“I have been very pleased with the service provided by this company they package all of my stuff carefully and I get it rather quickly even though it is international. I strongly recommend it to my friends who shop on the Resell sites over in the UK. Having forward VIA has Opened up my closet to new pieces I never would have even considered in the past I strongly recommend it!”

“The service is generally good however the shipping is more costly than most other places and takes average 9 days even by Federal Express. More choices of carrier such as DHL and UPS would be welcome. From dispatch to receipt of parcel should not be more than five business days.”

“I purchased an album in the UK for delivery to Malaysia. Forwardvia's service is smooth and the interface is very straight forward. Looking forward to my next shipment. Only wish is Royal Post's rates are lower in price.”

“The service worked perfectly, although it turned out to be expensive. It cost more to collate the items and ship them together than if I had just ordered them all separately direct to Australia. It was worth a try. The collation fees are pretty high since all it seemed to involve was putting the unopened packages together in a box. This service would suit high-priced items.”

“I really like to use forwardvia to be able to receive my favorite groceries from the uk while living abroad. My only problem is the cost of postage. They completely overcharge, I have compared their costs to parcelmonkey and I know they could bring the prices down. It puts me off using them as often as I would like”

ForwardVia is not a courier or the courier comparison site you mentioned. Although shipping rates may be lower in comparison to other courier companies, the price paid to ForwardVia includes the use of our UK address, the acceptance, processing, storing, and preparation of your goods for international transit including any export paperwork required. “I wanted a UK product from a seller that did not offer shipping to the U.S. and would not accept payment from a U.S. billing address. Forwardvia made the purchase for me and shipped it promptly to me. Communication was excellent and pricing was fair. I would use them again without hesitation.”

Many thanks for taking the time to review our services however I'm sorry to hear that you are unhappy with the import taxes paid. Import tax and duty depend on item type and value. Import charges are determined by the local government, and couriers collect the tax on behalf of the local customs. Usually, local couriers will request the receiver to pay before delivery. As with any shipment or purchase from outside the country, there will be local customs or tax and duty charges. It is as stated on our website and shown at the time of order, the shipping cost paid excludes local tax and duty. The taxes you paid has nothing to do with IOSS. With IOSS you would have to pay us the taxes in advance prior to shipping. Therefore, the import tax amount would have been the same. UK VAT on sold goods is chargeable by the UK government. You may be able to ask them to exclude the UK VAT when they sold you the goods or claim it back from the store/seller. This is something you need to discuss with the store. “An item that was difficult to source was available with a UK supplier. However, they only shipped locally. So, ForwardVia's service was the ideal solution to my overseas shipping need. There was no delay at the forwarding stage. I will happily use ForwardVia again.”

“I've been using Forwardvia for about a year. I'm rather impressed! I've always found there to be a quick response and quick posting. And they give really sensible postage options - often including Royal Mail. I've found a lot of other services only give you couriers at quite significant prices. So this is a great alternative. Thanks!!!”

Should a package arrive with inadequate boxing from the seller we would advise customers to re-pack it into a more suitable box before shipping, and we do always ensure the packages and contents are secure before they leave us for international shipping.
