“Really spacious storage without the bed looking bulky. Very easy to open even with a heavy mattress. Great choice of colours and fabrics available. The dust cover helps a little, however doesn't stop completely the dust from getting in. All the staff were very polite and helpful: the girl in the showroom, the delivery men (extremely careful not to cause any damage to walls/furniture while carrying the bed on a 2nd floor and while assembling it) and David was super fast in replying to any queries!”

“We found that : the box structure appears more robust than other storage beds and this has been borne out with our 8 months' experience so far, cloth on the headboard and surrounding the base was well sown, lifting mechanism works well, the inset in the base works well to balance the apparent hight of the bed with the depth of the mattress on top (we chose the biggest volume base), delivery tradesmen did an excellent speedy assembly job - having seen them in action, is is well wothwhile not doing it yourself! Very pleased - thoroughly recommended.”

“I was very pleased with the Furl experience, the bed arrived on time and is very comfortable. We got the Max Bed with a 60cm headboard and Luxury 1500 mattress. The only thing I would suggest is going for the integrated headboard instead of fixed with the two wooden planks one like we did, as there is quite a big gap between the mattress and the headboard so not ideal esthetically and it moves a bit which we got used to but in the beginning got us worried it was going to break every time we leaned against it. Otherwise great service, both at the showroom and during the delivery, would definitely recommend!”

“We purchased a Super King Storage Bed. Very professional service from start to finish. Showroom staff were helpful and knowledgeable. The ordering and payment process was simple and arrangements for delivery, plus the delivery itself and assembly on site were handled efficiently and with no last minute dramas. Due to delays in having a new bedroom carpet fitted we asked on two occasions of the delivery to be delayed. This was no problem, in fact staff could not have been more accommodating and cooperative. The bed itself is, as advertised, a high quality product with which we are delighted. We certainly would not hesitate to recommend Furl to anyone, without reservation.”

“Furl were highly recommended to me by a friend. I went to their London showroom to place my order, and I'm glad I did - I chose a different bed than I thought I would, and it was far better to choose fabric and colour in person. The delivery experience was also very good. They have limited days for delivery, but once a date was set it went very smoothly. A team of two come to assemble the bed, and they do it remarkably quickly. Make sure you know exactly where you want it - as it is impossible to move afterwards! And the finished product is fantastic. A solid, comfortable bed with amazing storage space - which takes up less floor space than my old wrought iron bed!”

“I had endured numerous nights on temporary beds in other people's houses and in our own when family came to stay. We live in Norfolk and had got to the stage when family would take over the upstairs and we would sleep downstairs on a blow up bed. I had just retired and was looking forward to seeing more of the family so investigated sofa beds. The claims of FURL that they combined a comfortable sofa with a well built bed base and a pocket sprung mattress convinced me to arrange a visit with my wife to their Wembley showroom to try out different models, and combine it with a visit to the theatre. The visit proved very useful as there were a number of other couples and families all doing their own searches. This was a hands on experience on different sizes, shapes and materials with sample books to flick through. At the end of a couple of hours and listening to the comments of other people, we left to go home with samples and measurements. We placed an order for a two seater Milano sofabed having come down to earth and realised we only live in a small cottage and needed to match colours, choosing a green linen finish. The order was placed with a deposit at the start of September and delivery was in November. The van arrived earlier than indicated, and assembly was satisfactory with only one retaining screw having to be repositioned. The sofabed was used at Christmas for a few days leaving the jury out. We have just slept on it for 7 consecutive nights this August and are very pleased with its comfort at night, its ease of tidying up and stowing it away in the morning. Meanwhile it has served as a very comfortable sofa in our living room for us and our monthly book group.”

“Furl supplied two sofa beds for our new home. Their service was excellent and the quality of the sofa beds appears to be very good indeed. It was surprisingly easy to complete the transaction on the web but their email and telephone support was unfailingly patient and helpful. The sofa's were delivered a little ahead of due date and the delivery and assembly crew polite, cheerful and efficient. The overall rating of "very good" is easily justified. Many thanks to David and his staff.”

“Very satisfied with the bed which we have now had for 6 months. The communication about delivery arrangements was very good and we had a call from the installation team shortly before arrival. In our case this was particularly helpful as we were the 1st call on their run very early in the morning. The installation team was very courteous and professional. They used over shoes and were very careful not to cause any damage in the house. Also they were very informative about the workings of the bed and the caution that would need to be exercised should one ever wish to dismantle & move the bed should this be required, They indicated that Furl also provides a service regarding this should it be thought necessary/helpful. They were dressed smartly and not at all scruffy as is often the case with delivery teams. We had made our own purchase independently of a Dunlopillo mattress. This was because we have had this type of mattress twice before and it is our preferred option. The mattress had been delivered in advance of the bed base delivery and was stored in the second bedroom. The installation team volunteered, without any prompting by us, to place the mattress on the base unwrapping it etc. This was very helpful as such a Kingsize mattress is very heavy and awkward to manoeuvre. My only slight criticism is that I feel Furl should be more informative on their website regarding the fact that due to the way the bed is constructed, standard headboards do not match the fittings provided in the ottoman base and that unless one wishes to make an after market modification to any such standard headboard, then it is necessary if a headboard is required, to purchase one of the Furl bespoke versions. We may seek to do this in the future. The website could also perhaps be altered to make it easier to navigate when selecting options. For example it is necessary to select each headboard separately in turn to establish how it looks and it is not (as far as I am aware) possible to see all the headboards together on a page for the purpose of making comparisons.”

“Buying a bed from Furl has been a very positive experience. We ordered material samples that arrived very promptly and the various questions we had were also answered quickly and in detail via email. Once we had decided to purchase the bed we were kept informed as to when it would be ready and given a delivery date/time. The installer was polite and helpful and had the bed constructed within 45 minutes or so. He left the room tidy and removed all packaging materials etc. Furl do exactly what they say they will do. A great bed with masses of space. Not the cheap option but highly recommended.”

“My fiancé and I had been researching beds for some time before we stumbled across 'The Storage Bed Company' online a few years ago, which has since been renamed to Furl. We visited the showroom in Neasden and were very impressed - the owner was present on the day and was extremely knowledgeable about his products. The amount of storage in all of the beds, but specifically the Max, was significant and just what we required (for my ridiculously-sized shoe collection!). We had to wait a bit before we decided to order but when we returned to the showroom a couple of years later, the owner was there again and just as enthusiastic about his products, which is fantastic to see. We purchased a king-size Max storage bed with end-opening mechanism, 'Deeply' headboard, oak feet, electronic security box and dust cover in 'Linen' fabric. On the day of delivery, 2 men assembled the bed within 30 minutes and were very professional and courteous, and did not leave any mess or packaging behind. The build of the bed is excellent, and it is very sturdy. I am extremely pleased I bought the electronic safe as well, it's been so useful. All in all, I am extremely pleased with the bed and would not hesitate to recommend purchasing from Furl. I would suggest a visit to their showroom if you are able, just to meet with the owner and see the vast array of fabrics on offer.”

“I ordered the Illusion style double bed and it looks absolutely beautiful. The storage is fantastic and as the name describes you can't actually tell it's an ottoman bed. I visited the showroom in Wembley and met David and his team who were extremely helpful. I have a challenge with getting items up my stairs but David assured me whichever bed I opted for it could be built to accommodate any access challenge. The delivery process was quick and efficient, from a specific time slot, to a call to a quick installation and demonstration. I can't recommend Furl highly enough.”

“So pleased with this purchase. I did a lot of research before buying and I am confident that I have made the right choice. It was not the cheapest but I think these storage beds have the best capacity on the market and they open up very high. The quality of the bed also seems very good, strong and sturdy. “We've had our Furl Sofa-bed for a couple weeks now and its fulfilling their high-standard promises in an exemplary fashion. We couldn't ask for or get more from the product or service. From the super efficient delivery (20 mins I think in total from door-knock an hour earlier than their quoted slot to done and left) including unwrapping and assembly, explaining care of the leather and use of the extra features we chose (twice, with nothing but professional courtesy, to ensure my wife understood), all with great care for our flat and no problem bringing it up the stairs with the full delivery option to all our showroom visit experiences (which is quite spacious and very clean). David and others at Furl are very friendly, helpful, and honest, and gave us plenty of time over multiple visits (he waited for us to be done at closing time once), no pressure. If there is one tiny wish, the website isn't always super intuitive eg. materials selection especially on our 10" tablet, and selecting custom colours from their wider range you need to have the right fabric "custom" option chosen for the price quote to be accurate I believe (as of 2016). We love that its a British company and made here, we love the colour we chose (having had several swatches sent us and compared at home in different lighting situations), and the leather is fabulous plus we know if there's any problems under warranty they will remake any piece/the whole thing in the same colour for many years yet and match it up. The 5 year warranty on /everything/ (not just the frame like many lesser companies) is indicative of a quality brand putting its money where its mouth is. We love the extra features we chose (at reasonable prices) you just can't get anywhere else - the storage arms, the moving system (wheels on hidden levers - makes shifting it/lifting the legs for cleaning a breeze), having a taller back cushion for my back support (I'm 6'). Its also about the longest mattress we found (very tall friends/relatives will be sleeping on it occasionally!) and the reflex foam is so much more comfortable compared to almost[*] every other sofa bed we tried out in shops, you can't feel the metal bars or straps underneath and its frame doesn't get in the way when you're swinging limbs over the side, nor does the sofa back/arms (so much). The leather has just settled down from its slightly chemical-smelling brand-newness and dissipated/"out-gassed" (aka "off-gassed" as this is called - is the same on other leathers) its initial new-ness, its starting to smell more like plain older leather. All the pieces arrived clear-plastic coated so hadn't yet had a chance to do that since manufacture. [*] just a couple other brands in the same ball-park price for the basic sofa could compete on mattress comfort and length, but its mainly a sofa for us and occasional visitor bed and the difference wasn't material enough (ho ho!) to lose out on all the other fantastic Furl features/service. Heartily recommend Furl sofa beds if within your budget (or you can stretch to it after trying out others that fall short), especially if you like the extra options available like we have.”
