Rip Off . The prices advertised is not what you pay. Extra extortionate rates to top up on fluids. Quoted £98 for full service requested £327 to top up on 3 basic fluids

Failed to collect my car on 3 occasions. First time no explanation given. Second time I had to phone them to ask what was going on (and they didn’t know). Third time I received a last minute message to say driver not available. The one time I had a service they tried to rip me off saying my car needed work which wasn’t necessary- this was confirmed by my local garage. Have recently seen this company on BBC Watchdog

Worst experience I ever had. Do not trust this SCAM Company. What they actually doing is, you make a booking, they look in your area for services, they contact them and somebody from that service it's collecting your car. The service that collected your car invoice the Servicing Stop and then they send you an overpriced invoice. They never answer my calls, it's always a robot that answers and you keep waiting for couples of good minutes until you give up. They don't answer the emails either. If you don't believe me, please search on google reviews servicing stop and it will appear the guardian article.

Made an appointment to have my car picked up on Friday between 8-10. Took the morning off work. Got a call at 9.30. No one is coming. Re-arranged for Monday between 8-10. Took the morning off work. No-one turned up. I phoned at 9.50 and (after waiting for a good 10 mins to get through) was told, without explanation, that no one would be coming. The guy on the phone at Service Stop didn't seem to care, wasn't in the slightest apologetic.

DO NOT USE SERVICE STOP!! I booked my car in for a full service and MOT, paying £500 for all the work and labour, only to for two of the issues that were "fixed" to show as faulty again just days after. The garage claimed no responsibility and wanted to recharge me for the work. It also transpired that Service Stop had charged me an extra £180 on top of the actual cost of works and labour (I would have gone direct if I had known how much they inflate their prices). To top it all off, I received a parking fine as the driver had used my car and parked on a double yellow just minutes after picking the car up! The ticket wasn't flagged to me so I incurred the maximum penalty. Customer service is also terrible. Lots of emails, no one calling me directly or returning my calls, plus I was made to do all the leg work with the garage (which resulted in me taking a full day off work without my car even being looked at). My advice is to find a local garage and go direct. It'll be cheaper and much less stressful!

Not only was my BMW I3 (electric car) booked in and serviced as a petrol car (oil change etc), with only 1.500 miles on the clock they changed items not necessary. Finally returning they keys turned into a nightmare. Although the car was returned, they keys were not leaving me without the use of the car for more than 5 days. Phoning Service Stop got me only into a waiting loop. I am still waiting for the return of the keys. Not amused.

The advisor who called to update me on the service, tried the hard sell regarding engine oil. When suggested that the car needed specialist engine oil at a further cost which was declined by myself, the advisor began to lecture and question my decision claiming I was unconcerned for the safety of family and other road users. Reluctant to take no for an answer the advisor began to over talk claiming he was being shouted at ( more for the benefit of other co workers I would suggest) the phone was put down after him being told a full service was all that was required. The bill was paid at 12.10, but the garage not notified to release the car until after 3pm. The vehicle was duly returned to the home address stating it required further work, spark plugs, pollen filter, brake fluid, coolant and anti freeze, something disputed by a trained mechanic. However the garage had been told that the work outlined had been declined by me. As others have stated DO NOT USE, the firm are cowboys with unscrupulous business practices.

I had my honda civic booked in for servicing and the car got collected within a few hours I received a phone call saying that they were charging me extra for engine flush and pollen filter and have to put in specialist oil, well any car over 2007 runs on synthetic oil so have is this specialist oil. They charged me for work that never got done as I set up marks on oil filler cap and wheel nuts and they said it needed new brakes yet the wheels hadn't been off.The pollen filter was still the old one when I had looked it was all dirty and the panel itself had not even been opened to access the filter.I had my car serviced 2 weeks after and the garage told me my oil wasn't new at all and within 2 weeks its impossible it could be this dirty with loss of lubrication qualities.this company have been on rogue traders I,ll leave link here if not just search servicing stop on youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wneio6Q44oY Please don't use this company they put out fake reviews when they,ve had the true negative reviews on fake email accounts, this company needs reporting lets get this shower of **** shut down

This company is only interested in your money. You are pushed to get things done which are not necessary. Did not bother to read the initial note written. Time keeping is bad.

Arranged booking online 3 weeks before due MOT and service date. 1 week before due date nothing heard from Servicestop so called to check and told that the only garage able to carry out the booking was 20 miles away and I had to drop it off and collect ! Poor Service. 1st time trying them and wont bother again !

Booking in for collection on Monday 3rd of September, email to confirm the week pervious saying someone would contact me that morning. No phone call/text received all morning, contacted customer service who claimed they had contacted me! Had been sat with 7 other colleagues who were witnesses my phone never rang or received a message!! They apologised and rebooked fro the following Thursday. Text from the guy in the morning to say he would be ten mins away, an hour and a half later no one turned up!??! What a joke!!! Don't waste your time!!!!

The build up to the service was fine, right down to the garage calling to remind me the day before. A man arrived on time and took the car away, so far so good. I got a call about 2.30 saying that the front brake pads needed changing..for £70 plus vat! There was another minor problem with a bush which needed replacing..£170 plus vat. No to both. Outrageous prices for a non Kia garage. The guy said would you like to pay a £25 deposit towards your next service at a discount..no to that too as I may not be in the area then. My bill came through by email with the £25 deposit included. There then followed 8 phone calls, average wait 4 minutes, longest wait 13, with one being cut off on answering too to get it resolved. They wanted me to pay the extra then claim a refund, which would take 7 to 10 working days..as if!! It took the intervention of the garage (Servicing Stop are middle men) to force them to send an amended invoice with the £25 deposit as an option. Had I been in work I couldn't have spent an hour and a half on 8 calls to Service Stop and they'd still have my car at the garage today. On a final note..just used my oil dipper and it's covered in black, sludgy mess so I suspect that the £24 plus vat they charged for the oil went straight in the back pocket. I'll NEVER use them again, either Servicing Stop or the garage who did the work. GO ELSEWHERE YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!

AVOID AT ALL COST OR IT WILL END UP COSTING YOU !!! If it sounds too good to be true it generally is......and this is definitely the case here !! Service wise the usual advisories garages try there luck with ie change brake fluid (even though it was only done under a year ago when work was done on the Clutch master cylinder)...MOT wise, it had a fail and an advisory Josh the sales advisor got the advisory wrong and was telling me my rear discs needed replacing that had only been replaced last year.... yet still really pushed for the work to go ahead...I declined as no need for the change as yet(it turned out to be the front discs and yes were worn but plenty left in them hence advisory). With regards to the fail the price he quoted was sounded massively excessive for the Job. I was reluctant but he was very persuasive and assured me that was the going rate, I asked if it was in line with other garages and he assured me it was. So I agreed to the work as wanted the MOT. I rang around and low and behold I was being massively over charged.... I tried numerous times to contact Josh, left messages and emailed but no response. In the meantime I rang the garage to cancel the extra work and tried to discuss the quote with them but they refused to discuss and advised that i need to speak with Josh. i wanted to the work to go ahead but just wanted to discuss the price... After 4 calls to Servicing Stop and 3 to the Garage Josh finally rang me back only to be totally confused with my case as advised it had passed and I need to paid for the MOT and service as originally booked. After some re checking he confirmed that it had failed and the work had not gone ahead as per my request to the garage. I said that I wanted the work done but not at this price as it was a rip off. Josh advised he would be able to get the price down and asked what i had been quoted else where. Of course Josh did not ring back so I paid for the original service and MOT and received my car back. The car is now in a local garage receiving the work required for the MOT pass at a fraction of the price.

Driver arrived on time . Told me that I would receive a call from service stop and they would try and sell all sorts of stuff I didn't need and to refuse it all which they did . The mechanic failed my MOT on worn front discs and so i coudnt drive my car to work that evening and lost out on a nights overtime pay .offered me a price of £170 but when I phoned him at 17:20 to bring my car back to me he told me he was 3o mins away . It took till 19:20 to bring my car home to me then he offered to do the work for £150 as he was late . I refused . I had the work done the next day by a different mechanic for £150 and he said he would never have failed the MOT for the front discs and would have only put it as an advisory and basically the previous service stop mechanic was trying to pull a fast one . Phoned service stop 4 days ago to complain about there service and I have not heard anything back not even an email to say my complaint has been registered .

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! THE PICK UP AND DROP OFF SERVICE IS NOT FREE, THEY JUST HIDE THE CHARGE IN THE AMOUNT THEY RIP YOU OFF!!! Absolute rip offs! The list price says £100 for mot and service. What they don't tell you is all the add ons! Mine only failed on rear brake sticking which the garage said they'd only put down one hours labour which is £35 plus vat. Service stop charged me £79 plus vat for one hours labour £24 plus vat for oil and tried to charge me for a treatment which the car didn't need, I declined it. So what should of been £142 was £224! Absolute rip offs and the garage agreed! All service stop did was appoint a local garage, that's it and charged nearly a hundred pound for that! I will not be using these again!!! I should of read all the bad reviews before using this company as the general consensus is that they massively over charge for everything! Also, they say work needs to be done when it doesn't. I'll also add that the customer service assistant was patronising, condescending and rude! He wasn't listening to me, he talked over me and refused to give his name. It's bad when the garage even tells you to just deal with them in future as service stop rip you off. I've noticed that the replies to negative reviews are all nicey nicey that's obviously to make them look good. Notice the customer is unable to comment on their reply so they could say anything. I will be posting this review on as many review sites as possible!

Absolutely disgusted with the service, firstly I have taken a days holiday and the car was picked up 2-3 hours late on the day of the service and MOT by another garage in Bolton as the first garage who should have picked up my car had phoned in sick, had I not phoned I would have not been informed, left wondering. I have no car and have now been informed that I may not get my car back till Monday, its now Friday so a weekend without my car, took 20 mins to get through to someone at Bookings as the service department had closed. Said someone phoned mechanic in Bolton then got back to me, after chasing my tail for another half hour was left with the promise of a Saturday morning phone call and my car at 12 .... possibly once I pay online with a form they have yet to send. Shambles from the start, I had to go out and meet the person collecting the car because he got lost on the other side of my street. So been left with no car and no real answers. I had 390 miles of fuel, I will be checking that as well. I would not recommend this to anyone else just go to a local place near you.
