“This was a superb check up the audiologist Ellie was so nice and explained everything clearly and in a friendly way, to my wife such a pleasant change from the way the previous Man who on coming into the shop first thing stated I'm too old for this now and was grumpy and hardly spoke and then announced his machine had broken down and he couldn't do the check, But now I'm pleased to say Scrivens is back to being the very best, and all the staff are superb well-done everyone.”

“I made a mistake when choosing my new frames and picked ones that were just really the wrong shape for my face I was invited back to the shop in Thirsk and got to choose something more suitable, these were then rapidly remade and presented to me at no additional cost ! Absolute professionalism throughout and I could not be happier with the service I received or with my new glasses ! Thank you so much ! .......... 🤓”

“Not happy. Appointments were running 20 to 30 minutes behind scheduled times & just advised to go shopping around Newark. In future you should try phoning your customers to let them know that you are running late, or remove the appointments from your online availability. I will be using a different opticians.”

“Always outstanding service from this branch. Happy to help and not rush you out of the store. The staff understand my needs. The store could do with stocking some more designer frames eg Tom Ford frames and possible more designer sunglasses as I always purchase these elsewhere.”
