“I make these comments in respect of 2 recent visits to the shop. I found that both the hearing and sight professionals were very good and made me feel at ease. However, whilst there can be no direct criticism being directed at the shop front staff, I found them rather aloof and not really welcoming. In fact on my first visit, I had to stand and wait for a while whilst 2 members of staff finished a conversation.”

“I attended the Chesterfield Branch with my mum Mrs Janet Middleton who is 87 for both hearing and eyesight tests. She was delighted with the professional care she received and the attentive polite and friendly service she was shown from Tracy and Selina with regard to her glasses being chosen and fitted once made. Also she would like to thank the optometrist who examined her eyes and Sarah who did her hearing test. All her visits went smoothly and on time. She would like to pass on her thanks as it meant so much to her the be treated so well and with such care.”

“I’ve been using your branch in Milton Keynes for several years I cannot fault the service it has been brilliant, the staff are very helpful, one member I think her name is Aktar (not sure if spelling either) remembers me from one year to the next and is always very pleasant and friendly. My only negative would be that I don’t see the same optician each time, but they have all been good”

“Amazing service from everyone. Sue john and taiba were friendly and very welcoming. Hanna was very thorough and explained everything very well. Overall great and a very welcoming and friendly atmosphere would definitely return and recommend to friends and family.”

“I always receive good service and a friendly welcome at Scrivens. I have got to know them well over the time I have been going there and was happy to send my Swiss friend to them when she was over here staying with me. She was delighted with her glasses. I look forward to getting my new pairs soon for driving and for reading. Natalia.”

“I had a good experience. First, I had a glaucome test offer regarding my family history. I was not aware that I can have it done. Then I had time to try many pair of glasses, advice before making my choice. Finally, 3 days later, my glasses were ready.”

“I have been a client of Scrivens Opticians in Wimborne for some years, as a result of examination by your optometrist both eyes have now been operated on and cataracts removed ,my right was operated on 22 July2020 with no problems,the second operation for cataract removal on my left eye was on the 1st March 2021,during the period July2020 and February 8th 2021 no operations were scheduled because of Covid.At this time the sight in my left eye was deterioting,I made an appointment with Scrivens to seek advice. I was informed that an option was to have a pair of interim glasses which I collected on the 11 February 2021 and having having paid £339 for my new glasses that are are not fit for purpose.So me 18 days later I received a call from Bournemouth eye hospital asking me to attend for a cataract removal which was duly carried out.it was at the time of collecting my glasses on March 1st 2021informed that as the problem with my right eye had been rectified,and and that my left eye when the cataract was removed,it would just be a case of changing the left lense for a lense post op corrected,and all we would pay for was the changing of the lense if deemed necessary.Today I was informed I would have to pay for both new lenses at a cost of£201.75 for lenses and reglaze,so a total all together including original charge of £339 So total £540 .75 for one pair of glasses,value fo money I don’t think so”

“Very friendly opticians, staff are lovely and make you feel very comfortable, they are very helpful with advice on frames etc and helped me chose my new frames, i was also offered a free hearing test which was an added bonus! Lovely range of frames to chose from and in various price ranges to suit your budget!”

“I decided to take my son to Scrivens because the day before i came, i passed it and i saw old couple came there and they were welcomed very well, the staff were very friendly to them. And my decision was right, we were welcomed the same way. And my son got the best service there. The optometrist Hamza is very professional, he's very patient with my son and explained everything to me and my husband thoroughly. Praising my son with stickers was the sweetest part of his service. The ladies helped my son with choosing the eyeglasses. I called to arrange the next appointment, the lady was so so friendly and helpful. I got a text message as well as a reminder. I didn't regret my decision to go there, compare to the popular optician nearby, Scrivens makes you feel home, they don't just give you a 10 minute service and put you under pressure because of the queue. I highly recommend Scrivens to everyone.”
