“My mum is 91 and lives in a care home, she recently told me she felt that she needed new glasses. She is frail and her mobility is not good so it was with some trepidation I booked her an appointment at your Bromyard branch, however they couldn’t not have been more helpful! From the moment we arrived nothing was too much trouble and Tas the optician was very kind and patient. Everyone helped her choose her frames and she has been delighted with her new look. Thank you to Hannah and her team”

“Hi Optician was great but after seeing on your website 3 days for glassaes then told after paying they eould be a week when i complained was told we will call the lab to put a rush on them and they would be ready today Feb 8 rang shop to be told they are still not ready what a joke really need my glasses for sork/driving etc will not recommend Scrivens to anyone”

“Very satisfied with the eye testing.Friendly helpful staff.Unfortunately the range of male glasses frames are small. Not as good a choice as the previous private optician who Scrivens bought out.”

“Decided to try Scrivens in Grantham as I was not happy with my last visit to the other one that I should've gone to (apparently). What a difference! I saw Raj, who introduced himself and throughout the appointment explained everything thoroughly- 2 specific questions I had asked the other organisation and was fobbed off were answered in great detail and made me understand so much better. Also what to do about them! Eye test was very thorough as well. I was there for about an hour and a half, then chose frames. I did ask for one of my frames to be used, which isn't an issue and found another frame for £29. They do have free frames, but they were really basic and I didn't like them. Considering there were only 2 members of staff in the shop when I visited, I would say they coped very well and the whole experience was so much better than the other organisation. Both extremely professional. I know where I will be going for my next eye test!”

“Had stuff put in eyes waited 20mins until I could not see properly was then told internet was broken so sent home loss of days pay and for my daughter who had time off to take me as I couldn’t drive after! Will rebook and try again!”

“The team led by manager Karl were brilliant, I always get a very personal experience when I visit the Wallasey branch, my father came with me who’s wheelchair bound and I can’t thank them enough for their help with him.”

“I wanted some prescription sunglasses & returned to Scrivens in Heanor because of the excellent personal customer service I’d previously received & I wasn’t disappointed. I wasn’t rushed and was given free rein to try on as many styles of frames as I wanted - even tho every pair I touched was kept aside to be cleaned afterwards. All the options (& pricing) of lenses were fully explained in a way I could understand. Advice given was friendly & professional and I didn’t feel under any pressure while thinking. It’s so different to how I felt when I used one of the bigger chains of opticians.”

“I recently went to your Hoddesdon branch for my eye test. The branch had a lovely friendly atmosphere and the optician was very knowledgeable and explained everything clearly. The ladies on the shop floor were wonderful at helping me find the right frames for me. A great experience.”
