“Hi, I was referred by my doctor to Scrivens Opticians. I saw a lovely man called Sully. He put me at ease straight away. My test showed I needed hearing aids for both ears. Sully shown me the ones available. I wanted the button type so no one would see them. Sully explained that they wasn't suitable for my loss of hearing. He shown me the range that were suitable and said to try them on because they really cant be seen. I did and was really surprised to say that I couldn't see them. Sully ordered the ones most suitable, assuring me all the way. The night before going for them I was really upset, hearing aids ! I feel so old ! When I saw Sully he was so lovely. He explained everything again and I put them on. I can honestly say, they are so comfortable and they couldn't be seen, I looked side on to make sure and they couldn't ! More to the point I can hear ! After my 3rd visit I am up and running! I forget I have them on, I even went in the shower with them on ! I forgot...no problem though they are waterproof. They are brilliant and so is Sully. A lovely genuine, trustworthy person. All the staff at the store made me feel so welcome and also gave me information to help my dry eyes. I will be going back for my eyeglasses as well as my hearing aids! The back up customer services is wonderful, 2nd to none. And...my hearing aids don't make me feel old! Because...I can hear properly now! Thank you ever so much.”

“I can only go by the experience i had at Horsforth branch... All the staff were helpful & professional... The customer care was excellent & were able to answer my questions (though some required answers from other parties)...”

“Visited the Sherborne Dorset branch to discuss failed and inadequate frames on my Easy Reader glasses, purchased from this branch 15months previously. The branch were not interested, hiding behind the 12 month warranty. Contacted customer services and received a sympathetic reply but no suggestion that they would help with a repair let alone consider that they had supplied frames not fit for purpose. The upshot of all this is that I have spent £400 on a pair of glasses that I can't wear. Poor service and customer care. Will not recommend Scrivens.”

“We Visited Scrivens Opticians approx two weeks ago, we required up to date eye testing, whilst there we had Ear Testing as well. We Pre Booked and we're seen Promptly on arrival, by Professional Staff, Polite, and Personable. When we had the testing, the trend continued, and aided an enjoyable visit. Thank you All staff.”

“Visited the Maidenhead branch for hearing issues today. I am very impressed with the whole experience. The audiologist was very thorough and patient, anticipating all the issues that I am likely to encounter. In fact, the whole atmosphere of Scrivens is so much calmer than the other places I had visited. I like it so much that I have switched my eye care from another another company and have booked my eyesight testing with them too.”

“My wife suggested he I should change my Opticians. A wise choice as I have both hearing aids and glasses. A year ago I had a problem with my eyesight and Haneen at the Ashton in Makerfield branch very quickly got an appointment with the eye Hospital to resolve my cataract problem. This year after a very thorough eye test Haneen suggested new glasses which has kept my eyes in top condition. It is impossible also not to mention the excellent service I have received for my hearing aids. All the staff at the branch are very professional and will always help. I always recommend them.”

“Absolutely excellent service from my Peacehaven branch of Scrivens. Following several disappointing, frustrating and mostly unsatisfactory appointments at some other opticians in the area, I decided to return to Scrivens, having been a previous customer some years earlier. I want to praise each and every one of the superb staff members in the branch for their professionalism and for taking the time to answer any questions I had. Every staff member was approachable and friendly, and I did not feel as if I was being “rushed through” the process. My sincere thanks and appreciation go to every member of staff at Scrivens in Peacehaven for an outstanding and highly professional service … very well done to everyone!”

“I had problems with my nhs hearing aids. and went directly to the shop without warning.The staff involved Mark and Ash (the audiologist) were extremely helpful in organising the repairs that were needed and kept me fully informed of the progress. The service they provided was first class in all respects”

“Visited Ripley branch this morning and was helped to choose new frames by Lizzie, who was very helpful and patient. I always find it difficult to find new, different frames so found it a great help on this occasion. All the staff at Scrivens are great and Nikki has been there for a long time and is always helpful.”
