There was a problem with part of my order. I needed the whole thing to start my knitting project but one part was delayed. Telephone communication was great but they didn't email information about the order. Overall, delighted to have wool and needles but feel should have been informed proactively about delays. However, seems like an honest firm and I would order from them again.

My order was delayed by over one week & I had little, or no, communication from Laughing Hens until I emailed them myself. I realise that this is a very busy time of year but how long does it take to send a short email explaining the delay? Other online firms manage to do this-it was my first order with them & I am reluctant to place any further orders.

I have not recieved my order yet, so a review isn't possible. The tracking number I was given, was not recognised by the postal website given.

It's not their fault. Shipping via UBS from the USA takes forever.

Although it warns you if a yarn is going to take longer than normal, it is too long. When my yarn was sent off, it took two days for it to arrive. Too long.

Product not what I was expecting. Thought I was buying Kidsilk Haze Stripe, needed some to complete an unfinished project. Unfortunately this is another manifestation of the yarn, so will be returning it. No complaints about the service which was very efficient.

Although I enjoy the emails I receive from Laughing Hens, I was a bit disappointed that being attracted to one of the patterns advertised and ordering the pattern and yarn as advertised, it turned out to be out of stock, and it took a couple of weeks for my order to arrive. I also ordered a couple of books that took longer than I've come to expect from other online yarn sites. I don't actually find the website very easy to use. I've once or twice given up and searched for the same product elsewhere.

As the web-site said orders would be dealt with within one to two working days I was a bit put off when I heard nothing for a week and had to send two emails to get any response. I appreciate that what I ordered probably was coming from Germany but it would have been helpful to be told why there was a delay. However I am delighted to have found somewhere that stocks Regia slipper soles -- everywhere else has Bergere de France which are more expensive.

I ordered goods from the website but was told there would be a delay on one of the items. Why offer it for sale then??? I wasn't told that the delay would be over a month so eventually I cancelled the order

Dear Carol Mack, We are sorry we could not deliver your order promptly, we are relying on our suppliers to hold sufficient stock and like ourselves they had ran out on this occasion. If we know the product is no longer available we show the stock on the website and do not accept Backorders. We hope we can provide a better service on another occasion.

Only part of my order was a ail able. The items were not sent until I requested that they should be forwarded at once rather than wait for the out of stock items It was not clear on the website that the yarn I ordered was not available . Money was taken from my account for items you do not have in stock. This is not good practice. . The quality of the items I have received is satisfactory. Thankyou

Prompt enough response to order for ONE skein of wool to finish a garment. However, email asking to review but wool still to arrive more than a week later. For amount of postage charged, this is unreasonable ... review your parcel carrier arrangements.

Susan Jane Kelly, thank you for your comments on our courier service and we are keeping an eye on it. For your reference we recently changed to Royal Mail Tracked 48 service so customers will be kept informed of the progress of their order and to ensure a more reliable service.

Not really very happy right now to be honest. Emailed laughing hens when the product arrived two days ago and still haven't had a reply regarding the fact they have either sent me the wrong colour or have labelled the colours wrong on their website. A simple courtesy email wouldn't have gone a miss. Also tried to call them but their line is always engaged. Not entirely sure I'll shop here again at this rate.

The wool is lovely , and the order was in the main processed efficiency. It was frustrating to be told one colour was out of stock only when the wool had been dispatched , and to have to wait three weeks for the remaining wool to arrive. Surely that should be made clear when ordering so I could order something else that was in stock?

Hello David, Thank you for your review. We apologise for the delay in receiving one of the colors for your order. When you view your basket at checkout it states if there is a delay on any items. Poor service. Twice I was sent wrong thickness of wool when I asked for 4ply.

Your order was shipped via Royal Mail Air Mail, delivery to USA takes between 5 - 7 working days.
