I had a very poor experience with Glow Green during the installation of a solar PV system at my home. The process was mismanaged from the start and has left me with significant property damage and serious concerns about regulatory compliance. The initial scaffolding crew damaged two roof tiles and then left without completing the rear installation, claiming the roof was too delicate. A second crew eventually came, admitted to breaking over 10 tiles, and promised to replace them—but that never happened. When I contacted Glow Green with photographic evidence, I was told they wouldn’t repair the damage, citing a clause in their terms about “cosmetic damage.” Broken roof tiles are not cosmetic—they leave the roof vulnerable to leaks. Even worse, I was later informed that the system had been installed and connected without the required G99 approval from the Distribution Network Operator (DNO). This approval is legally required before installation for systems over 3.68kW—something Glow Green themselves state on their website. At this point, I have a damaged roof, a system that may not be legally compliant, and no accountability from the company or its subcontractors. The lack of professionalism and care has caused a great deal of stress for my family and me. I would strongly advise others to think twice before choosing Glow Green.

Terrible company. Don’t waste your energy or time. They will take your money, then week upon week cancel your appointment and waste your time. Want to complain, complaints will get back to you in 8 weeks - terrible service all round. Avoid!

The installation of a new boiler by Glow Green has been a total disaster.The first installers had no idea how to wire the boiler in and left the job unfinished. Although the wiring was eventually finished, further problems emerged and when I called in a local engineer he told me that a bypass had been installed in the wrong place meaning that radiators were heating up when the hot water came on even if central heating is switched off. Cost to fix this £618. Steer clear of Glow Green

Customer Service is poor, they do not call you back and takes 3 or 4 calls to get some positive response. In hindsight I regret taking out a service contract with Glow Green there is always some hassle with getting an engineer to call. They do not have any suppliers in the area that can supply spare part.

Do not use this company Been a customer of glow green for 5 years. Upon having a boiler installed, we took up the service contract with this company, who stated that a warranty would be in place for the next 12 years if service carried out with them regularly. Unfortunately for myself, their reminding system to assist with remembering when to get a boiler service is absolutely woeful, and we didnt receive a reminder email in 2024. There is absolutely no system in place there to assist with chasing it through, and they are happy to let this go by and not care about it. My boiler now unfortunately has an issue, and they are happy to request that i pay a call out fee to have them come and look at the issue (even though i have been consistently paying them money for a service that i never received). It seems this system only benefits their company and i do care to give them any more of my money if this is the way it treats its customers. Everything will be cancelled and i will give someone else my money instead to undoubtedly give me a better customer experience. On top of all this, it has taken them 2 weeks to finally tell me this is there final position on the matter. Dreadful. Steer clear!!

The Company have failed to honour their care plan, I have paid for. A simple request to change a Radiator Value on the 17th January 2025 , under the plan, is still stuck in the ticketing system . After 6 Phone calls, Including formal complaint. They are still kicking the ticket around 16 days later, Plus the Phone system is designed to frustrate one. Its taken 2 weeks for them to place the order for the radiator valve , well correction, ask some one higher uop the food chain for approval to place the parts order with the supplier. .. They are incompetent. I am now forced to look at a third party to fix this job, and and I will send the bill Glow Green . Its a total disgrace. To date they have never comeback to update me on the progress.

Worst consumer experience ever? I can't overstate how bad the service from glowgreen has been from start to finish. They started by giving us an incorrect solar design, sending more panels to our home than could physically be installed on our roof. We're having additional work done on our house so didn't need glowgreen's scaffolding offer, but of course this was placed on our bill and we were charged for it via direct debit regardless. That was only the beginning of the mistakes. They sent round an engineer the day before the scaffolding was ready for them to do their install - though I had rung them multiple times and sent multiple emails to confirm that it would not be possible to install the panels that day. They then rebooked the install for a month later (all the while the panels and gear have completely taken over our living space), only for the engineer to not show up. I received no email, no call, no explanation or warning - again despite me calling and emailing them multiple times before hand to confirm the install would be going ahead. They rebooked the install for another fortnight later, and again no one showed up and again no warning or word was given - again despite me emailing them asking to confirm it would go ahead. It's now been three months, we've paid a bunch of extra money to keep the scaffolding up (glowgreen gave us 100 pounds off to help with the first time we extended the scaffolding because they missed the installation window, nothing since...), we've lost access to our main living space through winter, and I've wasted ten plus hours on the phone to different agents and being bounced round different departments over email. It's honestly hard to see how this whole experience could have been worse.

Terrible, used this company to installed solar panels at two properties in September 24, neither installed correctly, no customer service, say they will call back and never do. Have a active complaint which is being ignored. Do not use.

We are amazed with the quality of service. The guy that came out to us was very efficient and thorough. We also had a telephone call to ensure everything matched their high standards. Couldn’t fault anything.

Avoid them. confirmed their quote for a combi boiler 6th of november 2024. they said they would start work as soon as the items were delivered but they came on site 6 days later due to the engineers van broken down. They told me it was a 1 day job, it went a 3-4 days job 8am -9pm. By this time my son was born and 13th of november and I had no hot water or heating in the house. The boiler kept having issues of low preassure every 2 days it wasnt working. I contacted the company which due to a poor costumer service (phone call and emails) said thye could not help. To this day, no reply from them and i refill the preassure manually every 2 days. I wish I could have appointed another company.

WORST COMPANY EVER.... DO NOT USE!! absolute liars. Disgusted, Were given a quote on the phone by Tom,literally 2 minutes after checking for boiler quotes online ,with the British Gas engineer still here having given us the bad news of needing a new boiler.! ( Quotes had'nt even appeared on line before the call came) Strangely we then could'nt get hold of Tom and an email was ignored. We checked today as we wanted a written quote, were fobbed off with an excuse about their IT system not working properly so could'nt send a quote,!!! and tonight we spoke to someone else who knew nothing about a problem with their IT!! we were then told they were going to quote us an EXTRA 1500 pounds !!!!!!! Happy Christmas!!! NOT !!!!

My elderly mother has been left without water or heating due to the glowgreen engineer. She lives alone and is elderly. She phoned the help desk who then shouted at her to listen and said it was her fault the engineer broke off the stopcock to the house. What a nightmare. My mum is in tears. The patio needs to be lifted up to fix it and she is cold. I have never been so angry with a company before. So horrible to her. These people are subcontractors and cowboys, spend you money elsewhere

Replaced my boiler in October. 3 days after installing it it failed to switch on It's not working properly and on 3 occasions now not switched on and has had a fault code present. They sent someone out to look at in, inconclusive. Reported it again over 2 weeks ago still waiting for someone to come and look at it. I would not recommend using this company.

This company is very difficult to work with. Installed my boiler back in 2019. The boiler was delivered and dumped in someone's parking space on rain and the driver refused to remove it. The following day after numerous phone calls someone came and moved it to my flat. The engineers who were supposed to come and fit it cancelled several appointments. Very difficult to get in touch with them even on emergencies and when you do they lie and are rude. They have cancelled 3 service appointments for me this year and as I write this I'm waiting for someone to come who was meant to be here between 1-2 pm. I'm a nurse and have to work nights or swap shifts to accommodate this appointment's and they do it year after year. The only option will be to look for a more customer oriented company. This is really heartbreaking considering that I per monthly to cover my boiler and by the look of it, it won't be serviced this year and would have lost that money. Really desperate 😢

Customer service is non existence. If you have a problem or query after solar installation, once they have received their money they just don't care. The stress this company has and still is causing is unforgivable, shouldn't be allowed. Finally had no option but to put a complaint in writing and they aren't even following their own complaints procedure. Company is absolutely shocking.....avoid. There are so many more reliable ones out there, that don't contract out the work!

Carried out work for this company.They do not pay installers properly or on time.They have been reported to gas safe for their dealings.They have a solicitors letter in the post and will pay costs incurred for me recouping my fee.I have reported them to the ombudsman and they will be contacted in the next few days. The office staff are terrible at handling things and the engineer portal is a joke to fill in. They do not pre survey properly because its an online firm so they use pictures.There were many issues with the property electrics which i paid an electrician to sort out with my own money to stop the job failing in the day ,so they didnt look bad.I have not been paid for this or the boiler installation. They are crooks,any installers should steer clear of this company,and any customers should research local companies in their area rather than use these Bournemouth based online hawks. The on boarding manager has left the company so no point of contact,repeatedly asked to deal with a manager but the incompetence is breathtaking . I have worked many years in the industry,this company should be avoided they are the worst i have come across. Companies that dont pay staff end up with only staff that dont care about customers in my experience.Also they remove negative reviews and try hide their atrocious customer service. Avoid these types of companies!!
