Contractor claimed to have left a voicemail advising they could not make the appointment booked. No such message received. Only found out when trying to narrow down the time slot. Would not use service again due to being let down. Booked with local contractor

As I wrote in an email to you not yet answered: Good afternoon, The engineer came round today and found that the drier had a problem with the heating component as we described. The engineer rang up to get a quote for the replacement component and the cost incl vat was over 500UKP which we of course declined as it is more than what the drier cost in the first place brand-new. I am obviously very unhappy because I described the problem and gave the make and model number. You really should have advised me that the repair was unlikely to make economic sense. Please advise Many thanks Hamish

Hi Mr Drewry Thank you for your feedback and we are disappointed you didn't feel our service lived up to your expectations. Whilst we make every effort to advise customers on the faults their appliances are showing, it is not possible to accurately diagnose every fault over the phone for every appliance as symptoms can be caused by a wide range of underlying problems. In cases like this the best course of action is for an engineer to manually inspect the appliance to diagnose the faults as in this case. We are sorry you feel we should have told you the repair cost was going to be high however we hope you understand at that point in time we could not have known. We would like to apologise again that on this occasion we have not lived up to your expectations but hope you can understand the complexity of appliances and we were not to know the exact fault with your appliance without looking at it. "We were promised by visiting engineers to come back with new part but never heard from them despite messaging them several times \r\nAfter two weeks still waiting \r\nNo one in office of Glotech is of any helpful \r\nThey take long time to pick up and answer the phone \r\nVery pathetic service \r\nWe have to go back to our insurance to get an other appointment which was one week away \r\nIt is now four weeks that our problem is not solved and staff at Glotech is not very helpful either " We told them that we are pensioners and disabled and should be looked after well but they are not bothered Very sad

Firstly, the company you subcontracted to do the work (Esteem) changed appointment from Tuesday to Saturday. When they turned up on Saturday they were unable to fix on the day and said the freezer needs Re-gassing which they would return to do. Whilst the engineer was there he stood on freezer shelve and broke it. I called this company on Saturday afternoon to pay the call out fee, but no one was there so I left a message on the office answer phone. On Monday I was called three times with them chasing up the money. Of which I paid as soon as I had got out of work meetings. I found this exceptionally rude. The lady I dealt with claire on the phone was very curt and awkward and would not tell me when the engineer would return to fix the problem. I emailed the company to tell them that I was far from pleased with service I had received. They acknowledged our email and offered a full refund for the call out. I rang them to get this sorted and to find out when a engineer would return to fix the freezer. Claire proceeded to tell me that they will not be sending a engineer as they are unable to get the part needed. We feel that they have completely wasted our time especially as our tenants are without a usable freezer. I asked to speak to someone higher in the company of which Claire passed the phone to her husband Owen. We proceeded to have a heated discussion of which I voiced my opinions about there terrible customer care. I found Owen completely obnoxious and he admitted that when they recievied our email they decided at that point they was not going to fix our freezer even if they could get the part or not. I am questioning if they really could not get the part or if that in there opinion we was customers they could do without. we was not given a refund for the call out fee as promised. The telephone call ended with Owen asking to see photos of the broken freezer shelf. We have promptly emailed them over and requested they honour our refund. so far we are yet to get a response. The company has no customer skills whatsoever. Since using this company we have read customer reviews which are also experiencing similar service and problems as we have. In one review the family never received a refund for the engineer call out, as I suspected we will not either. We will not use your service again either,as we thought using a company Iike yourself would use reputable companies. All we want to do is get our freezer fixed as quickly as possible and at this moment this still has not happened although from our first point of contact with your company was two weeks ago. The compressor you was going to change on my fridge freezer was double the price ,I no there are gas to replace but not that much .

Engineer arrived soon after booking. Very police and got on with the task in hand - repairing our main oven which had blown the heating element.
