“I was more than happy with the service I received. I was not looking forward to buying a new pair of glasses but Clare was able to assist from start to finish exuding confidence which helped me no end. Thanks”

“This is the first time I have used Scrivens and from the day I made an appointment to have an eye test, through to collecting my glasses, I found the Optician and the assistants in the shop, all very polite, helpful and very friendly. Thank you to all the team at Scrisons for such good service.”

“I visited my local branch at Hythe and I was very happy with the friendly atmosphere and excellent service I received ~ I am delighted with my new glasses and cannot praise enough the excellent staff and advice I received ~ I love my new frames a big thank you to everyone ~”

“Firstly, full credit to the front of house girls in the opticians in Hythe and on the telephone - they are very informative, extremely friendly and welcoming. They are a credit to Scrivens and are not deserving of the one star presented here. However, when it came to the optometrist himself, the particular gentleman on duty today needs quite some work on his customer service. If you like being talked to with seeming contempt, in a condescending manner, barely looked at and most definitely not smiled at then he is your man. From the time I stepped into his room, he was unfriendly, unwelcoming and it in the brief time I unfortunately had to spend with this person it felt like I was troubling his otherwise busy schedule. Perhaps he was having a bad day, however, the disdainful manner with which this gentleman presented himself was appalling, so much so that I ended up walking out of the exam before it had even started, something I have never done in 20 years of optician appointments! Additional note - there was going to be an extra payment for a form I needed to get filled out, however this was only a small charge and I would have readily paid this had the optometrist had any iota of customer service skills.”

“I cannot thank all the staff enough for the care and attention they give to my wife and I . My wife has Alzheimer's disease which means she needs a great deal of help In all circumstances .”

“I love my new glasses! I've been with Scrivens for many years, and have always received excellent service and care. The staff are lovely to deal with, and the eye tests are thorough. When it comes to choosing the style of new glasses, Scrivens' staff are endlessly patient with me, kind, and always willing to give advice on what suits. Each time over the years when I've been deliberating over choosing a new pair, I've appreciated the help and advice received, and have been happy with the end result each and every time. Thanks to a large selection to choose from in an unpressured environment, all of the above and more are what keep me loyally returning time after time, year after year.”

“I had a ver unpleasant experience with Scrivens in the last 2 months . They threatened to dismantle my glasses and keep my £191.00 which was 50% of the cost of the glasses. I had no idea why they send me theses threatening letters I have been a customer for several years and never owe them a penny I also have my less plan with them and they take the payment from my account without fail every month. I don’t trust their service anymore and I am still waiting a response from them on the matter. Will not be using them again.”
