“I was fortunate to be referred to Amanda Hume at Scrivens hearing in Horsham, west sussex, to be fitted with hearing aids after having one sided deafness for many years.I am so pleased with the results which has enabled me to enjoy sounds in minute detail, something I realise I have missed out on!!!. Many thanks and praise to her professional advice, and also to my.. GP at Courtyard Surgery for his referral. My hearing aids link together so that it feels like I have hearing in both ears, so wonderful technology, very discreet aids, and easy to use. Thank you NHS again for a service that enhances lifestyle choices.”

“Today 22.6.24 I must praise Abby for her care, knowledge and professionalism with fitting my hearing aid. She put my mind at ease with all my hearing queries, she will be top of her field in time to come, thankyou oh, hope your bruised finger ok. Mr Roger Glee”

“Perfectly happy with my hearing aids thank you. But ? Why have I been sent a letter on 19th June 2024 asking me to complete a questionnaire (which I’ve done again) when back on 29th May 2024 I was sent the same letter with the same unique ID 219269 and complete the same questionnaire and sent on the 7th June 2024 ? ?”

“Trying to complain is a. Nightmare !!!! My 82 mother has been charged £ 82 pounds for reading glasses that she could get for £ z5.00 from a supermarket”

“Had an appointment today for an eye test at the Plumstead Rd Norwich branch. Customer service excellent especially as I had a problem with my eyes which was sorted on the day very swiftly and efficiently. Would especially like to mention the optometrist Tom who was very professional and knowledgeable. .”

“Scrivens :- A first class service with the provision of a professional consultation conducted by a knowledgeable, experienced and very presentable representative. The new hearing aids are up a level from what I previously had, as explained to me when being examined. I am extremely pleased with the improvement and thankful for the service. I highly recommend Scrivens Hearing Care.”

“My previous hearing aids were supplied and fitted by the NHS hospital. I expected these to be similar in performance, and asked in particular whether they would connect to my phone as I need this for work. I was told that I could connect them to my phone so thought fine. When I got home I found that I could adjust the aids by my phone, but couldn't listen to calls.This is essential for me yet it was only after phone calls and two repeat visits to Scrivens that I was told that this was not possible with these hearing aids. I tried desperately for help but none was forthcoming over the next two and a half months, making repeated phone calls, and being promised return calls which never happened. I think this is absolutely disgraceful service, the only answer for me is either to go private and buy hearing aids like I previously had, or buy a ' phone clip' which they say will allow me to hear phone calls. This is not cheap, and despite my request, no discount was offered.”

“At a recent routine eye check up your Optometrist identified an abnormality beyond the ‘normal’ sight testing. He then undertook a series of extra tests and his diagnosis revealed a problem requiring more specialist equipment (an OTC scanner). As a result I was referred to my local hospital eye clinic as an urgent case. At all stages your Optometrist (Mohammed Suhayl) fully and clearly explained the implications of his findings which I found very reassuring. I was called for additional examinations by a NHS Eye Specialist within 4 days and ultimately given the all clear in respect of further treatment. The care, attention to detail and internal procedures by Scrivens in enabling such a prompt follow up was exemplary. The whole process demonstrates the need for regular eye tests and naturally I recommend Scrivens for the services they provide.”

“In this age of dubious service and uncertain reliability of companies, I am delighted with the friendly and helpful service provided to me this afternoon by the manager; Connor Walker. Despite the fact that here was no profit or gain to the Scrivens branch - I was given free advice and reassurance that my difficulty with my old Hearing Aid would be dealt with. Young Connor deserves praise for the willing helpfulness. It is appreciated and gives me confidence. Pete McAleer”

“Very disappointed with the audiology service provided at your Heanor branch. You have failed to deliver your contracted NHS service. Terrible aftercare and a product that is not working but you will not address this. Staff shouting at an elderly customer in store is not acceptable. I’d suggest others find an alternative provider”
