My vehicle collection was suddenly moved to 19/05/2026 at very late notice, despite my MOT already being booked for the following day and my current MOT expiring on Saturday. This left me potentially without a car for several days and unable to work. The biggest issue was the lack of communication and planning. Customers rely on these bookings, especially when MOT expiry dates and work commitments are involved. Being informed so late gave me almost no chance to arrange an alternative. I would not recommend this service if timing and reliability are important to you.

Con merchants , put down Service advisories that are not faults with car , but hidden extras. For example changing the brake fluid 200 pounds , even though the car is 3 years old and it replaced at 2 years old. Lifetime engine flush and fuel treatment 150 pounds. The lifetime means that you have to take it back to them for servicing and they won't charge you 7 pounds for the engine flush and 5 pounds for the fuel treatment (Redex). Fuel treatment can be done by yourself by just adding to your petrol. The engine flush can be had just before an oil change. No explanation of what these extras are for. Avoid like the plague.

Unacceptable for Chris (Servicing Stop sales person) to call me with lies, saying I needed additional work on the car, that my engine light was on (lies), the engine needed carbon draining (false) and I needed to buy speciality oil for the oil change (also false). When I told Chris that I would check this directly with the mechanic he said I shouldn’t do that and it was his job to explain the work needed and how would I like to pay. When I insisted that I was going to call the mechanic, Chris hung up on me. I spoke directly with the mechanics who told me everything Chris had said was false. Expensive and convenient service. I wouldn’t mind if they were offering genuine services, but these salespeople will tell blatant lies to try and get extra money from you. Sad when you think of elderly or inexperienced people would believe their lies and pay hundreds more for unnecessary work.

These reviews have confirmed my suspicions. There are no garages that can carry out pick up/drop back with a full service carried out within the quoted cost, mine being £106;for a FULL service, bearing in mind the garage has a commission deducted. The additional oil charges are stipulated in T&C's and most modern vehicles require synthetic oils which are costly . Yes it is miss leading when initial part of servicing stipulates inclusion of oil change. So many cases of engine flush remains a common practice of high cost extras,as is brake fluids . Within the terms you do not have to authorise any additional costs for parts etc and entitled to your vehicle being returned with the service that you paid for. Established local garages are mostly transparent and happy to show replaced parts and charge reasonable rates. I have a hybrid car which requires computer access to set the brain child which is doubtful that this can be achieved within the paid service fee . There are your car dealerships that quote accurately and yes more costly than local garages but protect your warranty. Being fair ,there are garages that fall within warranty conditions and they will clarify this. This company states that you can cancel subscription or you will be charged . As a former owner of 3 garages I find that it is disgraceful how this company continues to operate. Clever marketing drawing consumers into low prices and the small print covering many extras and charges. Trading standards have extensive powers to challenge this company but remains complex when your vehicle is passed on to a third party, yet it is possible. Paying by credit card usually covers protection (transactions over £100) and should fall within your terms. Also ,you can request a payment reversal from your provider. Be wise, J

Absolute scam. First of all Servicing Stop DO NOT do any work on your car, they are a go between, other Garages pay them a percentage for the work they do, if I had known this I would have taken it to a local garage. I booked a Service and MOT, £180 with Pick Up, got a phone call from Servicing Stop that it would be an extra £30 because my car needed special oil, paid that so that comes to £210, then had another phone call that to pass the MOT it would cost just over £800, told me the two parts I needed were over £250 each ( some kind of bushes) While I was on the phone to him I looked up the parts which were £70 each, I told him this, he then stuttered a bit, I told him I would buy the parts and I would pay the garage to fit them, he told me no this couldn't happen. I then told him to get the garage to drop my car off, he then told me that no this couldn't happen because my car had failed the MOT, took me three phone calls to find out exactly where my car was, picked it up decided to bite the bullet cut my losses and pay for another MOT at my local garage the next day. So glad I did, I had the bushes done......including parts and labour and MOT certificate, cost me £220, not over £800, so Servicing Stop were ready to make £600 profit basically from another garage doing the work, an absolute scam The local garage I took it too have advised me to report it to Trading Standards because he said this is the worst garage scam he has seen in years. Do not use Servicing Stop when AA would have been cheaper.

Absolutely shocking service, charged me for a full service and mot, failed me on surface rust on my discs, then tried to charge me an additional £100 for oil just to be able to drive my car back to me? They have threatened to keep my car until I pay extra for oil that was included in my full service and states online is included. Customer service is terrible, mocked me because it’s an old car, told me the cars unroadworthy but they’re happy to drive it back to me once I pay more money, originally on the same phone call they wanted an extra £440 to repair surface rust on my discs and replace a left rear reverse bulb to retest, also failed me on tyre pressure however the bloke who picked it up on the morning was made aware and he said he would put some air in them before he took off for the garage. This service is scammy and shows it on every level after you part with payment. Hopefully I’ll see the car again, but as for now it’s a hostage at servicing stop.

I’ve recently used service stop they rang me saying my car needed an engine flush & brake fluid being a woman on my own & trusting their judgment i asked them to go ahead so as well as the cost of the service & M.O.T it was over £300 when I’ve looked these costs up I feel I’ve been overcharged. I’ve emailed them but they haven’t replied. Sincerely S Foster

The servicing with SERVICING STOP is a nightmare.. I gave my car for full servicing and they returned it in a faulty condition. There is no physical person to adress only email that also takes ages to reply.

Overcharged me on everything, including an engine flush I didn't need. They charged £600 for a scam. When I got the car back, my engine management light came on. DO NOT USE. They are scammers and clearly do not do anything they put on paperwork, and you get a dodgy car back. Reading these reviews, I'm not the only one this has been done to so not a coincidence. Servicing stop needs to be shut down.

I recently sent my car to Servicingstop for a Full Service. They quickly contacted me to say the car needed urgent, major work, and I ended up paying them £2,591.96. This included £1,725 for a water pump/drive belt and £95 for an "engine oil carbon flush". Almost immediately after getting the car back, the engine started making a terrible noise and threw an engine management light. Despite having just paid them for highly invasive engine work right next to the timing area, they completely refused to take responsibility. Their customer service team told me that their "Full Service" is actually just a "visual inspection" and claimed that my timing chain failing right after their engine flush was just a coincidence. They are happy to take thousands of pounds from you, but the moment their workmanship causes a major fault, they will refuse to fix it and try to charge you even more. I am now having to take this up as a Section 75 legal claim with my bank. Do not trust them with your vehicle.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY !! absolute scammers take your money then tell you, you have to pay an oil surcharge of £40 !!!! Doesn’t a service include an oil change ?? Any service I had before does, then try to charge you for break fluid !! Advertising if you pay in advance £40 off, then try charging you for extras !! Joke!! Then when you don’t pay they threaten not to bring your car back !! Apparently it’s in the very small print that’s hard to find. These are people that just pick your car up and take to various garages to do the service then charge you all the extras to make money !! People have to pay because they have your car !!! If you take it the garage yourself it only costs £160 !! Even the garage said they’re getting loads of complaints, but will still work with this company because they get lots of work !! Please don’t use these people, give your business to Your local garages, so these people don’t continue to rip us off !!!

I have been charged for a service but have been informed by a mechanic that the oil was topped up and a service has not been done. Absolutely disgusting, I cant get through to anyone and like everyone else I got the phone call to pay extra for oil and they also said there was water in the breake fluid. Lucky enough I did not pay the extra to change the break fluid as my car was in the garage yesterday and they said the break fluid was absolutely fine.

Had my car serviced last and then had a call for additional cost for the oil. Which should be included in the service. Paid the additional fees and so how, whilst paying this fee, they signed me up to a service package, which I didn't agree and started taking monthly payments. I will be reporting this to watch dog.

Worst Company ever to my experience. Finally returned the car after 6 calls and after four days, payed extra to release the car although full price paid upfront. Looks like nothing has done not even the tyre presuure warning fixed. Minor service on the stamp but paid for full service pls extra. Addition 220 asked for gear oil and pollen filterchange. Quick fit its 52 for same. No reply to the email compilation, looks like its company wise practice than a single insident. I will complain to bank to recover my money after 30 days.

booked partners car in for service last week, paid the up front £145ish for a full service, car picked up by 3rd party garage no problem, service stop and the infamous agent called Gary, called my partner to say it would be an additional £400 for engine flush, brake fluid etx (which all seem to be added as a standard with most reviews) anyway partner felt she was being pressured into a payment plan, and asked Gary to call me, he did not, took 2 hours to get through on the phone, anyway after explaining to Gary we didnt need any of the extras they are stating he started to become rude and aggresive, (great customer services) I explained outright i would only pay foe the synthetic oil as it ia required, Gary commented you only had a part service anyway and that thwme servixe light would remain on, no Gary i paid for a full service ad they garage will need to fix the issue they may have caused at no cost to me l, Gary then hung thw phone up, complete coward, anyway speaking to the garage it seems that service stop as a standard adds these non essential things, dont be scammed, you do not have to accept the extra charges they are demanding, use your voice and do not be bullied by Gary and the team, raised a complaint and it was a standard response "we're sorry about the service" "Gary will undertake customer service training" "Garys calls will be monitored" Gary has had a lot of complaints it seems but Servixe stop allows him to carry on as he traps people into payment plans, sad and unethical way to run a company

Servicing Stop contracted the service and MOT out to a garage that did not carry out the work in accordance with manufacturers requirements. Cost a fortune with over charging for work. The service stamp in the service book was missing information. The upshot was that the service was not recognised by our dealer/manufacturer and invalidated our warranty! This is despite Servicing Stop claiming on their website that the service carried out by them would meet manufacturer requirements and would not affect your warranty. Unable to get any response from Servicing Stop by phone. Have raised formal complaint to Servicing stop and to our bank as paid via credit card. It is about time this company were taken out of business as they are just scamming people. DO NOT USE!!!!!

I am writing to formally raise a complaint and dispute the charges relating to the recent service and MOT carried out on my vehicle. After paying £167.08 for what I believed was a standard service, I arranged for my car to be collected. At the time of collection, I only asked the driver to check the radiator and possibly flush it. He confirmed he would pass this information to the garage. Later that day, I received a call informing me that my car had failed its MOT and that additional work was required. However, I did not request or authorise any of the extra services that were subsequently carried out. Despite this, I was sent a further bill of £658.47. I find this completely unreasonable, especially considering the value of my car is less than £3,000. I was not properly consulted, nor did I give consent for the additional work listed, including: • Brake fluid renewal (£195.00) • Fuel treatment and engine flush (£150.00) • Other associated charges Furthermore, I was placed on a payment plan with Payment Assist without proper explanation or consent, which I strongly dispute. I have made several attempts to contact your company by phone, but the number provided does not connect to a person and only leads to an automated system. I have also sent emails over the past two months and have received no response. This lack of communication is unacceptable. Additionally, I must raise a serious concern regarding the conduct of the driver who returned my car. His behaviour was unprofessional and unacceptable, as he simply dropped the keys through the window without communication. Given all of the above, I formally request: 1. A full breakdown and justification of all charges 2. Confirmation of any work authorised, with evidence 3. Immediate review and cancellation of any unauthorised charges 4. Clarification regarding the Payment Assist agreement

is totally cheating. There are hiding fees to be forced to be paid . The staff was rude. I won’t use it again. I booked the Full service and MOT for my car a few days ago on Service Stop website . I was in the garage and I have seen the job done. When the garage was reporting my car’s job to Service Stop , I heard every word that the garage staff talked to the Service Stop. My car was in good situation and passed MOT smoothly. However when the staff in Service stop called me they said my car was put extra oil and I must pay for it. I said I booked and paid for Full service , you need to change the oil for my car, that included in the Full Service . The staff said you must pay , otherwise you won’t get your car back. The staff was rude. He said it ( extra payment) is in the term and condition when you book it on the website. So that I have to paid the extra fee to get my car back that day because I need the car back. When I got back to check my booking documents , there were no any word about the extra oil fee the customer needs to pay. Actually when the customers book the service on Service Stop website, they will know all the details for the car as long as the customer put the registration number. According to the car, they charge every customer differently. So that it was cheating and hiding about extra oil fee. After I paid and got my car back, they sent me email said I requested and agreed to pay extra oil. They were telling a lie. The truth is until I called them to request my car back , nobody from Service Stop to ask me about it. They were using different excuse to force me to pay in the email. Horrible experience with Service Stop.
