“Both my husband and I went for an eyesight test and also had the hearing test while there. A lovely atmosphere in the shop, very welcoming. We were put at our ease. Nothing was too much trouble and the emphasis was on providing us with what we wanted as individuals. Very thorough optician ensuring our eyesight health was spot on. I would have no hesitation in recommending the services here.”

“After having an eye examination the optician said that there was a dramatically difference in the new eye exam . Feeling very unsettled I went for a second opinion plus extra exam of the optic nerve this test was negative plus no change on my prescription . On phoning the branch at Ashby I asked for an email! Nothing . To ask who I speak to . Very upsetting experience. I shall contact the opticians on Tuesday 2nd September. I've had a 2nd opinion.”

“The whole experience at the New Milton branch was amazing. The staff were very knowledgeable, helpful and patient. Really good old fashioned service. It's so good to be hear now and not have to sit in near silence watching TV with subtitles.”

“I popped into my local Scrivens in Tilehurst yesterday, as my glasses kept slipping down slightly. I spoke with Ella and she was amazing, so friendly and offered to have a look at them for me. Ella changed the rubbers for me, check everything fitted correctly and gave my glasses a good clean. So nice that real customer service does still exist.”

“Hi, I was referred by my doctor to Scrivens Opticians. I saw a lovely man called Sully. He put me at ease straight away. My test showed I needed hearing aids for both ears. Sully shown me the ones available. I wanted the button type so no one would see them. Sully explained that they wasn't suitable for my loss of hearing. He shown me the range that were suitable and said to try them on because they really cant be seen. I did and was really surprised to say that I couldn't see them. Sully ordered the ones most suitable, assuring me all the way. The night before going for them I was really upset, hearing aids ! I feel so old ! When I saw Sully he was so lovely. He explained everything again and I put them on. I can honestly say, they are so comfortable and they couldn't be seen, I looked side on to make sure and they couldn't ! More to the point I can hear ! After my 3rd visit I am up and running! I forget I have them on, I even went in the shower with them on ! I forgot...no problem though they are waterproof. They are brilliant and so is Sully. A lovely genuine, trustworthy person. All the staff at the store made me feel so welcome and also gave me information to help my dry eyes. I will be going back for my eyeglasses as well as my hearing aids! The back up customer services is wonderful, 2nd to none. And...my hearing aids don't make me feel old! Because...I can hear properly now! Thank you ever so much.”

“I can only go by the experience i had at Horsforth branch... All the staff were helpful & professional... The customer care was excellent & were able to answer my questions (though some required answers from other parties)...”

“Visited the Sherborne Dorset branch to discuss failed and inadequate frames on my Easy Reader glasses, purchased from this branch 15months previously. The branch were not interested, hiding behind the 12 month warranty. Contacted customer services and received a sympathetic reply but no suggestion that they would help with a repair let alone consider that they had supplied frames not fit for purpose. The upshot of all this is that I have spent £400 on a pair of glasses that I can't wear. Poor service and customer care. Will not recommend Scrivens.”

“We Visited Scrivens Opticians approx two weeks ago, we required up to date eye testing, whilst there we had Ear Testing as well. We Pre Booked and we're seen Promptly on arrival, by Professional Staff, Polite, and Personable. When we had the testing, the trend continued, and aided an enjoyable visit. Thank you All staff.”
