I was Keith waiting for 40 minutes over my time slot. I gave up and left after complaining to a manager.

After initial problems with an infection I had treatment and a swab taken by my GP. who confirmeb the ear was clear but took another swab to be sure. On the 2nd appointment the audiologist said the ear was infected. The result of the repeat swab again conformed that the ear was clear. The delays gerring appointmens and waiting for swab results meant tat it took 7 months from 1st appointment to receiving aids. The audiologist also said the "good" ear was also infected, an opinion proved by a swab by my GP. Y Your first request for feedback predated my receipt of the aids The cost of fuel plus parking was over £10 hense the negative feedback.

I took my mum aged 88 to have new hearing aids. To start with the audiologist was lovely but as the appointment went on the audiologist became quite short with us and then rude. She wore a mouth mask which made it very difficult for my mum to hear her. I am not sure why she didn't wear either a transparent one as working with deaf people or a full face! This all resulted in the appointment getting close to 45 minutes and she really just ushered us out in a rush and didn't explain how the new hearing aids worked fully. All very unprofessional and disorienting for such an elderly person. We wont be returning to see that audiologist again even though we are very keen to have the hearing aids adjusted. Now we cant get an appointment for a month just to have them adjusted. Very poor service.

Measured my eye sight wrong twice. I Asked for refund and wont let me have a refund. When i asked for speak to manager they also wont let me talk to them. This is at sheffield branch. Poor customer service

Why is your shop in Tewkesbury GL20 5JR always closed? I visited today, shop closed up. Sign on door saying closed Monday (yesterday) but no mention of it being closed Tuesday (today) I can't be the only customer to visit today and feel annoyed surely. Its very disappointing as I needed my new glasses adjusting as they are very uncomfortable on my nose, Gianni has already tried to adjust them twice. Appears the shop is struggling. Are Scrivens about to go bump?

My last dealings with Scrivens will be exactly that. Having paid over £600 for glasses, which turned out faulty, the replacement glasses, also faulty. I’m now waiting for yet another replacement.

BEEN A CUSTOMER FOR OVER TWO YEARS PAID NEARLY £3000 FOR HEARING AIDS, CUSTOMER CARE HAS BEEN DIGRACEFULL OF LATE HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR 2 RECHARABLE BATTERIES FOR 7 WEEKS NOW HAVING PAID £60 FOR THEM.YOU RING AND HAVE TO LISTEN TO AWFULL MUSIC AND NO ONE ANSWERS SO GIVE UP.NEVER WILL GO BACK TO SCRIVENS

Disgusting service waited over 4 months on a diabetic eye screen list called myself today to be told they stopped doing it in Sept, not a call nothing to let me know service poor

Genuine question, what has happened in your Tewkesbury shop? The new staff appear disinterested unless you are spending £££££'s as my wife found out! I was ignored for over 5 minutes when I entered the shop, granted they were serving others, however no eye contact, no offer of a seat, not even a smile - it is just rude. Atmosphere didn't feel friendly or warm anymore. After 5 minutes I walked out. Not missing much as my wife had her eye's tested there recently and the new manager smelled like he'd smoked 100 fags before serving her and called her the wrong name twice. She was to polite to say anything whilst there. You need to sort it out, it is a small town and people talk.

Avoid this place all together. All thought it was 7 months ago I had my new glasses from that place I went back as my lenses were not 100%. After a new check-up my lenses were slightly different. They offered to change the lenses if I paid again. You must be having a lough. That's some service for you. So, I wasted £400 on two pairs as I had a pair of sunglasses as well.

After spending many months and nearly £1400 on digital aids…I finally got the appointment to have them fitted! The audiologist (Clacton on Sea surgery) was extremely rude, I was met by him saying he had rang earlier to cancel as my aids were not there. After ringing the shop where he thought they were…not there…picked up by another branch assistant…rang her…she had gone on holiday after picking up the aids and not contactable! He then stated he ‘was pi**ed off! Tried for 9 times to get hold of head office/ customer services, waiting nearly 30 minutes in all to be told the customer service manager was not to be disturbed. So, terribly upset by rudeness, loss of money, no aids and no contact with Scrivens. If you are reading this please go elsewhere and save yourself such stress!

Refused to give me my pre booked eye test as i was still under 4 YEAR medical care....who were the ones who asked for the eye test in the first place.

Branch of Birmingham at 41 Corporation St, Birmingham B2 4LS is rubbish. Change appointment from time to time but no notice inform me of cancellation. Waste my time, my daughter has eye checking over three weeks, promise 10 days to pick it, over three weeks now. No one contact me. After I urge for it, confirm me to come on 9 Sept. 8 Sept, I call it again but replied that no appointment made for me. How crazy is this branch!

My elderly mother (who is profoundly death in one ear and poor hearing in the other) had an appointment today, your team called and cancelled last minute, she couldnt hear or understand the message, and when we turned up at the appointment we were told the room was hired and no contact details at all. I took the day off work and we cant get through to anyone on the phone- terrible service!

I was referred to Scrivens by my GP as they had a clinic in the surgery. In the end, this was not possible and I had to go into the local branch instead. The consultation was fine and I was supplied with new aids which were an improvement on my old ones. However, when I needed a follow up, the problems started. First, the branch did not have an audiologist. I was advised I would be informed when one was found. This never happened. Eventually I got so frustrated that I complained at the surgery. An appointment was made for me, but was cancelled by Scrivens at very short notice. Since then, 3 more appointments have been made and all cancelled the day before. Unfortunately, as an NHS patient, I am tied to Scrivens for 5 years. Looks like they are happy to take the cash. But not provide the service.

Was refered by NHS to Scrivens to supply replacement hearing aid, Was not contacted by Scrivens telling me this and it was only after 5 weeks and a return visit to my doctor for an update an appointment was arranged. Was told the ear moulds would be ready in 2 to 4 weeks. Its now 8 weeks later and still no sign of them.

My Mother is registered Blind and has hearing issues meaning she required an appointment with Scrivens She has waited 8 weeks for the appointment at Langford branch only for it to be cancelled the day before Now she has boon told she needs to wait another 8 weeks and attend a surgery farther away She is very upset at the way this has been handled It is shameful that Scrivens are treating an elderly disabled lady with such disrespect

I WILL NOT BE RETURNING TO THIS OPTICIAN, AS I WAS TOLD AN OUTRIGHT LIE AND MADE TO FEEL LIKE A FOOL.THE STAFF ARE FINE, VERY FRIENDLY, BUT THE PARTICULAR OPTICIAN AFTER GIVING ME A NEW PRESCRIPTION,THEN SAID I DID NOT QUALIFY FOR AN NHS VOUCHER, WITHOUT EVEN CHECKING MY DETAILS, SO I WILL NOT BE RETURNING THERE.

I had my usual optical test and decided to try varifocals as an alternative to my normal 2 pairs of glasses for reading and distance. I had extra coatings for scratch and light reflection and bought insurance. There is a cooling off period in case varifocals don’t suit you which I found to be the case and had started wearing my old glasses. I got in touch with scrivens to discuss the change and they said to come into the shop to discuss etc. In the meantime I lost the varifocals and advised them if this. They then told me I’d need to replace them before I could change back tp 2 different pairs which seemed strange as I didn’t want varifocals and they continued to say by the time the replacements came back I’d be out of time to change them to 2 pairs. Well, what a position I’m in now with no new glasses and have paid out such a lot. This is disgraceful, They’ve made it impossible due to their timings when it’s not my fault it takes them that long to replace what I didn’t want anyway.. I’m going to trading standards and hope this is resolved. I have since contacted them on 2 occasions and they say the same as above and now have stopped responding to me !
