Glotech is night mare we have had engineer been gone to come back with the parts is nearly 3 month every time we call just they refer other branch they ask we leave voice message I paid £80 for no service

Three engineer visits, over 5 weeks wait, at least 5 phone calls waiting for an average of 25 minutes per call, fridge still not fixed even though I was told the part they were to fit (100£ plus and a three week wait) was going to fix it. Its been a really unfortuanate series of events and the technicians all seem very polite and nice but this is not acceptable. I've called to ask for a refund as I bought the part in good faith on the baissi that the engineer told me it would fix the problem. It hasnt and now ive paid for the call out charge, a part and Im no better off.

Today I was visited by Jim who came to repair my fan oven. He arrived on time and had a pleasant manner. He quickly diagnosed the problem and carried out the repair on the spot. He was knowledgeable about the appliance and was happy to answer questions about it's operation. I would not hesitate to use the service again and also to recommend it to others.

While the engineers were friendly and efficient, I was disappointed at having to wait more than a week between the first visit, to diagnose the problem, and the second to actually replace the heater (it should have been pretty obvious that the heater needed replacing from my initial request, and I'd already supplied the make and model). Also that the engineer's visit is just speficied by date, not time of day, or even morning or afternoon, so that I have to plan on being at home the whole day.

Total waste of money! I can’t quite believe how much I’ve let myself get ripped off by these people! Story is, washing machine starts banging and dumps water on kitchen floor. We booked online for 2 day call out and PAID IN ADVANCE £85 - day before he’s due, they call and change appt for two further days time. Ok.. He turns up on the day (Last call of day!) puts his hand into the machine, spins the drum and says ‘Bearings gone mate’ - (I could clearly hear they had) - I then asked if he could change them and he said No, the machine company do not supply bearings only, just the whole drum system.. he plays on phone for 2mins and says - cost of part is approx £260+ vat! (Plus labour) - I replied that fit was more than machine was when new! - he said it was normal and that I might as well get a new one. He told me that they were part of the Bennett’s company and that someone from the company would call me the next day and try to sell me a new machine and that I would get back 40% of today’s call out fee off of the new machine. He then left (All in 7mins for my £85) I was a bit wary if he was being honest about the bearing so I called a local one man band repair place who confirmed it to be true but said ‘The company SHOULD have got you to spin the drum whilst on the phone - then you would’ve saved £85!’ He confirmed a new machine was the way to go so I waited for them to call as engineer said they would - nothing! Eventually, I couldn’t wait any longer so logged onto Currys website and ordered a new machine to be delivered and installed the next day without issue. At about 4pm that day, a young lady called from the repair company and tried to offer me the repair service for £260+vat and labour! I told her the engineer had said machine wasn’t worth it and that she was supposed to be offering me a new machine at a discount to which she replied - ‘I know nothing about that, I’m on the repair side’ - here we are, 2 weeks later and I still haven’t had a call to offer me a new machine with my discount on call out fee! My new machine was supplied and installed by Currys without fuss 2 days after the engineer had come. So Glo-tech - not only did you rip me off for £85 to come out when you could’ve got me to check the drum, you took the money (For 7mims work) and run! You’ve never bothered trying to sell me a new machine, nor spoken to me about the 40% off the call out fee. AVOID this company like the plague - they ARE NOT a repair company - they WILL fit new parts rather than repair but it will usually cost far more than the machine is worth! Therefore they make their money on call out charges alone! Moral of the story - check the drum before calling anybody. If it sounds ok call a LOCAL engineer, not these cowboys! If bearings are noisy, buy a new machine. It’s cheaper in the long run!

I am a private tenant, and my oven is insured by my landlord. 24th June, the parts to fix my oven were ordered. The first visit was booked for the 2nd July, the guy came, changed the heating element, but didn't have the bulb that he was asked to replace. On the 8th July the oven shorted out. An appointment was made to come and fix it on the 12th July. Which was cancelled. On the 16th July, the guy came and said that the element that was fitted on the 2nd was the wrong one, he restarted it to work, and said would order the new parts but it was likely to short again. Which it did. On the 20th July it shorted again. No communication about when the ordered parts arrived. An appointment was made today, the 22nd in the afternoon. I called at 4.30pm to confirm someone was coming and was assured after being on hold for 20 minutes they were. No-one has shown up. No-one has called to explain what is happening. I have been without an oven for TWENTY FOUR of the last 30 days. Not once has the call out been same day or next day. In two instances you've not even shown up! The woman I spoke to today LIED to me, and I only called because I have no trust in this company. The service at every step has been incomprehensibly poor. Our bulb is broken, and at each appointment we have asked for a new one. At the two times we have visited the engineer hasn't known why they've come, and hasn't had the parts to fix it, including not keeping bulbs on the van as they get broken. With no intention of follow up, and no intention of creating a solution. In fact they've bodged the job by fitting the wrong part in the first instance. I'm furious, and disappointed.

Our cooker needed several parts which were ordered by Dean the Engineer swiftly. Although 1 part came from the manufacturer as the wrong model Dean located the correct replacement part quickly and then returned to complete the job effectively . We are very happy with the Customer Service team who sorted out a partial refund of a part we didn’t need and Dean’s cheerful and effective service. Thanks Glotech … we would definately use your company again! Five stars!

It was easy to book a repair visit for our failed wine cooler. Engineer arrived on time. Although they were not able to fix our appliance, and we paid extra for a refridgeration Re-gas . Glotech were helpful and refunded the Re-gas cost we paid. So they only lose one star! I would certainly use them again.

Thank you Glotech. I found your website very clear and it was easy to fill in the information you required from me so that you sent an appropriate repair person. I was contacted quickly to confirm the information I had given and to pay the call out fee. My repair man arrived early in the period of time you had given and he sorted out the problem with my fridge freezer smoothly and quickly. He was very pleasant to have in the house, worked hard and cleared everything away before he left. I will use your efficient and pleasant service again if the need arises and will tell other people about your company too.

Really disappointed. Have had good service from Glotech previously but now really disappointed. Booked for a repair to our cooker on 17th June. Arrived on time. Needed to order part. Part due to be fitted between 12 - 5 pm 28th June. Engineer never arrived and I received a phone call after 5 to say that he wasn't coming. Engineer away on holiday following week so I asked for a guaranteed arrival time as I had wasted half a day for a repair that never took place and cannot take another half day off. Agreed appointment time and date Monday 26th July. Agreed 8am - 12pm appointment and received e-mail confirmation but again asked for first call as I had wasted half a day. Today (21st July) received a call to tell me that no, they would not guarantee a time and that due to work load the appointment will now be between 12pm - 5pm. Have now had to re-arrange for someone to be here as I had previously explained that I have a long standing appointment that day that I cannot change. Asked for a manager to call me back - no call. We have been without our fan oven for 5 weeks.

The work was done fine by a friendly engineer, though the first visit was delayed by a day from the initial appointment. However... the promise of a one-off labour charge is offset by excessive price increases on parts. I was told "oh no, you won't be able to search for the part online from the invoice, we use different part-numbers", but that (a) wasn't true and (b) is a clear attempt at preventing us from discovering the uplift they charge.

Poor service £70 paid washing machine limited check . Leak under machine advice from engineer to order a door seal. Husband repaire a tear in the sump hose. Very dissatisfied. No call back as agreed. No response to comments on line!! Or phone
