POD point need to be more communicative as I the customer had to do all the running around to arrange cables to be placed ect. And all pod point do is come along and fit the pod and connect to the power meter.

Mixed experience, got a pro-active call and email asking why I hadn’t completed an order. This did actually prompt me to proceed with placing the order but then it was radio silence. I chased via email for an update and to confirm that my pre-installation form had been received but had no response. I eventually called and got out through to somebody who was not the politest and most customer focused person. Ultimately I got a date booked in for installation but I have no confidence that this would have happened had I not persisted with calling/emailing. Installation on the day was perfect; engineer was friendly, punctual and got on with the job without disturbing me too much.

The installation was amazing. Comms before the was poor. I had to chase the installation quite a few times. Although in the end we manger to secure a cancellation slot when i called.

The installation was fine but the black cable where the cable runs inside the house is unsightly. No trunking was used. I waited for the installation for 6 weeks and on the day the electrician exceeded their starting time by 3 hrs and consequently finished later than expected. Normally waiting 6 weeks for an electrician can be expected but not when you have to pay in full in advance. I had to make 2 enquiries via a very odd complaints link to a website and even then I needed to telephone on 3 or 4 occasions to find out what was happening.

This looks like a great product. Three and a half weeks after ordering it was installed a couple of days ago. The install by Eddie was better than first class . The ordering process once the order placed was less impressive and communication with the sales team virtually impossible. There was one simple step that was absent from the process once the installation questionnaire was returned. That was an acknowledgment to say “Thanks,we are now working with our installation team to identify a possible installation date- typically we would expect that to be approx XX days/ weeks. “But instead you receive nothing , and e mail queries are ignored and there is no one on the help lines to answer the phone enquiry. So I sat for two weeks without hearing anything - I was starting to wonder whether I had ordered something on a fake website! So great product, fantastic install, but a gap in communications between the sales and operational teams. It shouldn’t be too difficult to improve this

Installation wasnt the best Left all brick dust from drilling over my drive and the pod point has already come away from the wall where he has fixed into mortar . Used twice before it detached from wall ! Booking process good ! Cant send photos as currently working away from home !

The engineer was very late - after 1pm for an 8-12 slot. Once on site the installation was excellent, but we had to rearrange plans because of the timings.

Installer was brilliant and very knowledegable. Ordering was poor - no email confirmation that you received my survey details and I needed to call twice to get an installation date. I felt that if I hadn't called then I might still be waiting to hear!

I was disappointed that I had to pay the full installation cost of £1000 to install a replacement Pod Point unit which was just fitted on to the old wiring, especially when the original Pod Point only lasted 5 years

The installation could not be completed on the first visit as the incoming voltage (253V) was too high for the charger range (230V-250V), but was within the tolerance of UK supply voltages (216V - 253V). We had to contact National Grid to ask them to rectify the voltage supply level. Then we had to make several calls to Pod Point to arrange a second visit to complete the installation. We were disappointed that despite paying £1000 upfront for a service, we had to waste time and energy to arrange the modification of the incoming voltage ourselves. Furthermore, it is unacceptable that you are supplying a product that does not function across the tolerance range of UK supply voltages. As EV charging point installations become more frequent, this will be a growing problem and source of frustration for customers and DNOs.

The order process was a little too complicated and confusing, with limited responses from the team helping to book an appointment. Having to pay the cost upfront before an installation is booked feels wrong. However the actual installation was great, the engineer was knowledgeable and able to explain all the options and installed it quickly without any hassle.

The survey part of the ordering process i though was very confusing as the app would not accept my pictures so i ended up having to send them by 2 separate emails. Then i received a further email asking for more pictures! I have to say this part i found extremely stressful. The fitter (Matt) was extremely professional and a great asset to your company!

The experience was OK but not that great. After ordering, there was pin drop silence from pod point and I wasn’t given any installation date. I had to call them after a week to check if they had everything they need. It was then they booked me an installation date. I was expecting to get a date with a chaser. However, once I was given a date, everything else after that went smooth.

The ordering and scheduling process was a nightmare. A series of email bookings and no direct communication. Unreturned phone calls and call back requests. Eventually, managed to get this sorted by talking direct with the installation team (never heard anything from the sales team other than automated emails). The installer was absolutely fabulous. Kept me informed of what was going on. Timescales for each stage of the work and was very professional. In general a very polite and considerate chap. If one criticism exists, it’s that he didn’t have immediately available any ID to verify who he was and who he worked for - but we got there. Overall, very impressed with this installer. Top marks.
