I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy. Broken promises, calls not returned, emails not answered and spent over 400 mins overall listening to awful music while on hold on average 25mins each call. Given an instal date for air con, and advised units would be delivered day before. No delivery received so rang them and they said my order had been cancelled. Not by me I might add, I eventually got new date so booked more time off work. Goods to be delivered by 10am and engineer would arrive after, received email on the day to say they could not contact engineer so job cancelled. Rang to establish if units were being delivered and was told by Anne they would not be as that is thier process. 2 hours later units arrived. Made numerous calls to get new date. Was told it was all booked for Mon 15/08/22 between 8am & 10 am. Yet more time off work, engineer arrived at 11.50 am and was fantastic, he was sick of apologising for this company, he asked what time the electrician was arriving, We had no idea. Another 3 phone calls made as they don’t ring you back as promised, only to find out that no electrician was booked. Electrician now book for the 18th so another day off work. This company are a disgrace please avoid at all costs, the constant hassle has made me ill. If you do use them good luck as your going to need it. I have emailed and have asked them to ring me to discuss my complaints but surprise surprise no contact.

I researched into getting Solar PV energy earlier this year and contacted several different companies. I decided to go with GlowGreen after several calls with them and what seemed like a friendly and reassuring person on the other end. Once they took my deposit money it’s been downhill since, firstly they can’t communicate with their suppliers or installers; I had 2 scaffolding companies turn up on the same day - I got told my panels would arrive on a certain day but tried to be delivered a day earlier when I was out. This delayed everything but after a few weeks things finally got delivered and a new install date was made. But here goes another set of drama; Due to the heatwave my work was able to be completed on one day so my electricians needed to come back another day to complete it (absolutely fine, we agreed a date) and they told me they’ll need to get onto the roof to connect everything. I then move my days I’m working in the office to make sure I’m around on the days work is expected. Whilst I was out of the house, the scaffolding team trespassed into my property (no one was in), nor was I made aware of them coming this day and took down the scaffolding. This meant the electricians were unable to finish the work! Oh but here is where it gets even more infuriating, I contact glowgreen the next week and they said okay we’ll get in contact with the relevant companies and get that sorted. The week goes by I hear nothing! I ring up again the next week, oh yeah we have an update for you but will need to speak to my manager they’ll ring you back later (do they? NO). I ring up again (hours of my time gone on hold and I’m still stuck at the same place) panels on my roof unconnected to power and just a company that lies and doesn’t actually do anything! I WOULD GIVE THEM MINUS 5 stars if I could! DO NOT GO WITH THEM!!

I am currently in dispute with your Collections ... I had a boiler fitted and the Engineers wired it incorrectly ... they have admitted this ... I called a plumber who fixed the problem .. to do this he charged $100 ... I still owned half the boiler cost, so I sent the bill to your department and said please deduct this and I will forward the balance owned of my boiler which is over £900 ... Your collection department then came back at me and said they would only deduct £25 of the £100 pound I had already paid the plumber . It beggars belief ...where can you get a plumber to call fix the problem for over an hour and only charge £25 ... I still not have paid the balance due as waiting for some sensible person to have a word with these people !! Paul Ross

Very bad experience, horrible service Very bad experience. I have the combi boiler installed two years before by this company, but it did not provide hot water. Glowgreen sent two technicians to us but they didn't solve the problem. Finally, I have to find a local engineer coming to fix the system. I have sent dozens of emails and phoned them at least twenty times. Their customer service team kept changing contact persons and lost contact after 6 months. I keep all communication records for public check (email) and here is my complaint reference code GG-TK-008152 on Friday 20th December 2019. Be careful! They rather sue you than provide a satisfactory service.

It took Glow Green 16 days to fit my boiler due to their inability to supply the required flue parts, it then took a further 14 days to collect the 6 packages of wrongly supplied flue parts so I would not recommend Glow Green to anyone C Wyatt

After ordering new combo boiler and getting it installed by a very good and professional guy he advised me that I needed additional electrical work done after waiting a week no communication from the company I had to call them and they emailed advising me I would have to pay an additional £200 plus but suggested I get another electrician. I emailed back my disappointment but heard nothing since. So would not recommend them

Absolutely appalling company. Last year when we agreed the fitting of 2 x air con units, engineers failed to turn up on the day, when one did turn up they hadn’t told him about the fit and what extra parts he needed to bring and he had driven here 3 hours. They were fitted and with in 2 days the downstairs unit was pouring water inside the house like a waterfall. They sent an engineer out who said pipe was kinked. Was too late in year then to use air con. This year we switched the air con on and yes you guessed it. It poured down inside like a waterfall again. I contacted Glowgreen who said they would get an engineer but then told me they couldn’t get one ( as they don’t want to work for them as they don’t pay them once job is done) I said I needed to get it fix d as the upstairs one was also now leaking!! They told me to get a quote, which I did from a local company( who said the work was the worst they had ever seen). I s not the quote to them and they had it 4 days and said managers would look at it. I am diabetic and it was the 2 hottest days of the year so I told Jamie from Glowgreen I would have to get the work done. He said go ahead and give us the invoice and a report on the bad work. I did this and it included that the upstairs unit had not been vacuumed on fitting and had coolant in the system so all the pipes had frozen and it was this leaking!! No pipes had been lagged. The downstairs unit had been fitted sloping the wrong way and could not drain so the reservoir was filling up and flowing into our living room. The drain hole had been cut too low and so water again would of had to go uphill. I had the work done which cost £480 and sent the invoice, photos and full report to Glowgreen. After 9 days Glowgreen have come back and said because I had not given them enough time after the report to investigate!! They would not be paying. I have reported them to Trading standards and will be taking them to small claims court DO NOT TOUCH THIS COMPANY THEY LEFT US WITH WATER COMING IN ON ELECTRICS AND LIED AFTER TELLING US TO GET REPAIRED

Terrible customer service. They fob me off and leave me on hold or never ring back. I have had a botched solar install from them and a month on, it has not been resolved, nor has anyone contacted me to arrange getting it working! All I get is my “ticket” has been assigned to someone every now any then, but not information and no resolution! Avoid using this company at all costs! If you unfortunately do and have an issue, you have been warned about the nightmare you will have walked into! The option on the review site ask how did I communicate with the company, it has been numerous phone calls, emails, a phone call to the complaints department (they didn’t answer after an hour of ringing) an email to the complaints department with no acknowledgement. This review website needs an option to say the company has not responded at all!

If I could give them 0 stars I would. We had a boiler installed and have not had hot water since, it has been almost a month since the installation. When we spoke to Glow Green they were adamant that the lack of hot water had nothing to do with the installation even though we had hot water up to the installation date and have had none since, and must have been due to a broken valve. They took no responsibility and they were only willing to return to our property to fix the valve for an additional fee. We had a third party come and review the installation because, quite frankly, we didn't trust that Glow Green would give us an honest answer. He quickly discovered that there was no electricity reaching our hot water tank so the lack of hot water was due to a faulty installation and not a faulty valve. We have reached out to Glow Green to resolve this and get an engineer over to our property to fix our hot water, but they have gone radio silent, not responding to our emails or calls. I would not recommend them.

Terrible customer service. My partner had a long conversation on the phone with salesman Chris about moving the boiler from one room to another when replacing the boiler. 0 notes must have been taken as when their installer rocked up he had no idea of the change in room. Firstly, installer Lee tried to call, which was met with we'll be in contact shortly (this didn't happen). Tried one of their numbers no answer on hold for 10 mins. Tried another number and got through, only to be told they would have to deliberate and get back to us shortly. No answer for the next hour and finally our installer called it a day. No call for the rest of the day. What a huge waste of time and they don't pay the poor installer despite driving 2 hour round drive for their error. Will promise you the moon on a sales call, but don't bother. I assume they will come back with a higher quote now and waste everyone's time. I'll be going for the local guy next time.

Appalling service. I ordered my solar panel installation on the 23rd March. The sales representation was very knowledgeable about the product and answered all my question well. The deposit was paid and the preliminaries required completed on schedule. At this point the service provided fell away entirely. When I spoke to the installation team I advised them of my holiday dates so that they could work round them. The first date given was during my period away. This was after resolved after two phone calls. The next date agreed upon was for a week after my return. A few days after the call I realised I had not received any confirmation of the proposed date and had to phone the installation team again. They duly sent a confirmation e-mail. On return from holiday I phoned to ensure all was progressing according to plan and was please to hear this was the case. On the morning the scaffolding was due to be fitted I contacted the Glow Green to obtain a rough timescale for their arrival. No one could provide me with one. Several phone calls and six hours later they admitted that no confirmation for the work had been received. Consequently my day was wasted. Without the scaffolding the rest of the work could not proceed. I had cleared my diary for the following two days in addition to the day the scaffolding was due to be fitted these where also wasted. There was no explanation as to why the scaffolders lack of confirmation had not been spotted during my previous calls or any apology. I still await a full explanation. In my opinion this showed a total lack of care to ensure Glow Green had completed their side of the installation contact, a casual approach to customer enquires and a total disregard for the customer time.

Hopeless almost from the outset. Poor telephone system - breaking off and cutting out. Took payment for a product that is not available. Cancelled survey. Cancelled installation with no warning. I recommend not using at all.

We booked in to have a boiler, radiators and pipework installed for a Mon-Thur. We were told that the boiler will arrive on the Friday prior so that it is there and ready to go. As they couldn't give us an exact time of arrival, my wife waited in for the boiler delivery. We then had a call from them on the Friday saying the boiler is not in stock (should of known this well in advance of the delivery day) and they would phone me on Monday to discuss options and availability. No phone call. I then phoned them on the Tuesday to find out what was going on and they then told me the Boiler was back in stock and the fitting date had been pushed back by 2 weeks. This wasn't ideal seeing as we had other works planned to be carried out on the Friday after the original completion date. I decided to phone for a refund (paid half upfront and the rest would be due on completion) and they said that someone will contact me urgently on that day. No phone call. Two days later I phoned them and asked what was happening and the lad was very helpful and was able to arrange for boiler delivery and installation to start the next day. We accepted this and then had a voicemail telling us it had been pushed back a day. Then another call it was back to next day. After the original timeline was scrapped, we had to cancel several contractors and subsequently had to pay booking cancellation charges. We phoned up to see whether they would reimburse us for any of these charges which were due to issues at their end and not ours. After a few calls back and fourth they made an offer which was quite frankly, insulting. As works have already begun there is no going back but I truly regret using this company. I can see many positive reviews so am aware that they are probably a good company on a whole but the experience and run around I have endured has put me off and with the total payment being around 6k I feel like I could of been treated a bit better and more efficiently.

Very unhappy with their customer services. After my boiler was serviced by them it started losing pressure, unless I had the heating on. The water was going lukewarm to cold during showers which is not pleasant. I called them to get the issue fixed and they did not take any responsibility for it. I was also told I would have to pay about £200 to have an engineer come over. Do not bother with them, buy your boiler from somewhere else.

Rather use your local plumber who may charge a little more, but will do a site visit (essential) and provide an actual service. False advertising on website claiming 48 hours for emergency installation but actually took two weeks to confirm an installation date. Despite the company sending two emails confirming installation date, They never showed up for the delivery of the boiler, or for the following day installation. I waited in all day and no one called to apologies or communicate anything! When I called to find out, they lied about a delivery lorry breaking down, then about a microchip problem, and it finally turned out that they had no stock of the Vaillant boiler. You would think they would have been aware of this problem two weeks prior , when I booked and paid for the new boiler, or in the days leading up to the installation date? They then offered me an inferior boiler to be only installed in another two weeks!! This seems to be their standard operating procedure if you look at the other complaints. They also will charge you a £250 cancellation fee in their terms and conditions, but are unwilling to cover loss of rental income for not showing up. They will probably respond to this with their standard: "We appreciate you have not received exceptional service”, but beware they do not give a damn about the terrible service they offer!

I placed an order for Solar PV with a battery in early February 2022. Initially I was told installation including battery would be completed with 6 weeks, then I was told DNO applications would take 10 weeks, which turned out not to be true. We agreed an install mid-March and I waited. On the day we were let down, but this wasn't confirmed until the next day following hours spent on the phone trying to get things sorted. We were delayed until April but then let down again. We were asked to agree to additional costs for scaffolding before scheduling again for this month and I have just been let down again. In addition, the wrong parts were delivered which too a few additional deliveries to resolved and a non-MCS accredited engineer was booked for our first attempt. All the installers I have spoken to suggest that every customer they deal with has problems similar to my own. In addition emails are not replied to, every call will have you in a queue for 30mins+ and when you do speak to someone they are never somebody who can take ownership of your problem. I've had so many broken promises now that I do not believe them any more. I've seen so many examples of other customers with similar issues that I do not trust the review score I am seeing here. Glow Green are either creating false reviews, rewarding positive reviews or selectively inviting reviews for successful installs, but I expect a high proportion of bad experiences that is not reflected here. Do not use Glow Green, use another company who have their own installers instead. It's definitely worth paying more.
