“I have been a client of Scrivens Opticians in Wimborne for some years, as a result of examination by your optometrist both eyes have now been operated on and cataracts removed ,my right was operated on 22 July2020 with no problems,the second operation for cataract removal on my left eye was on the 1st March 2021,during the period July2020 and February 8th 2021 no operations were scheduled because of Covid.At this time the sight in my left eye was deterioting,I made an appointment with Scrivens to seek advice. I was informed that an option was to have a pair of interim glasses which I collected on the 11 February 2021 and having having paid £339 for my new glasses that are are not fit for purpose.So me 18 days later I received a call from Bournemouth eye hospital asking me to attend for a cataract removal which was duly carried out.it was at the time of collecting my glasses on March 1st 2021informed that as the problem with my right eye had been rectified,and and that my left eye when the cataract was removed,it would just be a case of changing the left lense for a lense post op corrected,and all we would pay for was the changing of the lense if deemed necessary.Today I was informed I would have to pay for both new lenses at a cost of£201.75 for lenses and reglaze,so a total all together including original charge of £339 So total £540 .75 for one pair of glasses,value fo money I don’t think so”

“Very friendly opticians, staff are lovely and make you feel very comfortable, they are very helpful with advice on frames etc and helped me chose my new frames, i was also offered a free hearing test which was an added bonus! Lovely range of frames to chose from and in various price ranges to suit your budget!”

“I decided to take my son to Scrivens because the day before i came, i passed it and i saw old couple came there and they were welcomed very well, the staff were very friendly to them. And my decision was right, we were welcomed the same way. And my son got the best service there. The optometrist Hamza is very professional, he's very patient with my son and explained everything to me and my husband thoroughly. Praising my son with stickers was the sweetest part of his service. The ladies helped my son with choosing the eyeglasses. I called to arrange the next appointment, the lady was so so friendly and helpful. I got a text message as well as a reminder. I didn't regret my decision to go there, compare to the popular optician nearby, Scrivens makes you feel home, they don't just give you a 10 minute service and put you under pressure because of the queue. I highly recommend Scrivens to everyone.”

“I booked an eye test for yesterday, my first with Scrivens & Vijay was so thorough, I’ve never had a test like this before, I would recommend Scrivens 100%. My only criticism is that they gave me a hearing test first, why? If I want a hearing test I’ll see my GP”

“I be with scrivens over 15 year and now it will be my last. As it nearly be over 2 week and I not got my glasses not happy at all”

“Excellent personal service from the lovely ladies at the Salford branch - all very knowledgeable, helpful, reassuring and happy to answer all my questions and explain things in great detail. Whole family have been going here for years, wouldn’t dream of going anywhere else!”

“Eye test seemed fine picked frames varifocils ordered a long wait for delivery when arrived looked perfect I could see perfect but could not read after been re- measured found to be completely different from original measurements another long wait these glasses where not cheap could have got same lenses in 7 days less than half price online”

“I've been to a few different opticians in the past, and I have to say I found Scrivens to be the best. Not pushy in which frames they recommend, it was entirely left to my choice, the optician who tested my eyes explained every procedure she was carrying out, found the whole experience professionable , friendly , laid back and felt at ease, . Very pleased with the frames I chose, although I have yet to collect them , I would recommend Scrivens to friends and family”

“I felt quite anxious at the thought of having my eyes tested but there was no need, I felt very comfortable and the people in Bromyard were very reassuring and helpful. Would thoroughly recommend this optician. Looking forward to collecting my new glasses. Thank you Bromyard.”
