“I have several pairs of Gabor shoes in various sizes. They are very comfortable and I would recommend them, although they are expensive. Recently order in different sizes and had to send 2 pairs back and was disappointed that I had to pay to return the items. Have never had to do this before, but I suppose it is the sign of the times.”

“Over the years my wardrobe is full of a range of Gabor shoes as they cater for wide fitting (G) and are easy to wear. A few have not fitted so well. The fitting of some of them in the same size can be different. Generally reliable. I now have bought my third pair of Slash Casual Ballet Pumps. Practical and very comfortable.”

“Have worn Gabor shoes for years. Great quality and fit. I am replacing a pair that is 10 years old. I ordered the wrong size but have reordered the correct size. Return process was simple and refund prompt. Can't recommend them enough. Looking forward to receiving correct size shoes.”

“This was my first time buying Gabor shoes online. I am usually a size six, but bought half a size down after reading reviews which said the shoes came up large. They were still too big for me so needed to be returned. I had, mistakenly, thought Gabor offered free returns (like other similar brands, Geox, Camper, etc), but I discovered I had misread their website and returns are not free. It cost me just under a tenner to return them (including insurance - as I didn't want to risk ending up £100 out of pocket if the parcel got lost). That was enough to put me off ordering a smaller size, in case they also didn't fit and I would be further out of pocket, having to return those. I won't be ordering from Gabor again online. You can return to their branches, but there are none where I live (London). I like Gabor shoes, but will stick to buying them in person from concessions - or online from other retailers (like John Lewis) which offer free returns. Given how often the fit of shoes isn't quite right, it does seem a bit short sighted not to offer free returns or at least where the cost is capped (as the likes of Uniqlo and others do).”

We do deliver free of charge and as stated in our terms and conditions, we do ask customers to cover the cost of return postage. There is a link on our website to Collect + where for the low cost of £4.49 you can buy a tracked label to return up to 10 kilo, so several pair of shoes can be returned in one package. Thank you for your review. We do deliver free of charge, but as in our terms and conditions, do ask customers to pay for returns. You can send back an item using second class Royal Mail which is keeps cost low and then add tracking which is around 80p more. Also there is a link on our website to Collect + where for the low cost of £4.49 you can return up to 10 kilo, so several pair of shoes can be returned in one package. You can also return orders to any Charles Clinakrd store which will save you the cost of any postage charges. I hope that this information helps for future orders. “I was disappointed with the shoes. I have has Gabor shoes in the past and have been very satisfied with them. Both pairs I bought were UK 7. One pair were the right length but too deep. The other pair were far too long on the foot length. I shall be returning them. Obviously buying on line is not an option as your sizing cannot be trusted any more”

Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear that the shoes that you ordered were not a good fitting for you. One of the pairs that you ordered was a standard fitting and the other was a wide fitting, this may be why you found the 2 pairs to have such a different fit when you tried them on. “I thought I purchased the Gabor shoes from Gabor but upon receipt of my shoes seen it was through the Clickard Group! I purchased shoes over £50 & had to pay for the postage if £5.59 for their return . I will not be purchasing again .”

Thank you for your review. Gabor is a German Company and Charles Clinkard shoes, run the Gabor website in the UK. This means that we can offer free postage to UK customers for delivery and keeps their costs low if they do have to return an item as they can be returned to us here in the UK, or they can be returned to a Charles Clinkard store if there is one close to you. “I was so excited about getting these boots and was so disappointed when they arrived! I bought two pairs of boots in the same style but different colours at just under £400. The boxes that they arrived in were battered and tatty, the boots were either scratched or looked like they had been tried on by lots of people before me and the inside packaging was insufficient to keep the shape and quality of the product and an array of odd bits of paper and plastic. Processing my order and managing my return and refund was excellent.”
