“I've tried to make two bookings of an appointment. Have had no response to either of them. I received a written reply confirming my third booking. When I arrived for the appointment they had no knowledge of me. How do I get any service from Scrivens?”

“The staff at the Witney branch of Scrivens are very caring and helpful particularly Paris who was very patient, kind and patient with me as she guided me through the difficult task of choosing 2 pairs of glasses even though there were other customers waiting for her attention. So lovely to have such pleasant individual attention and I will certainly continue to have my next eye tests in the future there.”

“I’ve needed hearing aids since 2018 and the first pair I received were excellent the service I received was also superb, when covid arrived and things were more difficult I received a replacement pair in the post and again had no problem. Then in 2024 having heard nothing from Scrivens I booked for a repeat hearing test as I was aware either the devices were failing or my hearing had deteriorated, I was issued with replacement aids however I needed to book a further appointment as not only could I not hear as clearly as I could with the old ones but they randomly and constantly kept on whistling (loud enough for other people to hear) at that appointment they were tweaked to fix the problem, the problem wasn’t solved so I have been wearing the old aids and I’m just waiting until until I qualify for NHS aids from another provider.”

“Terrible after care service for Hearing care. Had my Hearing aids in 2023 from Alsager branch & since then they have been sent away at least 3 times to be repaired & then break again within a week. Getting an appointment is none existent. Spent almost 9 weeks without aids as appointments kept being cancelled. Will never go there again”

“I had an aye test and order glasses on prescription, though I found them very expensive but I ordered glasses. I recieved one pair out of 2 I ordered in almost two and a half weeks and second pair in almost three weeks. My experience of using their glasses is not good unfortunately. There is smoething wrong as my eyes are not relaxed after wearing them. I told them about this but they insist on wearing them for atleast two weeks. Two pairs of glasses cost me about £430 and results are not good. I don't know what is their return or refund policy. Does any one have any idea?”

“I had my new hearing aids from Pershore Road Birmingham B30 3Eg , the audiologist was very professional, understanding and friendly. doing his best to adjust my new aids to my hearing problem . the staff in the shop were first class , they done their best sort out the new hearing aid to get it fit more comfortable . at all times they were friendly and caring . if i could give 10 stars i would .”

“Took both my children for their first eye test, in Tewkesbury scrivens branch Gloucestershire. The staff and the optometrist put both of them at ease as they were both nervous. My eldest needed glasses and the staff were so helpful with helping her decide which glasses. Her Glasses arrived within a week and managed to got her an appointment for fitting the same day.”

“I had a hearing test and check up today in Scrivens in Princess Victoria Street in Clifton Village, Bristol and I am very happy with the results. Both Michael and Elly were very helpful and explained things so clearly and set me up with my new hearing aids. I am delighted with the service and wanted to let you know just how pleased I am. Also Nina is always incredibly helpful, efficient and kind. A wonderful team!! Please pass on my thanks to them as they always go the extra mile and i so much appreciate it. “staff are friendly & helpful . Also the optician listens and answers my questions in detail . You never have to wait more than a few minutes . They test your hearing too . All under one roof . So convenient . I am a pensioner from Swinton Mexborough .”

“A huge thank you to the wonderful team at Scrivens in Fordhouses! After my auntie had an unfortunate fall at my nan’s wake and broke her glasses, they were incredibly kind and helpful. They quickly replaced the frame and made the whole process stress-free during a difficult time. Friendly, professional, and truly caring service—I can’t recommend them enough!”

“A very friendly, respectful and caring service from the ladies at the Driffield branch. They have always put my needs first which I really appreciate. Over the years I value and respect their service and honesty when I am choosing a new pair of glasses 👓, the ladies will always let you know in the nicest way possible whether the frames fit my needs. What I also value is the excellent examination of my eyes from the optometrist. I am more than happy to recommend Scrivens opticians to all I meet. Thank you 😀”

“Very efficient and friendly service in a long established firm in the centre of town. They had s wide range of frames to suit everyone and my specs were ready in just a week with no problems. I would recommend them to anyone.”

“Last optician just kept changing my glasses but as soon as I saw Scrivens optician she saw what problems were and sent me for treatment all sorted now. Staff so pleasant and friendly nothing too much trouble would definitely recommend them. Easy ordering reasonable prices and prompt delivery a big thank you to the staff.”
