“The engineer told us that our fridge needed a new compressor. The amount he quoted for the repair was outrageous! His visit cost £114, a new compressor was £440 and it needed re-gassing £150, a total of £704. A brand new fridge is only £350, so it was twice the cost of a new fridge!! We did not take up the offer. The visit was to include all the labour of any subsequent repair, the engineer was with us ten minutes but there is no reduction of the fee available even though no work was carried out. We tried to be 'green' and adopt a make do and mend attitude, obviously a big mistake. Very disappointed. Will not use again.”

“Was notified by engineer he was on his way which was good so we knew a time frame to expect him. Was a quick look at the fridge & the noise it was making he knew what had broken, the whole fridge. Disappointed he then followed this with it was a wasted journey through the valley!! Hardly when it was still a £105 cost to us for the company! And I'm sure he still got paid the same no matter the distance he had to travel for the appointment !!”

“My appointment was changed but within good time and it was acceptable. My washing machine could not be repaired but he told me in very quick time and explained everything he had done.”

“We finally got our fridge freezer working again but after waiting 4 weeks for this to be done. They changed one component first then it wasn’t that. We then had a refund for that part. They then said it was another part which then took another week to be ordered but couldn’t come to us till the following week to fit it.when they eventually came out to fit this part the freezer was to frozen for it to be fitted ( they should of said to turn of fridge freezer 48 hours before fitting the part) so after all that we had to wait another week for them to come back out to fit the new part. Overall we weren’t happy with the experience but glad that it’s all fixed now.”

“I wouldn’t advise anyone to contact Glotech repairs. Always wary of the fact that anyone who asks you to pay upfront might not be the best and I was proved right. Your service man told us that the washing machine was not working because there was too big a load in it…5 hand towels!! Really! We were his last call at 2.00pm and he wasn’t gone 5 minutes before I put the washing machine on again and surprise, surprise it was not working. Even at an early finish to the day he would not come back again. We got a reputable repair man to come later that afternoon, didn’t want paid upfront, and declared the mother board was broken. One bad public review is worse than 500 good ones and you can guarantee I am telling everyone far and wide NOT to use your business. So if you are really a family business I would be very concerned about how long you are going to be in this field and how reliable the people are in their knowledge to keep you there.”

“Very glad I found these guys - local very quick efficient service and reasonably priced too. They kept me informed at all times when parts were on order, when they would be returning to fit them with text updates and emails. I will certainly use them again for my next domestic appliance disaster and they were quite happy to repair a 6 year old dishwasher in our offices rather than fob me off and tell me to get a new one! Thanks very much”

“Booked a repair for a Thursday morning, this was changed by them via email to Thursday afternoon which i couldn't do. Had to ring and change for Monday and i explained issue to lady i spoke to. Engineer arrived an hour late but was very polite and professional. He said straightaway that it couldn't be fixed and i should have been told that when i booked (type of machine meant bearings couldn't be replaced). Still had to pay £64.95+vat for 3 minute visit. I think a bit more internal communication would have saved me money and time. Also why book online if they are just going to change it? Will probably use more local repair next time”
