I enjoyed the service rendered at Scrivens for my eye test. It was awesome, I also had a free hearing test that day. Also I was given massive discount.

Great service from the Winton branch of Scrivens - Daniel was courteous, knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Not only did I get my new glasses, which are perfect, I got a great clean up of the old ones too! Strongly recommend them.

I have booked an eye appointment for Tuesday 22nd Apl for an eye examination at 11.45 am at your premises in 55 High Street Rushden NN10 0QE. I would pleased to receive your report about my eyesight as I have booked a meeting with my own GP in Rushden based in Adnitt Road Surgery and very much hope he will be able to arrange for me to contact the DVLA to hopefully enable me to pass my next driving test. I past my first test when I was about 20 years old and took great care when I drove and was skillful enough to avoid any accidents, thankfully ! My name is Michael Tye

I am 82 yrs of age and I lost my NHS hearing aids and was told it would cost £75 each to replace and I can’t afford that. Even If I was able to claim on the house insurance then that would put my next policy right up. So I manage with out them.

I wrote a review about a week ago. I was told to take it up with customer services which is a complete waste of time. Been in touch with them twice with no success. I still have a pair of driving glasses which I paid £258 and are absolutely no use to me. I would never use them again and certainly not recommend them to anyone. Please read my previous review.

Moved into Norwich last year. Both my wife and I have had excellent personal service from Shaun and the team at Upper St Giles St for our eye tests, glasses and contact lenses. The communication, welcome and service have been impeccable. On Monday I had an audiology appointment with Meghan. She was fantastic. I have the standard NHS hearing aids yet she spent over an hour with me, carrying out tests and re-setting up the aids. What a difference! Thank you to her and to all the team

Last minute appt at Rotherham branch today needed glasses sorting as soon as possible excellent service and really friendly atmosphere optician Robert was fab really chatty knowledgeable guy

I recently phoned the customer care number to order more batteries for my hearing aids. An envelope with 2 battery packs arrived a few days later. Enclosed with the batteries, was a notice that stated people can no longer order over the phone, but either call into local branch, or fill in an online order form. This is the best option for me, as I have no transport. After going on the website given, rhere is no such order form listed ! After getting back to the normal number, I was told to use the number which I have always used !! Total waste of a Monday morning !! It sounds like someone is leaping before learning to jump ……….

Had a hearing test via Spa Medical centre which led to a referral letter from the hospital stating that I needed 2 hearing aids. Tried to book appointment via scrivens at Spa medical but was told that I needed a referral from my GP. Gp had already done the referral hence the hearing test. The gentleman on the phone refused to make the appointment without yet another referral. Went to specsavers who was another provider on the list and appointment booked for fitting with no issues at all. Advert says it all, should have gone to specsavers first

Not very happy with the service, cannot get a follow up and unable to use hearing aids. Tried to get an appointment three weeks ago to no avail. Still waiting.

I am very happy with the service I receive at the Sutton Coldfield branch. The contact lens lady is always very good and couldn’t be more helpful. My gas permeable lens was uncomfortable so I had the fit adjusted and also given a two week trial with a soft lens to see if it would suit me better. I also purchased new glasses and Maxine who dealt with me was really helpful and went through all the different options with regard to which frames would suit me best. Would highly recommended Scrivens for either contact lenses or glasses.

I recently attended your branch at 87 Upper St Giles Street, Norwich, Norfolk, NR2 1AB after having problems with my NHS Hearing Aids. I found that even with the volume on full I was constantly having to say “Excuse me or Pardon “ and turning he TV level up. I was seen by your lady (I believe her name is Hanna ) and surprised at the professional way she investigated my hearing problems, I thought they would just turn the volume up but she when in to depth with a hearing test etc. The end result is I can now hear much clearer and feel I have got my life back, so thank you Hanna you are a credit to Scrivens.

Scrivens in Market Deeping has the most amazing customer service. Nothing is too much trouble for any of the staff who are each polite, friendly, caring and have great ideas about what suits each customer.

Never answer the phone, impossible to get through to the Waterlooville branch, get transferred to a call centre who are not at all helpful.

Very unhappy with service. Have used Howes of Royston for a number of years. In the last few years I was prescribed driving glasses on 2 occasions and both times the glasses made my vision worse. The first set December 2022 I was given a refund. My last test was September 2024 again these made my vision worse. I was told I need to wear them and get used to them which I tried as I thought if I did not wear them and I was involved in an accident I would be at fault. I tried but could not get used to them and I was given another test. The examiner said my vision was fine without them and it was not a requirement to wear them when driving. I am not going to wear glasses which make my vision worse. In all my years of driving I have never had any problems. I have never needed glasses for driving and at present still don't. I asked for a refund but was told as I had them for 5 months I was refused. I am now left with a pair of driving glasses which cost £258 which I am never going to wear. I am a 72 year old and live off my pension and feel my money has been wasted.
