19 year old daughters car went into the enfield branch for a service and MOT. 125 dfor the service and 25 for the MOT. Received a call to say the MOT repair work was 2499 pounds! They listed a great long list of items that have nothing to do with an MOT. After numerous phone calls back and forth where they had my daughter in tears due to pressuring her to commit to the 2500, and then hung up on her when she said she wanted to check with her dad. I called them and go the same abusive response. After finally getting through to someone nice, it was confirm that actually the only work needed to pass the MOT was 650 pounds. We agreed and they proceeded. Upon return of the car they left an MOT fail certificate in the car! Upon calling them thy had used the 650 authorised spend (against the MOT repairs) on all the other non required items! This pace is a scam, luckily the phone call was recorded so off to trading standard we go! This was clearly targeted abuse towards a 19 year sold girl who does not understand the mechanics of cars. Incidentally the cost of MOT fix was 250 at a reputable garage.

Booked a full service and paid upfront. No one turned up to pick up the car within the stated time slot. Impossible to contact Servicing Stop by phone as phone set on the loop with message " service stop tried to contact you and will try again soon. No record of any missed calls on my phone. Tried to call 8 times without success. After sending the servicing stop an email informing them that I will initiate a dispute and contact trading standards, money was refunded.

Signed me up to a membership service without my knowledge. £25 a month for nothing. When I emailed them to ask what it was about they didn't even reply to me.

They charge me in total more than 670gdp Which was only changing the brake fluid pollen filter and diagnostic. I didn't pay through it but they have done their job and take my money. I told them I don't want to pay since they did the job before I placed the payment then t They said that they will keep the car until I pay. I will report this to dispute to the police tomorrow with this charge and the service Brake fluid is 50pound in Kiwi just be aware of Double the price.

Took my money quickly enough and then sent me over 20 messages to book a service i had already booked. After the service they tried quite forcefully to make me add extra work that didn't need to be completed. When i told them that i would absolutely not be paying extra, they gave up, continued sending me messages and then took £25 for a premium service i did not sign up to. When i requested a refund, they stated that the T&C's clearly stated that there would be no refund!

Over charged and terrible service. Try to tell you your car needs 1000 pounds of work to keep it safe although it passed its mot. Then 1 month later took 25 pound out of my account for a premium membership that I never signed up for a complete scam Avoid at all costs.

Avoid this company at all costs. They only exist to ramp up costs to the customer. They are impossible to get hold of, have terrible customer service and will cost you double what it normally would. Contact your local garage directly, they will thank you for it and hopefully this terrible company will eventually go under.

Similar experience as previous reviewer. Lots of pressure and scare stories to do unnecessary jobs on what should be a straight forward service so requested the car to be returned. Garage refused to speak to me - told me to go through Servicestop (clearly not the first time he's been caught in this situation) who wouldn't answer phone and the voicemail of the chap who called me was full. To make it worse I saw on my statement that they'd started taking £25 pm for a premium service I'd been misled to agree to somewhere. Currently fighting to get that back

Do not use this company. They operate in a fraudulent way. I booked a service and MOT for a fixed price. I was called at the end of the day with a long list of items that had been undertaken - at no stage had I been called for authorisation. I was put under pressure to pay to ensure my car would be returned same day. When I called the garage to arrange return of the car, they were just starting the list of work I had been told was completed. Servicing Stop had lied and told me the work was completed then called the garage to tell them to do the work. Several items were completely unjustified e.g. engine flush at 15k miles when this wouldn't be needed until at least double the number of miles. Windscreen wipe replacment charged at almost £50. I am trying to get a partial refund but they are ignoring all my messages. Total bill was £700 . Do not use this company - go to the garage directly.

Waiting for refund as I paid upfront booked car in, then they changed my booking to a completely different date absolutely disgusting service and (Do not pay upfront) whatever you do as it's a really a untrustworthy setup, needs a private investigator or Trading Standards to look into these types of business on line as the customer is always right.

This is the letter I have sent servicing stop after blatant rip off and fraud. DVSA and Trading Standards are aware of their practices. I strongly suggest if you have been ripped off by them, that you contact both. They have failed to address my complaint and so I will now proceed with action. Dear Mr. Richmond Following my initial complaint and legal advise, I am writing to formally raise a serious complaint regarding the MOT and service recently carried out on my vehicle using Servicing Stop. The service I received was not only substandard, but also appears to involve fraudulent and spurious practices, and I am therefore seeking immediate action to resolve this matter. Following the MOT which revealed 5 fails, the subsequent "repairs" resulted in my vehicle aggressively rattling from first drive after delivery. I visited a local independent garage for further inspection, only to discover multiple discrepancies and failures to complete the work outlined in the invoice and MOT report. The specific issues are as follows: 1. **Lack of Replacement Parts**: Despite your claims that several parts were replaced, they were clearly not changed. The mechanic at The Garage found that the brake discs and the failed brake caliper were never replaced, as stipulated in the MOT requirements (See photographic evidence) and yet it passed! 2. **Incomplete Repairs**: The anti-roll bar arm was not fitted correctly; although the part was indeed new, it was simply placed and not bolted into place: causing a loud and distinct banging and rattling while driving. The two new tyres fitted have some kind of white substance on them - one does not have a valve cap and both now have damaged hubcaps. (Photo attached) The owner and head mechanic of a local independent garage, (details attached) attests to the following facts: *Both front brake disks are not new and have not been recently replaced. Photo attached. Replacement was recommended. *Front caliper was not new and had not been recently replaced. Replacement recommended *The anti roll arm bar was new, however it had no fitting to keep the new bar in place. Issue resolved by The Garage. For the work outlined in my Servicing Stop invoice, the local garage quoted me under £400 as opposed to your £1700; the mechanic is incredulous at the inflated prices charged for basic work on a vehicle. The mechanics details are attached and he is happy to discuss this matter further with yourselves or authorities. 3**Coercive behaviour**: I was informed that my car was unable to be removed from the garage until the MOT fails were addressed. This included an unwanted and unneccessry brake fluid change and 'special oil'. Although not on the mot fail, the sales representative informed me that despite my declining this service from the outset, it had to be carried out if replacing the caliper: I felt the sales representative used intimidation techniques and up selling in the guise of professional mechanical advice, which was highly misleading. 4. **Fraudulent Behavior**: I believe the work carried out, and the subsequent MOT pass and repairs, have been misrepresented - 3 of the 5 repairs have never been completed, despite my payment and MOT pass certificate. Along with the attached photographic evidence and attested facts from the independent mechanic who inspected the car, it is undeniable that repairs were not completed as claimed. This leads me to believe that your company has intentionally misrepresented the services rendered, which I, and the DVSA, consider fraudulent activity. 5. **Additional Costs**: As a result of these failures, I have incurred additional costs for my time and repairs, including the re-fitting of the anti-roll bar arm, which should have been completed during your service. I have to also replace brake discs and a caliper for my own safety and piece of mind. Given the standard of work evidenced, and the values of your company (where you take advantage of vulnerable customers), I have serious doubts that the service actually took place; or that an oil and filter change occured, nevermind the use of 'special oil'! Given the circumstances, I am requesting the following: - A full refund for the repairs, including the initial £150 paid for the service and fraudulent MOT. - A full explanation of how these discrepancies occurred, and what steps you will take to prevent this from happening in the future. - Compensation for the inconvenience and additional costs incurred due to having to visit a local garage twice to rectify the issues caused by your substandard service - and the repairs necessary for my vehicle to be consistent with my MOT certificate. Please note that this requires prompt resolution, as I will be reporting this matter to the DVSA, Trading Standards and the police: the work carried out on my vehicle appears to involve theft, fraudulent activity and MOT deception. I also have zero hesitation in posting my requests to you on review sites to warn customers that what you actually advertise is very different to what you do. I expect a response within 7 days to discuss how we can resolve this matter. Should you fail to address my concerns promptly and adequately, I will not hesitate to pursue further action.

Terrible Experience - Avoid at All Costs! I booked my 20-year-old Toyota with Servicing Stop, expecting a straightforward service based on their initial quote of £162 Inc MOT. However, I was shocked when I received the final bill of £785 MORE! They added an extra £785 just for replacing the *polyrib belt & *Radiator. Radiator costs under £100 and the belt costs under £50 only. This is completely unacceptable and feels like a blatant rip-off. I would strongly advise anyone considering their services to look elsewhere. This company is not transparent and clearly overcharges its customers. Save yourself the headache and avoid Servicing Stop at all COSTS. I made a major mistake doing my car service with this company. I think it's a SCAM. 👎
