The installation went ok although I would have preferred having the option to have the data cable inside the house, given I already had building work inside to easily wire the cable to the box. The other issue is installer couldn’t connect via WiFi despite moving my router outside, a few meters away. I was told to follow the instructions & download the app to do it myself. Downloaded app and it’s not accepting my password. Reset password with ‘forgot password’ option but still can’t login. Called pod point but they’re only open Monday to Friday. Logged a ticket via website and awaiting call back to fix the issue.

Whilst the installation itself, carried out by a sub- contractor, was a smooth operation, the communication from Pod Point was very poor. The only direct contact I had with the company was when they collected payment and tried to sell me a more expensive unit. From order to installation took 6 weeks. Prior to installation I was required to submit a large amount of technical information in the form of photographs and a site plan. This needed to be sent twice to two different arms of Pod Point suggesting poor linkage between different sections of the company.

After some initial confusion and a couple of lost emails, the installation was very smooth process with a nice unit installed with tether. Thanks very much.

The installers were great BUT despite sending videos of where I wanted the cable to run they could not fit it there as they are were not allowed to go up a ladder due to health and safety. I wonder why I had to send the video? They also said that scaffolding would need to be there to run the cable under the eaves, again this was not communicated by pod point. POD point seem to take a long time to answer calls and require a lot of input which then appears superfluous as it is not communicated. My bonding had to be checked again which meant pulling washing machine out again. Did not want a visible black cable running across the house.

Our installer was excellent. He did an extremely neat and tidy job that included some accurate tricky drilling through brickwork and put the pod point exactly where we asked. He was very pleasant and helpful. The booking experience was also very good. Always heard back within 24-48 hours. Less than 2 weeks from initial enquiry to installation. You need to take good photographs of everything asked for in advance of confirming the scheduled installation date; which is completely understandable in order for pod point to deliver such a slick service.

It took a bit of time to get everything sorted with house electrics prior to the installation, but once that was done the installation went ahead very smoothly - in fact it was advanced by a few days.

Installation guys were very polite, did a very tidy job. The whole installation experience was very professional. Service would be improved if a survey was carried out prior to the installation date to avoid any unexpected issues.

Engineer arrived, rang doorbell then left extremely hastily! I phoned him a few minutes later… no answer. He went to his next job but refused to return to me after despite obviously now having a free space! Over an hour spent on the phone to pod point, on hold for most of it! Finally got a rebooking a week later and on the day we collected our EV car. This engineer was really good. However, 3 hours into the installation he said that we can’t use it due to our tails being too small! An upgrade is required, basically a smart metre will cure but he can not do that, our energy supplier must. Over a week on and we still can not use the charger as there are no free appointments in the near future to get this completed. So we have an EV that we can’t charge at home! All pictures etc were sent to pod point so they should have advised us of this issue before the installation… they did not! We have the charger installed that can not be used! I might contact pod point, spend another 45mins on hold and tell them to come and take the thing back and give me a refund. Terrible customer service on this and other issues that i can’t be bothered to explain. I would suggest avoiding.

Very straight forward process after purchasing my podpoint online. Quick service with the appointment within a week of ordering. Great customer service from the Engineer who had completed my installation within about one hour. Thank you! Definitely recommend!
