“I was really delighted with my recent purchase of glasses at Scrivens in Shirley. Parveen went to so much trouble to make sure that my favourite frames could be re-glazed and your technician did a superb job! I will certainly recommend this practice to everyone!”

“First class, friendly, very efficient service from all the staff in the Chesterfield branch; I cannot fault them in any way. I had an existing frame re-glazed and it was well worth it after another optician repeatedly failed to get the lenses right. From now on I'll be using Scrivens every time. I also had my hearing checked and, as I expected, there was some age related high-frequency hearing loss (I'm 69) but nothing to be concerned about. Scrivens also look after my partner's contact lenses and she too has nothing but praise for them.”

“The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable and took great care to explain and ensure I got a great pair of glasses. I’d highly recommend Scrivens having used other high street retailers in the past. Thank you Scrivens in Ringwood!”

“I made appointment in store. The Lady told me £15 for eye test, then I can get free 5 pairs of contacts lens trials to try which is best for me, then I can order contacts lens by store. Then I see the scrivens official web Only £10 for eye test. Then I went to store, they told me I can’t get 5 pair of contacts lens trials, and I need to book other appointments for £25 contacts lens fitting. I can understand £25 contacts lens fitting, but I can’t understand why the lady told me like that!!”

“Wrong lenses ordered, pretty vital when ordering glasses. You'd have thought I'd have got a free box of lens wipes or something considering the price of the frames.”

“I have been a customer of Scrivens Opticians & Hearing Care and their predecessors (Melson Wingate) for more than thirty five years and have always had excellent and personal service from them. I use both their contact lens and their spectacle range and am happy with both. I can recommend them without reservation.”

“made two separate appointments of which both were cancelled only ten and twenty minutes prior to my appointment even though I checked the day before that the optician would be in complete waste of my time”
