obsolete website, half the products not delivered due to unavailability.. not sure i’ll ever try again

Very sorry about this. If you want to order again we'll be able to remove any delivery charge as quite a bit was taken off your order. Sometimes we have temporary stock shortages of items due to stock errors or supplier issues. Please e-mail customerservice@frenchclick.com or matthew@frenchclick.com to arrange that if you want.

Delighted to find this, service could not have been quicker. Notification of delivery would have helped as I missed it. Tried to track it but function wasn't available. Products are great.

I’ve ordered for the first time from French Click this month and I am very happy with the service. Only one item was wrong and the rest of the products arrived in perfect condition. Fresh produce was wrapped to keep cool and was excellent quality. Costs are reasonable if you choose a standard delivery. My order arrived 8 days after being logged. I haven’t been able to go to France over the last two years and I’m missing my French shopping. I will certainly use French Click again and build up the ‘Express’ list, which allows you to reorder regular items quickly. An excellent service, definitely recommended.

The rillettes de canard are delicious. I wish that I’d paid for a faster delivery, as although they were well packed in a bubble wrap bag, polystyrene shrimps and in a box, as well as having an ice bag with them, they had totally defrosted. However I don’t suppose they will last long enough to suffer, my fault for not thinking it through, and I will make a note for next time. It occurs to me that it would be sensible to have a note on the delivery page about this - a suggestion that it might be better to choose to pay for faster delivery of things that will not travel so well.

Ordering and payment was easy. I paid £10 for a Saturday morning delivery. On Friday I received an email from their courier (DPD) advising me my order was on hand and that so would receive it on Monday. I called French Click and was reassured this was an error and that I would definitely receive my order the next morning ( Saturday). I immediately emailed confirming our conversation and that Monday would be too late. I waited all morning and as the DPD tracking was still showing the order as being at their hub I rang DPD. They were apologetic but had to advise the order was despatched on a ‘next working day’ service but this excluded Saturday. I called French Click but all telephone numbers just rang any rang. Sure enough, mid Monday morning DPD delivered my parcel. Rather than being in a good grade polystyrene case as I have received from other online food retailers, all items were tightly packed in a cardboard box with 3 melted ice strips and a few polystyrene chips. My order consisted of about 3kgs of meat products and a delicate Tarte aux Pomme. Naturally the tarte was smashed as no provision had been made to protect it at all. Also, my large pack of Merguez sausages has been overlooked (they showed as present on the advice note) and Toulouse sausages were delivered instead. Having been packed 72 hours earlier, the ice had melted and the meat was warm. No use to me. I called French Click to complain, and the same lady I spoke on Friday was vaguely apologetic and agreed to my request for a refund, which arrived minutes later. All in all, a great shame. I am in two minds whether to try them again.

Very sorry about this. The order was accidently booked in on the Monday service rather than Saturday. Fresh orders need to be delivered within 24h to maintain the correct temperature. So the order was refunded. If you have any photos of the package please send them to customerservice@frenchclick.com so we can investigate that is was packed properly.

Prompt delivery. Exactly what I ordered. This was my first order and only a small one. I have now put in a large order to be delivered tomorrow - everything which I would have bought in France on one of my day-trips, which are no longer possible at present. I will be making regular orders.

Ordering was easy, choice of delivery too. Invoice was received for the ordered goods. Parcel received on the due date. 3 items missing. Phoned, no reply. 3 emails sent. No reply. Eventually received a revised invoice and charged for what I had received but still no explanation or reply to the emails. Shame as thought I had found a company that could supply what I wanted. The fact that they didn’t tell me my order was short or reply to my emails means I won’t be ordering again.

Choice and quality of food fantastic. Just be aware that the delivery service is busy so you cannot order something and expect it the next day - 5 or 6 days to deliver. This is fine when you are planning an event and you can order well ahead of time. One of my orders wasn't available but they sent the best replacement they could and dealt with my follow up query with courtesy and quickly. I do not know if it was a courier or their own driver who made my delivery (to South West London).

I have bought many things from Frenchclick over the years and NEVER had less than 5 star products and services. Most satisfying of all is that they will attempt to find a source of a product you have requested which is not in their product list. Having lived and worked in Paris for 5 years it is great to find products that don't appear in supermarkets here (or, if they do, are greatly overpriced!). They are great! Brian Wood

Usually much better than this. E-mail message from them to say there would be a delay in delivering due to waiting for delivery. Email back immediately to say it wasn't a problem but that I was away until a certain date so please fix delivery after that. No response. Within two hours I had a message from DPD saying our delivery was fixed fir the original date but that the package had not yet been received. Second email from DPD changing the date to after I had left for holiday - BUT offering me the option to deliver to a neighbour; took that option and gave the address. No delivery! Neighbour checked later that day and found the package had been left at my address anyway. Can't say I was too impressed with the 'joined-up' logistics.

Everything was as expected. The packaging i was not a fan of. I dont know if they were compostable little polystyrene looking things or just polystyrene (it didn't say) but there were far too many.

Great products delivered reasonably quickly. One star deducted for packing them in a huge volume of environmentally-unfriendly polystyrene chunks which I had to put in the bin for landfill. Prefer to put used packing materials in the recycling bin.

A bit disappointed with the substantial increase in the delivery charges. The website suggested £1.20 for orders over £100, but it appeared to be £6.50 either above or below £100. Apart from that I was happy with the order.

Sorry to hear this. Unfortunately the extra costs from customs has lead to this increase in our delivery charges. The cheaper delivery is only available on Tuesday to Friday slots. There should always be at least one day with it available.
