The designer took on board all that I said I needed in the room, which did not leave him much space to work with however after compromises on both sides we ended up with a workable design. The fitter came on the day arranged and worked really hard and tidied up as he went along. I agree with another reviewer that there did seem to be a lot of waste at the end. People who have visited have commented favourably on the study/music room and asked who did it. My only niggle is that my files do not fit comfortably in the top filing drawer but this could be resolved if I were to replace my file folders! I am surprised at some of the negative reviews, perhaps it is a regional issue. I am happy with my study and would recommend this company.

Sales guy gave a great pitch but beware, things start to fall apart from then onwards. Missed tech inspection dates, delivery and installation..... product is 2nd grade at best (chipboard.... is it the 80s!). Poor quality, overheard the "master builder" tell his side kick he's had two weeks training! Finish of product a million miles away from the sales pitch of "they'll look they have always been there", didn't realize he meant they would look battered and old! Uneven joins, dents and scratches, screws visible through door; Even internal layout does not match design! Not happy and to top it off, they didn't finish installation and now no one in customer service department knows what is happening! Do not use them! Court action pending!

We have just had Sharps build made to measure wardrobes in our main bedroom. They look great. The consultation was quick and straight forward. We knew what we wanted but the designer was able to add or clarify some things we hadn't considered. The price was only a little more than we expected but now that they are in we are really happy with the results and the value for money, especially the guarantee. The fitter made a really good job and we are really pleased with the quality of the workmanship. The only negative was that we had to dispose of the rubbish ourselves as they don't remove it. But the fitter tidied and cleared up after in the house. John Cuthbert Newcastle Upon Tyne.
