“Scrivens MILL HILL Excellent They do a lot of work for the NHS and the service was both professional and kind. The premises are clean and well kept. I'm glad I pooped in and thank all the staff that I met for a kind and professional service.”

“the branch we used in Peacehaven the staff were very good and friendly but thats the best it got me and my wife ordered glasses and cos over £1000 for each pair and they are rubbish the clear vision doesn't go to the end of the lens so when driving they are far to dangerous to wear as when you mvoe your head the blurriness on the edges blocks out more as you move your head to make it even worse i couldn't find my prescription so requested a copy by email I didn't hear anything for a few months so i resent my email to be told sending my eye prescription was a security risk!!!!! never ever have I heard so much rubbish in all my life i contacted head office who eventually said they'd send it to me but at my risk!!! I'd stay well away from this company and use someone else”

“I can NOT recommend Scrivens in Cheadle Staffs or the customer services. Terrible experience, bad service, I was never given my prescription, my glasses were uncomfortable, they tried to alter yet couldnt and didn’t want to know or help. Took a month to sort out. Don’t waste your time or money on this company.”

“I took my elderly mother to the Fishponds branch in Bristol to have wax removed from both her ears. We met Michael who was incredibly professional, kind and patient with her. The whole process only took about 20 mins . The results were amazing. Thank you very much.”

“I was seen at Waterloo Rd Blackpool by a young lady called Assia who was very pleasant, quick and efficient. She did my hearing test, explained the ins and outs very well and sorted me out with some new improved NHS hearing aids in under an hour. She's definitely a keeper Scrivens, so hang on to her!”

“I had a hearing test in March 2024 and advised to get wax removed, contacted GP who put me on list and eventually had wax removed 25-6-24. I rang local branch and advised that they would have to get head office approval, since then so I guess Head office have not approved it. Robby in Peacehaven”

“So I pay £18 a month to lens plan. When I lost a lens they say I’m not covered and need to pay £55 ? But the documents state free lens replacement? Talk about a dodgy contract. People be carful with this company. I’m looking round to go elsewhere.”

“I went into the Stapleford, Nottingham branch and I feel I must say this. The treatment I received was second to none. The two young ladies, Jean and Daniela put me at ease. There professionalism is to be commended. It was not what they did but how they did it. I will definitely always be a scrivens customer from now on. Simple a pleasure going in there”

“The employees are really friendly and very helpful. Was provided with a lot of assistance when choosing my first set of prescription glasses. However, the frame prices are a lot more expensive than you will find anywhere else (purchased a pair of Oakley frames that were £114 cheaper than Scrivens!!!) and as a result of this, I didn't make a complete purchase, but will be taking the frames in for lens fitting.”

“I've recently moved to Bourne and was looking for a good opticians to get my eyes tested . I'm so pleased I chose Scrivens. All staff are very friendly and the service I have received so far has been excellent ! The lady helped me choose the right glasses that suit me. It's difficult when you are on your own and can't see without them , so her recommendation was spot on ! Thank you ! I also wished to try contact lenses and the time taken to try and get me the correct ones that suit me has been very impressive. Didn't feel rushed and care was taken to make sure that everything felt right. All options are tried & tested. Communication from the staff is also spot on with telephone calls & messages to confirm appointments etc ... I can't fault them and would recommend anyone to go for a good professional service.”

“The Gosport Branch were extremely helpful. BUT Head Office was NOT. I was referred 15/12/2023. Was told to contact if I had not heard by 8.2.24. ‘Phoned 9.2.24, told was not on waiting list. Was assured that I would be on next waiting list on 11 May and would be contacted. I was not. Rang again. Was assured the Branch would be contacted that day. I visited Gosport Branch same day and they kindly booked me in a private slot on 21 May for NHS appt. Head Office had not contacted them. The Branch were brilliant and sympathetic and said they were always having this problem with Head Office and that they would contact them. Hence my 3 star rating which you will probably ignore and not publish.”
