Ripped my son off (a student with no income) by completing work without consent then forcing payment under duress by withholding his car. Purely fraudulent business - avoid like the plague 😔😔😔😔😔😔😔😔

I booked an MOT and service with Servicing Stop, after making it very clear from the beginning that I also wanted a quote for a rear diff service. When the day came, they suddenly refused to quote for it or carry out the work — despite this being the whole reason I booked with them in the first place. The MOT passed with no issues… yet according to the ā€œserviceā€, my car apparently had a huge list of faults, including ā€œunsafeā€ brakes. Funny how the brakes were ā€œtoo unsafe to driveā€ but somehow safe enough to pass the MOT on the same day. The contradictions were unbelievable. The phone call that followed was even worse. Instead of advice, we were met with pressure, scare tactics and arrogance. The member of staff spoke to me and my husband like we had no clue about cars, and made it sound like we were obligated to approve hundreds of pounds’ worth of work we didn’t need. It wasn’t a recommendation — it was a hard sell. The so-called ā€œ77-point serviceā€ was honestly a joke. They changed the oil (for an extra charge), changed the filter, and that was about it. Ā£172 for something that barely qualifies as a basic service. The whole experience left us feeling uncomfortable and misled. This company absolutely preys on people who aren’t mechanically knowledgeable, and I cannot stress this enough: DO NOT USE SERVICING STOP — especially if you don’t know much about cars. They will try to take advantage. We will never use them again.

DONT DO IT unless you enjoy being ripped off by a bunch of untrustworthy people out to steal from you. I was given a quote of £217 for a full service, then - once they had my car the price went up to £598 with a smarmy person on the phone justifying the extras that would have cost £160 from any other garage max.

I'm not sure where to begin! I wish I had read the reviews before I booked, as I would never have contemplated booking with service stop if I had.Can I also say that every thing that all of the 1 star reviewers have said is fact, and I'm certain the majority of the 5* are fake. To begin with, the way it is set out online, it makes out that it is a comparison site set up, but unfortunately not, as you deal with the company 'Servicing stop' no matter which garage does the work. I booked for a full service and MOT, and the only thing that was done right, was the car was collected when the garage said it would.I was told I would receive a call around 4pm for my car to be returned. I did receive a call at 4pm to be told my car had failed its MOT on incorrect rear pads. I had new discs and pads replaced a few months previous, so questioned this, but was told this was the case and the vehicle was now classed as dangerous and they would not release it until it was rectified. It was a pressured call, talking very fast, wanting a quick answer, but needing the car for going away, as I tow with it, had no choice. If I'd looked into it further, I would have realised they cannot keep your car, and could have had it towed back home. The charge for the work was £505 on top of the £178 I had already paid for the service/ MOT. The guy I was speaking to then went into a list of items he said needed doing to the car. I won't repeat them, as others who have reviewed have mentioned the same as mine. Seems to be a theme! The total now quoted for all the work was almost £1400, which I couldn't believe, as being on a pension, would make a massive difference. The only grace was he offered to let me pay over 6 months interest free, which I had to agree too. I then contacted the garage who did the work, asking which parts were used, their labour charge etc, and found a huge difference between what they would charge and what I had been charged. For example, to have the brakes replaced would have cost £225 and not £505 charged. As for the rest. at least double/triple what they would have charged. What an absolute rip off! I sent numerous emails complaining about the issues I had and the reason it failed, but received no replies whatsoever. I then messaged customer complaints, and again, no replies at all. Is this how a good company conducts itself? I then contacted Citizen's advice, who tried to be helpful, but unfortunately couldn't. They mentioned getting in touch with the Financial ombudsman, which I did, and they are being very helpful in trying to see if anything can be done on the credit side. The work was done in July, but waited until now to review, so I had as much information as possible. I'm surprised the company has been allowed to get away with this sort of underhanded business practice, and something needs to done to prevent others falling into the same trap. Whatever you do, read the 1* reviews as they are totally accurate of the way the company deals with it's customers. Even the replies to the reviews are majority generic replies. Please do not contemplate booking with 'Servicing stop' as I guarantee it will not be a positive experience.

Not everything that glitters is gold... and in this case, it literally is what happened... I booked a full service and MOT, for which I was charged Ā£153.84. To my astonishment, after they performed the work (which, at this point, I already doubt the quality of Servicing Stop's services), they called to say that I urgently needed extra services which would total Ā£890. They apply pressure in such a way that you are forced to accept, with excuses that it is an urgent service and that you absolutely have to do it, giving you the option to refuse, but that option is very well hidden... In short, I regret not having read the reviews of previous customers, because they are basically complaining about the same thing as me. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY BECAUSE THIS IS A SCAM AND A RIP-OFF. When they called me to talk about the extra charges, I spoke to Adem, who was rude and very impatient. Now I understand the reason for his impatience, because all they care about is charging for those extras, which, unfortunately for us, if you go to a normal mechanic, you will pay three times less than what Servicing Stop asks for. I give one star because I cannot give fewer stars, and if I could, I would give the maximum number of negative points. I feel completely robbed. Even the company that collects and delivers the cars says that Servicing Stop is a rip-off...attached you can see the receipt of my rip-off

Omg where do I start. Booking was super easy as was the collection. I was having a full service and Mot. When it got to 3.30 I started to assume everything Was ok and looked forward to delivery of my car. At 4.10 I got ā€˜the call’, my car had failed spectacularly with the guy listing so many faults I couldn’t keep up. When I asked for the price I was told Ā£1675 !!! On a 2009 runaround with full service history and well maintained. I had only clocked up 357 miles in the year due to health issues. I had questions, Why did the garage complete a service on a car the said was in this condition. Surely a mechanic worth his salt would have spotted these major issues and contacted me with my options? No they supposedly completed that part, even changing the oil then continued with a time wasting Mot! All I wanted was to get my car back from them so paid what they said I owed and insisted on this even though they said it wasn’t safe to drive. The car had been taken 14 miles away so I did feel a little panicked. Since this experience I have enlisted help from my family who took the car to their own trusted garage and of course got the jobs listed done at a fraction of the cost and a Mot pass certificate issued. What a lesson, after 49 years of driving! It’s taught me you are never too old to learn. Please avoid these sharks at all costs, what initially may seem a bargain could cost you very dearly.

Absolute rip off, was given a price for a service on a one year old car. Just got a bill through for an extra Ā£162 for a lifetime engine flush… WHY ??? It’s a year old, was told if there was anything needed doing they would call, they did but only said about an oil change. STAY AWAY FROM THESE THIEVES ! Also, they make you give them a review before your even able to see what you owe, so any reviews you see on their site are pretty much non existent as people have to press something !!! Again, these guys are a SCAM …. AVOID at all costs. In future I’ll be going directly to Prestige Car Servicing in Chadwell Heath !!

Absolutely no communication, car not delivered back same day as promised (if I had a pound for every review mentioning that). Ridiculous 'extras' that always originate from Service Stop and has nothing to do with the independent garages that are ordered to carry them out. Utterly shocking and appalling behaviour.

I had my car serviced on 11/11. To be told that extra engine flush and brake fluid change needed and Ā£598 required before car released. I felt very pressurised to agree. Car kept overnight at garage for am work. Changed my mind and tried cancel works, tried ringing at 0800 to find lines don’t open till 0900 ( not on web site) told work had started at 0730 so had to pay so car could be released. Spoke with garage hadn’t opened until 0900 and no work was being done on my car. Blatant lie from this company. Checked with garage if they had recommended extra work they said no it wasn’t required due to age and condition of my car. When I had blatantly been told that it wasn’t required due required and garage had asked for it. Blatant lies/fraud to get me to pay for things that are not required. Avoid at all costs may be cheap initially but you will be pressured into shelling out money for services not required

We are an independent garage that has carried out work for customers booked through Servicing Stop. We want to share our experience so that customers understand how these bookings work from our side. Servicing Stop often describes their service to customers as a ā€œFull Service.ā€ However, the actual job requested from us is typically an oil and filter change with checks. In one case, a customer told us that Servicing Stop had informed them we advised an urgent brake fluid change and that the car was unsafe to drive. We want to make it clear that no such statement was made by our garage. Our records confirm that we did not advise this, nor did we consider the vehicle unsafe. On another occasion, a customer cancelled their booking directly with Servicing Stop. Despite this, our garage still received the job and attended as scheduled, having already communicated with the customer. When we discovered that the booking had been cancelled and raised a complaint, Servicing Stop cancelled any further jobs with us that day, even though we had already made the effort to attend. This caused unnecessary disruption to our schedule and wasted resources. We have also been informed by customers at drop-off that Servicing Stop charged them additional fees beyond the fixed price we provide. This is frustrating for both the customer and ourselves, as we pride ourselves on transparency and fair pricing. Any extras or surcharges are not set by us — they are added by Servicing Stop, and customers often assume they come from the garage, which is not the case. Another issue we regularly face is the way Servicing Stop books jobs with us. They often call at short notice, usually the day before, and present it as though the garage is doing them a favour by fitting the customer in. In reality, this puts pressure on our scheduling and can cause difficulties in managing our workload. We are also restricted in how we communicate with customers. We are not allowed to contact them directly except for pick-up and drop-off arrangements. However, once the customer has our number and sees our branded uniform, they naturally assume that any charges or advice come from us. This creates confusion and damages the reputation of garages, even though the communication and pricing are controlled entirely by Servicing Stop. Finally, we want to make clear that we only ever carry out exactly the work that has been booked in and at a fixed price (no hidden extras). If further work is required, it would always be rescheduled for another appointment. We do not add jobs or costs without agreement, and we believe this is the fairest and most transparent way to operate. To clarify: our role is limited to carrying out the work requested by Servicing Stop. We do not control how services are described to customers, nor do we add extra charges. Any communication about urgent repairs or additional costs that customers receive from Servicing Stop does not originate from our garage. We believe customers should be aware of this distinction so they can make informed decisions.

I had my car serviced with ā€˜servicing stop’ pretended to be RRG Toyota on the phone. They said they would pick the car up on Monday at 10am and return before 4pm. It didn’t arrive back home until after 8pm and I have now realised they weren’t RRG, in fact they were servicing stop using independent garages. These garages are suppose to be local I have noticed on their website however after reporting this incident, it has been 300 extra miles on before it came home and they had it for 10 hours. Servicing stop won’t tell me who had it, the garage name and what’s been done to it apart from a full service that I was charged 500 approximately for which I was held to ransom for and told they wouldn’t let the car out of the garage until it had an oil change. They are scamming customers, my car was missing and has clocked another 300 miles after it was taken before it was returned. I am concerned more than anything that they have used it for crime and racking up speeding fines. Not a clue what’s been done to it and the lack of detailed report compared to RRG is atrocious. Came back with snotty emails and wouldn’t provide the garage name to ask what had been done to it. Look at the reviews on trust pilot, they unfortunately say the same thing, don’t make the mistake we did and trust someone introducing themselves as RRG Toyota. We are now having it re serviced next Monday with an actual company. Shocking customer service and communication. Dangerous. Do not use.

DO NOT USE. After taking the money for our service and mot the day before they were due to collect then cancelled by text message in the evening after waiting in all day for them to turn up. We were then given another booking date which we did not want and spent a ridiculous amount of time trying to cancel it. You cannot speak to anyone, phone numbers are never available, they don’t reply to emails or texts and you can’t leave messages. If you look on their website the reviews are all 4 or 5 stars which surely must be false. How can a company get away with this it’s disgusting.

They said the charge was for a full service. But my car did not get a full service just oil and filter change. So the price was not cheaper than direct with a garage. I have since found a local garage who will collect my car and return it for no extra charge.

scammers! I have paid for Full service and then just after a person collect my vehicle someone acting very rude from servicing Stop called me to say that I would have to pay for all oils and fluids and it would then cost me £495.00 in additional. when I start questioning why as I have already paid online for a Full service then the response was that I would have to pay for all the oils a Fluids or I would not have my vehicle back.

Terrible experience – avoid at all costs! I’ve just had an awful experience with Servicing Stop, dealing with a staff member named Dean, one of the rudest people I’ve ever spoken to. He completely failed to explain the costs properly. I was told on the initial call that they would not start the work until payment had been made by the payment link sent in the email. When I received the payment link and it was almost Ā£1000, I wanted to query this. I tried to call back several times to confirm the costs, and they did not answer the phone. Eventually Dean called back and said that they had already gone ahead with some of the work on my car with no confirmation or agreement from me. I was later hit with an unexpected bill of over Ā£500 for work I had never authorised. When I questioned this, Dean was dismissive on the phone, even accusing me of being rude simply for trying to get clear answers. Several times, he made sure to mention that they would keep my car unless I paid. He said that he would review the call recording, but when I asked for a copy, he initially refused. Only after I mentioned my right to request any data held on file about me did he reluctantly agree. In the end, I had no choice but to pay just to get my car back. The whole situation was stressful, unprofessional, and completely unfair. I will never use Servicing Stop again, and I strongly advise others to stay well away from this company.

The most horrible experience ever. I got conned into thinking this is a cheap place to get my service done for my IX3. Boy was I wrong, they took my car 9am on 14/10/25 and guaranteed that they would deliver it by 6pm latest on the same day. Lo and behold I get a text message saying they are unable to deliver it. However,I can see the location of my car, as it has a tracker, moving to what seems like someone’s house as they finished there shift. I then get a text that it will delivered between 9-10am the next day (15/10/25).ONCE AGAIN,I did not receive the car and they weren’t picking up my calls. I finally get through to them and they told me that I have to pay them an additional Ā£175 for the brake fluid change which I already paid Ā£122 for when booking. I said no just deliver me my car back and then he said over the phone that I will get my own car by 12pm. I ONCE AGAIN DID NOT GET MY CAR BY THIS TIME. I tried calling and even asked my brother to call but they did not answer any of my calls. Agree about 2 hrs of ringing they answered and the man on the phone was the most rude person I have ever encountered, he practically ended the call on me saying that the car will be delivered by 3pm. At this point I was losing patience and just wanted to turn up to the garage as I have the location and drive it away, however by 3pm I saw that the car had started moving and it eventually got delivered back to me. The service light has gone but on service history it says ā€˜engine oil service’ bear in mind my car Is ELECTRIC. So I don’t even know if they did anything to my car or just took it on some joyrides. They also haven’t sent me the report of which work has been carried out. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE START AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY,I DON’T EVEN UNDERSTAND HOW THEY ARE BUSINESS. Pay a little more and get your work done by a trusted garage please.

@ServicingStop @ServicingStop I did NOT authorise the extra repairs you charged me for. SVC1854495. I was forced to pay to get my car back — completely unacceptable. I’m now pursuing this formally. How many others are being charged for unauthorised work? #CustomerComplaint

Absolute rip off merchants. They charged me 4 times what the garage quoted them, and lied that the work was needed in order to complete the service, which it wasn't. Disgusting. Go directly to a garage. They aren't responding to me now
