“Scrivens have been amazing have gone over and and above call of duty. Had heath problem recently which caused vision problems. They sorted my glasses out for me replaced them and at no charge. Well done and thank You Scrivens Chesterfield.”

“Looked after like I was a only customer , potential problem found I was ask if I would be happy to be referred to see a specialist , true to there word I received oppointment a week later . Thank you for your caring service . I now would not go any where else .”

“Excellent customer service very polite and professional and the tests where fantastic very thorough and explained everything to myself afterwards Would recommendation to everyone and already have recommended people. Excellent/outstanding and Thankyou are the words I use for Scrivens of Finchley”

“Being able to book an appointment online was very convenient. The staff at the Didcot branch are always helpful, friendly and professional. As I needed both a reading and a long distance prescription this time, I was offered the option of trying varifocal lenses. I was given a clear explanation of how varifocal lenses work, the advantages and the possible challenge of getting accustomed to them. I was told that I could order a pair and if I could not get on with them I could return them and have two separate pairs of glasses made. Unfortunately I found varifocals did not suit me. I could not get used to having to turn my head to read and found the restricted field of vision made driving very difficult. I had developed a sharp pain in my left eye whilst wearing them. So I returned to the branch where I had a discussion with a member of staff, where I was given the option of persevering a little longer or having the varifocal glasses replaced by two separate pairs. I took the second option. I was very surprised that this did not involve extra payment, especially as I had opted for the Nikon varifocal lenses which had been more expensive. The two new pairs of glasses arrived within a week of being ordered.”

“Very happy with my visit. The young man who tested my eyes did a very good job, he took his time and did not press me to purchase new glasses. I am pleased with the new reading glasses I did purchase although rather expensive considering I supplied my own frames. Overall I was pleased with my visit and the kindness of all the staff who made me feel welcome, Thank you. Maureen Hunt”

“Last year I didn't need to change,but I forced the "tester" to sell me a pair of glasses specifically to watch football- they worked well. This year, I did need to change and was very pleased with the service, quality,and delivery time, although I did find the price to be high. I will be more assertive next year,”

“My wife and I have worn spectacles for years. Over that time we have used several other opticians for both eye tests and glasses. But in recent years, as we have become more acquainted with Scrivens, we have come to appreciate their very high levels of customer service. And wherever we might look now, we invariably end up back at Scrivens, and highly satisfied with the whole experience.”

“Didn't catch the Chesterfield branch on a good day. It was their first day of 'going digital' and I was their first customer and there were one or two operational teething troubles. However, the professionalism of the staff shone through and the outcome was a good one as fare as I am concerned.”

“A very well organised appointments system. Competent and friendly staff keeping you well informed throughout the process. One small suggestion for clients opting to purchase new glasses. Although the prices of frames are displayed it would be a good idea to check what the total final bottom line cost for the new pair will be before you progress too far down the purchase route - it can be surprising.”

“Whilst being eternally grateful to the actual opterimist who carried out my sight test and in so doing noticed that I had a detached retina, which resulted in my needing two operations, thus saving my sight, I was disappointed that Scrivens refused to fit my prescribed lenses into a favourite old pair of frames that I had, resulting in my having to chose an inferior set of frames at a cost of nearly £100.00. I went on to purchase a much better quality pair of glasses on-line at a cost of only £35.00”

“What excellent customer service from start to finish. my telephone enquiry wasn’t straight forward and was dealt with so helpfully. The welcome when I came for my eye test was very friendly. The eye test was very thorough and everything explained. Then help with choosing my glasses was done patiently. All the staff were exceptionally professional, friendly and caring - well done Scrivens. I will also be bringing my son here for his annual check from now on too”

“When I visited the Diss branch my specs frame was broken across the bridge. Narrow frames - not the current fashion so was not confident my lenses could be transferred to replacement frames. But within 20 mins I left the branch with replacement specs that really suited me, using my ‘old’ lenses. Had not wanted to pay much for replacement as I am likely to need specs for only one more year. £20 total cost. I was delighted. Thank you!”
