“Good service after original fault was not corrected,but when called back out Francis (not the original tec) sorted problem and put right new part fitted no fuss . I think with any of of these Tec it is luck of the draw who you get.”

“The engineer identified the fault but as the drum was worn and no longer available the repair was uneconomical and we only had to pay the call out charge. I see that a Mike just left a poor review for a similar thing. Mike should have realised himself that his machine was old and may not be repairable. He equates 3 mins work to a £70 charge as unfair. Does he forget the cost of maintaining the vehicle, travel time to and from his home = labour + VAT at 20%? I too was annoyed at having to pay £70 for nothing but that was my problem not the company or engineer. I bought a replacement Hoover in a sale at £229. An excellent machine.”

“BE WARNED!!! DO NOT CALL THIS COMPANY FOR REPAIRS TO OLDER MACHINES! It could prove to be a very expensive mistake. I called them to replace a stiff filter/pump cap on the front of my old Bosch washing machine - the cap which customers routinely check themselves to remove fluff etc. The soonest they could come out was 3 days later. When the engineer came, he was on site for less than 3 minutes (!) before assessing that the drum's bearings were overly worn, so not worth repairing. But I still had to pay the full labour charge of over £70 pounds! For 3 minutes attendance and no repair! GLOTECH's customer service policy is rather nasty in this regard. An ethical company would have warned of this possibility on the telephone once they realised the age of the machine. GLOTECH did not. Which speaks volumes about their attitude to customers. SO BE CAREFUL!!!”

“I didn't actually have a visit in the end as the engineer contacted me to say that no one had been trained to deal with my particular oven problem. I appreciated his honesty in not coming out, telling me he couldn't do anything and me having to pay a call out charge unnecessarily. Thank you.”

“Polite and efficient engineer who got the dishwasher working again but found it had been leaking and spent time running it to see where it came from. He admitted that the leak might continue as it was not obvious where it was coming from. Neat and tidy work and the office kept me informed as to his arrival time. Thank you”

“It would be wrong to refer to our 'repair', there was no repair. The engineer was fine, called us from his holiday to make appointment etc, no quibbles. It does seem to me, and call me cynical, that you guys could make a lot of calls per day and never repair anything and never order parts. £66 a pop for telling us that the repair would be uneconomical is a great business to be in. Having said that, I'm also surprised that you don't recommend new appliances, or even sell them.”

“The diagnostic was thorough, however it wasn't fixed, -which is fine as the repair man wasn't able to, however I was just told to pay and received no more information then; its expensive to fix and we will get more details on Monday through email. I had to push to ask if its safe the way it is. Additionally, I paid more then the quote - which wasn't explained fully either.”
