Unbelievable. Ordered the decking, didn't receive on the first delivery day, then the second, then the 3rd. Called after the 3rd failed delivery "erm we don't know where it is " 😐 Had builders booked to erect the decking which we had to cancel and cost us money then on the second chase up they said they'd order another to be delivered. Waited. No delivery.. had no idea so asked for a refund. Scammers held my money for weeks . Eurgh.

Hi there, thank you for your review, we do apologise for our 3rd party courier delays, it is such an unprecedented time and in our 70 year history have never experienced such frustrating instances as you have experienced, but I must say they are rare, we have lodged a formal complaint with our courier company as any delay is so frustrating. It seems your consignment was dispatched on time but was mis routed within our courier network therefore we took the decision to re dispatch a brand new consignment to ensure your delayed was kept to a minimum. We do state though that our customers should never pre book tradespeople as goods should be received, checked and verified before booking, this in to ensure all products have been recieved and there is no damage and on the rare occasion there is a delay tradespeople are not booked and cannot perform the works. Again we do share your frustration and apologise for the delay and do hope your project is a great success.

Wrong goods to start with pick the Wrong goods up quicker than they deliver and then give it another go and tufnals damage them then want me to wait another five days no chance refunded

Hello, i am so sorry for the experience you have received this is not the outcome that you or ourselves want to happen we did arrange a replacement to be re sent out to you as soon as you made us aware of the situation unfortunately the couriers then damaged this and we could not meet the timescales that you required so sorry, we did of course refund you as requested. The delivery driver was unloading the timber onto a grassed area never rang bell to ask where we wanted it never spoke at all when we asked him to stop. Did move it onto concrete but still never spoke. If he had rung bell his job would have been easier as we moved the car to enable him to pull truck onto drive.

The purchase worked well enough, but the customer service was rubbish! I had a minor complaint involving a faulty piece of decking that was cracked right through. Should have been easy to deal with but after supplying photographs of the faulty timber as requested, I was just ignored and I heard nothing more from Savoy Timber. The options below don't allow me to say that I communicated with them by phone AND email. They also don't allow me to say that the complaint remains unresolved

Tried to send email to aftersales but it bounced back. Item not delivered on specified day and was delivered the next day but we were not told this, it was left on driveway whilst we were on holiday for a week. It rained heavily and the item packaging was damaged. No communication regarding delivery until I chased it up, only to find out whilst on holiday that it had been left on our driveway two days earlier. Couldn't get to it until we were back so it was just sat there for a week in all weather. Really poor considering the £15 delivery fee.

Although your products are outstanding the level of service I received on this order was poor. Ordering the materials was easy so off to a good start. However when I arrived at the wigan branch things started to not live up to previous experiences. I turned up and most staff seemed to be on a fag break. I went into the doors section where one member of staff was eating a sandwich talking to a colleague. It was about work so I stood and waited. They both looked at me, no smile or acknowledgement and they continued their conversation. After a few minutes and no acknowledgement I left and went into another section where both members of staff were on their phones, I interuppted them and asked where I went for online orders. It gets better... I went into the materials section where I handed over the paper with my order. The chap cut two boards and said what an odd size to order. I corrected him saying they are meant to be cut into strips which he replied "no". I pointed out the lengths and widths to which he grabbed the paper without a word and cut the widths. I questioned the lengths and he replied "we don't do that". Not sure what the point of adding a length was when you supposedly don't "do that". There was a lovely girl who offered to help me carry the mdf to the car and we had a lovely chat. She was the only positive part of the experience. I'm so so disappointed in the experience as I'm just starting to renovate my house and had planned to order the majority of materials through this company. However I really dont like being spoken to in a rude manner, ignored and simply treated like an inconvenience.

Unfortunately I never received any of the orders I made with this company, which was kitchen worktops and upstands, causing me great stress and inconvenience. Seems to be a few feedback of this kind so I should have checked before using this company. Unfortunately won't be using them again due to this experience.

I would question whether this is a “kit” at all. I bought a 5.4m x 3.0m decking kit with handrails at a cost of over £1,000. What arrived was 26 bundles of timber with no inventory to check against and a single box full of loose bolts and screws. Apparently I ordered incorrectly as I wanted boards to run parallel to the 5.4m side, not the 3.0m. So this left me some off-cuts and 4 boards short. When I asked for some help from Savoy, they said they could swap my remaining boards, but at a cost of an additional £100! (The cost of 4 boards being £32). Couldn’t be more disappointed and would 100% suggest you look elsewhere for your decking needs.

after using savoy for years i was so disappointed : told deliv would be 14 days on the 15 day i contacted your selves to be told you had not got all my order in stock , and would send a part order out , which i waited another week for . after waiting another week i once again contacted you to be told you had no idea when the rest of my order would be in stock i then cancelled my order and received a refund

Having used Savoy Timber when working as a self employed joiner and now doing a home project, it was a no brainier to use them again. The day before delivery I had a call asking what the timber was being use for, I explained it was for a pergola and would be on show. I was told it would then be delivered by the end of the week as the stock they had was no good for this. The timber was delivered by the end of the week as stated but not as I expected, I’m guessing they didn’t get the stock in, usually I would refuse to take delivery but as there’s a lack of building materials I decided to keep it. So an afternoon was spent with an electric plane to make it fit for purpose. I don’t think I will be using Savoy Timber again. Very disappointed.

Savoy timber never delivered everything that i ordered in a decking kit on day of delivery. I had various things missing which delayed someone i had coming to my house to build it for me for over a week. With various phone calls and emails i was told it would be a week later before the missing pieces would be delivered. I told Savoy timber to come and collect there decking kit twice as i was promised delivery earlier and it never came on that day. After eventually being promised my remaining pieces would be delivered the next day, a full week after my original delivery, guess what? It didn't turn up. I recieved a phone call at around 4pm to tell me not to worry it would be with you by 7pm. It eventually turned up the next day Saturday around 11ish with no one home. It was placed in the front garden. I still was bolts short, nuts short and one or two other things in which i went out and bought myself again. I would not recomend this company at all.

Timber floor boards were the incorrect size, these were specifically ordered as 6inch and the were actually metric floorboards that were provide over 1/2inch shorter. These are replacements so they need to be correct. I am still waiting on a resolution or response form Savoy and this is holding up my Contractor.
