“My husband was a client of Scrivens when he lived in London and when he moved to Norfolk he became a client of Scrivens, based in Fakenham. My husband has always been happy with the level of care and service at Scrivens and I became a client of theirs approximately 2 years ago. I too have been extremely happy with the service, the staff have always been friendly, polite and helpful. Scrivens have an excellent range of frames and the prices are very competitive too. I would and have recommended Scrivens to friends.”

“Been with Scrivens a long time now, always had friendly happy staff and made me feel comfortable. The choice of glasses are really good and not too expensive. My children now use scrivens too as they have been coming since they were little.”

“The staff in this branch were friendly and welcoming from the moment I arrived. I was served by a lovely lady named Claire who explained all my options to me and helped me choose my glasses. I am very happy with my pwrchase and the excellent service I received from start to finish. I shall be recommending Scrivens and the bishop Auckland branch to all my friends and family.”

“Having used other opticians because at the time they had frames I wanted, I have always gone back to Scrivens. Somehow the optician seems more thorough and certainly the follow up service, for example altering the fit of a new pair of glasses are the best out there. I now go there first.”

“Very friendly staff all explained to me well and great help and advice when choosing my frames . Also was not put under any pressure at all to pay for extras glasses were also a lot cheaper than expected . Eye test very thorough was explained to me well”

“Everything went very smoothly. I was told my glasses would take 7-10 days. That was on a Thursday. I received them on the following Tuesday. Excellent care”

“Optician service fully satisfactory. Hearing test is poor - in that no effort is made to find out if the customer might have wax in their ears, so inhibiting hearing. Hard to take Scrivens seriously on hearing.”

“A mix of very good eye test/optician, and poor ‘’front of house’’ service [including calling me in to collect my spectacles when only one of the two pairs were available —inspite of explicit request to the contrary] -and the usual, completely unfeeling and completely un-meant ‘’I can only apologise—it must have been a computer glitch......’’”
