Prompt, efficient, professional and friendly service. The technicians were first class and knowledgeable. I wish we had come across Glotech years ago.

This review relates to a Fridge/freezer unit only. Glotech repaired a cooker timer unit as well, and that all went well. As far as the fridge is concerned, we had to wait about a week (from initial contact - so why does the voice over on the telephone queuing system tell us that 80% of issues are dealt with in 24 hours?)) for an engineer to arrive and to diagnose a non-working fridge. The opinion was that the temperature controller had failed and it needed a new control board. Parts ordered and paid for, re-visit booked (another week), Engineer fitted parts, proclaimed it working. However, it wasn't. The temperature control dial wasn't actually coupled with anything and span freely. The fridge still wasn't getting cold (in fact, it was warmer inside the fridge than the then outdoor temperature). Left it another week or so to see if it would "settle (as advised by engineer) but after another week, contacted Glotech again - and had to wait another 8 days to get a return visit. At that visit, the compressor was deemed as running very hot, and there was evidence of gas loss. Why wasn't that diagnosed on the first visit 6 weeks earlier? The unit is beyond economical repair (despite being only 3 years old - BEKO - be warned!!). The like for like replacement offered by Glotech was £50 more expensive that Euronics standard price and the "install new/remove old" service was £50 more than that offered by AO, John Lewis, Euronics, et al. So, although they offer to refund 50% of the call out service charge if you buy from them, the higher purchase costs and the (frankly exorbitant) install/remove fee nullifies that offer. I'm not, as you might gather, particularly impressed.

I had read a few unsavory reviews, so I was a bit concerned . I had absolutely no need to be when Chris the engineer called me prompt on the morning of the scheduled repair. He waited until i got back from the school run. Came in fixed freezer with ease working out problem very quickly. He was polite pleasant efficient and very professional. I would most definitely use Glotech again without hesitation if this is the excellent service you receive. Thankyou Plus very reasonable price.

Did not go head with the repair - why would I when the cost of the repair was the cost of 2 washing machines !

Telephoning to make an appointment was the hardest process! Having to pay upfront for the repair surprised me - but perhaps is understandable. Engineer was very helpful and would recommend the company.

Nothing was repairs unfortunately, although the engineer “diagnosed” the issue but he was very poor in explaining the problem. And when I asked him again just to get proper sense and f what the problem was, he just told me “you can ask as many times as you like, my job is to check the problem for you and it’s not fixable”. Then I got a second opinion which was slightly different from what he said the problem was and my appliance is now fixed. Though some of his suggestions was mentioned and repaired/replaced too but I found it a waste of money and time unfortunately.

The young man was very polite. He had to fetch the oven right out and without my husbands help (he is 84 years old) he would have struggled as his table wasn’t high enough to rest the oven on. But he did the job well enough.

Absolutely awful service. Impossible to get through. When I did they ignored message so no progress with repair. Phoned local guy who is now dealing. Very uncustomer centric. Will never use again. Paid them for no resolution.

Leon arrived on time with the required part, having deduced from the original request what would needed. Tackled the inbuilt dishwasher without any bother, fitted the new heater, then slotted everything back into place all neat and tidy, what more could anyone ask for?

Customer service is so bad it resulted in my wife calling begging & crying for them to respond to a simple request that they said multiple times they would and didn't. Online booking system doesn't work, made a booking over the phone, 4 weeks later and 2 engineer visits and fridge is still not fixed and £102 later told no refund as engineer has attended. Worst service we have ever experienced - DO NOT USE THESE GUYS

Had a very frustrating and poor experience with Glotech, who despite asking for details of the fault with my washer/dryer arrived without having read them. The engineer stated clearly that if the notes had been read they would have known it was a waste of time coming out. He also failed to mention that I'd get half the repair fee back if I ordered a replacement from them. Their customer service was also poor. Not what I'd expect from supposedly 'helpful professionals' I'd go else where if you can.
