“I had my eyes and ears tested today at the Loughborough branch and the service as usual was highly professional and extremely caring. I've been struggling walking recently and been in pain. The staff were so helpful and happily provided different chairs to ensure my comfort. Whilst I was there, a man came into the shop and became angry and abusive because he was kindly and respectfully asked to wear a face mask. I was very impressed by both the ladies who were calm and professional even though the man was quite scary! I would like to thank everyone for a good experience during my tests and in choosing glasses.”

“Most thorough eye test we have ever had. Mr P. Sahota was amazing. My mother and I had the best service from firstly entering the store right through to the end. All of the staff were pleasant and helpful.. We would definitely recommend Scrivens.”

“Fed up with my appointment being pushed back for regular eye test followed by diabetic eye screening. I have used your services for a few years now but having my recent 14 January 2022 appointment cancelled again and now you can’t fit me in until March/April is becoming a real nuisance. Think I’ll use a more reliable company now.”

“My wife and I went to the Tewkesbury branch for our eye tests. We haven't used Scrivens before, but our local optician - Guilford & Carter - were too busy to see us. I was very impressed with the professionalism of the staff; they were friendly but business-like. If the glasses I've ordered meet my expectations then we will adopt them as our opticians!”

“I had my eye test recently for new reading glasses i found all the staff helpful and professional the optician who carried out my eye examination was excellent and very informative I would recommend Scrivens Opticians to anyone needing an eye examination”

“Customer care is excellent, Karl makes you feel so impressed with Scrivens, he is always happy and has a smile to welcome you. The 2 female staff were very pleasant and quick to book us in for our appointments. The optician was very friendly and explained all about the eye test. We always go to Scrivens, and the main reason is the staff, Karl in particular. Good choice of frames, great prices too. You will not be dissapointed with them.”

“Good Morning I have just got off the phone with Lucy one of your advisors My 87 year old father has waited since November for a replacement hearing aid. My 85 year old Mother has tried and tried to get an answer on the telephone number when she eventually did get answer which has been twice the first one was no follow up and the second was the one which I took over in which Lucy just continually repeated herself when I asked to speak to her line manager I was refused every time even when I said to escalate the call . Lucy then went off to speak to her Manager and came back and said again no point in speaking to the Manager he will tell you the same thing as I am . Scrivens you take Government money paid in by us to provide a service previously provided by the NHS and you have failed badly shame on you. I am sure my Parents are not the only people who had this issue . Customer service clearly do not have enough staff to answer calls and do not have anything in place to follow up on complaints and queries . Maybe they just wait until the problem resolves itself ! Maybe you should realise the elderly people can’t sit on the telephone or hold a receiver for thirty Minutes plus while waiting for an answer. If I could I would give them no stars ! Shame on you !”

“I visited the Didcot Branch yesterday. The staff are so friendly and make you feel very welcome. I didn’t feel rushed when choosing some new glasses. I used to use another well known opticians but not anymore. I will be sticking with Scrivens!! In the end I chose 2 pairs of designer glasses. Very nice if I say so myself!!”

“I highly recommend Scrivens Beeston Nottingham. Shortly before Christmas I had an eye test and needed new glasses . Having a very small face can be a problem but the ladies there were so very patient, kind, understanding and knowledgeable. I love my new frames! Thank you for all your help.”
